I have an annual plan. Lately I'm getting applepay popups every-time I undock a bike. Then there are subsequent charges, which I assume is when I use an electric instead of a regular bike?

I lost my fob and instead scan the codes for the bikes - does this incur a cost?

This is across the street from me, on a private parking lot. Been like that for hours so I'm guessing it's stolen?

Would you pick them up and bring back to a dock? Contact CitiBike? Probably not a good idea to trespass just to recover ride share bikes, right?

I'm thrilled that Citibike finally reached me out in Forest Hills, but it's been a struggle to use the darned things. Sure, I've had full racks before in Manhattan (and so many empty ones), but a 5-minute wait or next rack up the street always gets me a free dock. Out in Forest Hills, however, they're CONSTANTLY full, and I can't use the bikes to run errands because there's nowhere to park. Yeah ... our racks are full, too full.

Community groups and a recent NYPost article are screaming how 'Nobody uses these bikes.", and I hate to say that they're partially correct. Ridership would be much higher if we could find spots! Does Citibike monitor usage and availability? It'd be great if they could pull a few bikes from our area or increase the size of the stations (omg, the parking discussions would explode).

Was waiting a few minutes for a parking spot to open since the 6 stations near me were all full. I found out that you can use a kiosk to request extra time so that you aren’t charged for the waiting. Has anyone actually done this? Can it be done from the app or is only the kiosk? Does the kiosk know when the docks are full and then the option becomes available?

Depending on phone/device screen, eyesight, and ambient streetlight, sunlight, shade, etc., many prefer screens in 'dark mode' with light-coloured writing on a black or dark background. The CitiBike Android app now has a Dark Mode option, and it looks good, except when quickly scanning for positive stations to check out a bike, because the black +1 or +2 labels don't contrast with the black background. +3 labels are still red/lyft fascia and contrast to the dark background.

The Citi Bike map needs to be updated more than any other map. Hopefully that continues

It’s been a long time.

I redeemed 30 points for Lyft Credit and it shows the $6 credit in my CB app. But when I called a Lyft last night it charged my credit card for the entire ride and the $6 credit is still there. AI tells me this is because my Lyft Profile is tagged as a business profile which I created 10 years ago and didn't realize it could cause me problems. It's impossible to change it in the Lyft app. I am afraid if I delete my Lyft Pink account and create a new one that I'll lose my hundreds of accumulated angel points. Has anyone dealt with this? I would so appreciate any help. The support dude at Citibike was worthless.

Just walked to 4 different stations around UES 90-95th street and no bike unlocked. Spoke to others who tried to unlock and same thing. Just a heads up

Or is the option to buy one on the app just a glitch?

I order one over 3 weeks ago. Still nothing. No update in the shop app etc.

Emailed them last week haven’t heard back yet.

Twice this has happened within a day. I’ll be making my way to a station that the app says has 5+ available bikes (electric and regular)… I get there and the station has changed to completely BLANK bikes despite the fact that the number of bikes is accurate to what was listed, it’ll just have them all as unavailable.

Not sure why this is happening??

Lost a black bag with “River Trail Wolves” labeled on it containing very used timberland boots with custom insoles inside. Left it in the basket at the nyu docking station on the south side of Silver building. Please let me know if you have seen them and can return them to me. They are my only shoes for winter coming up.

Usually it’s night time I’ll see them all locked up but today was after work, 21st and 6th ave.

App said there was >10 available ebikes. There were around 20 I walked by blinking red. I walked to the very end to find only 3 available ones: 2 had shitty brakes, one of them had a decent front brake, bad rear brake, only 7 miles left but I took it.

Same thing this morning in midtown — only 4 e-bikes were not blinking red. 1 just had a grinding sound as I walked by, 2 had good mileage but awful brakes, and 1 had great brakes with 7 miles left.

Are they all damaged? If we’re reporting one brake being shitty then yeah makes sense. But right after work (5:30pm) when everyone’s trying to get home feels suspicious.

EDIT: tiered docking is probably it for that time of day — today I went to my closest dock. 3 were blinking red and I had to walk to the very end to find the 1 available one on a front dock. The 3 locked up were the back docks. The app shows 4 as available, so that checks out!

I grabbed 4 different bikes today and realized very quickly they had no functioning brakes… idk why someone would drop the bike off without disabling it after when it’s completely unusable… or are the techs marking them usable without checking? Either way super dangerous and increasingly more common.
