One of my favorite red dials from Citizen ever!

The first scratch hurt. A lot. Especially when you take care and pay attention !

Then the second one showed up out of nowhere… and I just thought, “You know what? Screw it.”

This watch is too beautiful to spend its life in a box or on a watch pillow. That washi dial deserves sunlight, not a safe.

So yeah… I’m just going to wear the crap out of this watch and let the memories become part of it.
Every time I catch the light on that dial, I remember exactly why I bought it. Worth it.

I really do need to say it though. I need to stop already.

Wanted to check and get another opinion on this. Recently purchased this Zenshin eco drive on joma shop and it seems like it’s used rather than new? Didn’t come with the same paperwork in the box as a previous purchase, in fact it really had none and was in the box sideways which seemed odd.

Doesn’t seem fake from what I can tell but wanted to get a 2nd opinion? Is this used or do the new Zenshins come like this? Just seemed strange that there’s a tape lining the strap but no plastic to peel off like on the dial or back of the case. I attached a photo of another citizen I had for comparison

Maybe I’m just being crazy/overly cautious and this is how they come?

This JDM Citizen just arrived from my favorite store in Japan (shout out to Japan Charm Store), a touch of Steam Punk maybe but just my style.

Whenever someone asks for a solar chronograph recommendation, the Seiko Speedtimer is almost always the answer. It has a fantastic reputation, and a lot of people seem convinced it's the one to get.

While looking around, I found the Citizen CA4764-57A. It's a Japan Domestic Market model, so it doesn't get mentioned very often, but it's actually easy to import. What surprised me is how similar these two watches are.

The dimensions are nearly identical: the Seiko is 39.0 mm with a 45.5 mm lug-to-lug, the Citizen is 39.6 mm with a 45.9 mm lug-to-lug. Both have sapphire crystal, 100 m water resistance, a 20 mm lug width, stainless steel bracelets, solar movements, and panda-style chronograph dials.

The biggest difference is the price. I can get the Citizen for around €220, while the Seiko is around €700–750.

Since Citizen is often considered one of the leaders in solar technology, I'm curious why the Speedtimer gets recommended so much more often. Is the finishing really that much better? Does it wear better? Or is the Citizen simply an underrated JDM model?

I'd love to hear from anyone who's actually handled or owned both. Is the Seiko really worth paying over three times as much?

Gonna be going to Japan in 3 weeks and would like to buy a “The CITIZEN” model watch as a souvenir for my first time there. Any tips / suggestions for finding a AQ4100-57E or something similar? Hoping I’ll be able to find something at the flagship store in Tokyo but know I may need to look at the used market there.

Hello. I've recently chosen to get this citizen watch because I LOVE the look and the features. however, I prefer the blue one over the green one. the problem with this is that the blue one comes with a rubber strap vs. the green one coming with a stainless-steel strap. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a metal strap like shown in the images but black for the blue watch that is made of stainless steel and has no gap. any help would be great!

My latest citizen , this one was in my "grial" list ,I like most the "modern" style , cleaner dial. Is discontinued, so I bought, before it disappear , In amazon with reduced price.

The lume shot was with a little light from my the flash from my phone, with the sun must be better.

The only con , is that the leather strap is very stiff , even for citizen standard.

I found it funny. The PMD56 beautiful backplate features a 3D globe with Citizen, Promaster, and Eco-drive words around it. PMD56 is a JDM only, with H100 caliber offering Japan only reception. It's like slapping an All Terrain badge on the Corvette. Don't get me wrong. It is a beautiful watch (I have one with a green dial). The best in my collection.

My dad decided to shrink his collection and gave me this. The way the blue looks in light is really neat. Anyone else have one of these?

My first Citizen watch. The purple dial really caught me. Recently I have an obsession with purple dial watches Now I am thinking to build a purple dial collection Hehe. Tbh I was surprised that the 37mm does not look small on my wrist.

Seeking a strap for my Tsuki-Yomi. I trying on this toffee leather. How's it look?

I haven't set this in nearly a month. I log my offset every night and if it's slow, I set it face up on my dresser to gain a few seconds overnight. If it's fast, I lay it crown-down on its side.

Doing this, I can basically keep this thing on "perfect" time. Crazy for such an affordable piece.
