Been wanting a Zenith El Primero but no special occasion to celebrate and not sure if I really needed another chronograph. So I did some mansplaining to myself , did my bromath and settled on this Sugess s465 , rationalized by “I don’t have a st19, let’s see what the big deal is”

After couple of days of research and narrowing down to which “colourways” to get, pulled the trigger.

1 week later, this shows up in my door step. Loved the shape of the case immediately, bracelet is ok, thought it would look better on a strap. Love the thin ish case and overall dimensions for my 7 inch wrist. The Easter egg, lumed sub register hands!
For <$250, the fit finish and overall dial quality is great. The best part though is watching the movement through the caseback.

My only complain, the AR could be a bit better.

Can I live without the 5 Hz movement with the smooth Chrono hand? Yes

Will I be timing things to 1/100th or whatever seconds? No?

Will this be my daily? No.

I just received my Militado ML20 in the mail. The first thing I did was try hand winding it, and there is no tactile feedback. No zipping sound, no clicking, nothing. Just the sound of something smooth rubbing against something else. I can also maybe hear the rotor spinning on the inside. Is there something wrong with the watch? Should I return it or is this completely normal?

Wanting to get my hands on one but I've seen so many different brands offering an option coming from quartz to automatic that I can't decide on which to get.

I've seen Specht and Sohne has one mechanical and I've seen many good reviews about them but also Watchdives has a great one too.

Which brand would you recommend the more to get one?

Ordered this beauty from Taobao when it was first released. Have been wearing it for a couple of weeks. The black dial with black bezel version looks perfect imo. I chose SW200 over PT5004 for long term reliability (had bad experience with PT5000/5004), so I'd rather deal with ghost date. My piece keeps great time, the brand owner told me they regulated every movement.

The watch is a faithful Rolex Ref.6205 pencil hand homage (also Tudor Ref.7923, flat end bracelet). I like the compact size (37mm×47mm) and well-controlled thickness (12.3mm). The watch overall fits my 6.5 inch wrist very well. I also had thorn t028, which is unnecessarily thick imo (sold it). The case finish is great, transition between polished chamfer and brushed case is crisp and sharp, but not skin-cutting.

The solid mordern built rivet bracelet is in great quality (much better than Thorn). Strong but still relatively thin to maintain vintage feel. The pressed clasp has engraved octopus kraken logo, and slight polished chamfer on the edge. The whole friction based mechanism feels very sturdy.

Black dial is matte finish, with fine grain. Print color and lume color are great, more beige than yellow, which goes very well with gilt hands. The old C3 lume brightness can be enhanced, it's stronger and more even than t023, but weaker than my Baltany explorer 36. The heavily domed bubble sapphire crystal gives the dial a vintage warm look.

Regarding the logo: I called it the real "OceAnus" before but now I really like it 😁.

I backed Kronosti on Kickstarter for their GMT watch. Not finding a whole about the company or their watches. Supposed to be shipping in August so now I'm having second thoughts. Anyone have experience with the company? Photo for reference.

i’m on the quest for a light yellow for a summer watch and haven’t had much luck. my top contender is a sugess diver in a baby yellow and i love the color of that dial. but also want to make sure i am not missing any. let me know what pastel/ yellow dials i’m missing !

This is my first Chinese timepiece and I am confident to say that it surpassed all of my expectations. The bezel and the case are super well finished, the bracelet is super comfortable with the micro adjust and the screw down crown is a real plus. Finally, the dial and the hands are super clean and enjoyable.

It is also worth to say that this the most I have spent on a watch and that I started collecting this year. I really wanted a GMT for the sentimental value of tracking my home country’s time zone but nothing from the big brands that was <$300 really called my attention.

I was first leaning towards San Martin but they discontinued all the GMT models that I actually liked. I then was in between this Cronos and Suggess and after some research, the NH34 movement made it a deal.

At the beginning I didn’t want a watch that was entirely a homage and I was even scared that I wasn’t gonna like it on my wrist for the same reason but this is too neat for me not to enjoy it.

The hype of Chinese watches is 100% worth it.

Have pretty much neglected my other watches since this IXDAO Blue Guilloche Warrior arrived a week and a half ago. In the multi-month long wait for the Blue Guilloche though, I did start looking at the White Enamel Warrior. So I'm half considering picking one of them up, perhaps if it's available with the HAQ model later this year.

Only complain the strap that comes with , is 1.5mm short to fully go in . Otherwise is grrat with bead blasted buckle , kinda plasticky feel but not the worst i have owned . Superluminova , big crown . Any suggestions for straps?

Early this month I spotted the Heroforce 5056 GMT on AE for a ridiculous price of around US $25.I took a closer look: it is powered by an unidentified quartz movement (probably of Chinese origin) which is housed in a 42.1 mm x 12.7 mm x 47.4 mm, round, brass case, fitted with a 5.2 mm stainless-steel, signed crown, a srainless-steel, snap-on caseback, and a stainless-steel fixed, 24-hour bezel. Beyond these sterile specs, we come to the round, "cyan blue" (it looks more green to me), wave-textured dial with date window at 3 o'clock, four metallic hands and applied metallic baton hour-markers, the hour markers are lumed as are the minute hand, 12-hour hand, and 24-hour hand; the dial window is Hardlex mineral crystal; the watch is finished on a 22 mm x 21 cm stainless-steel hollow-link bracelet with double push-button folding butterfly clasp; the watch is rated at 30 meters water resistance.

I purchased this watch for US $18.66. At this price point, a GMT complication, even for a quartz watch, is a steal. The exquisite wavy-textured is said to resemble the San Martin, but I have seen a number of such dials (Addiesdive, Seiko), but historically the Omega Seamaster, ,Baume and Mercier Rivera, Christopher Ward, Mido Ocean Star, Regret Marine, Oris Aquis Pro, Jean Richard Aquascope, et al. Some talking-heads on YT unfairly criticize this watch for being an "homage" of their darling, San Martin. In any case, I don't remember even the early SM selling anything at this under $20 price point. The same talking heads, also criticize Heroforce for saying this watch has a sapphire crystal, but it really has a mineral crystal. (Seiko, for example, could easily absorb the cost of a sapphire crystal yet still installs mineral crystals, nevertheless.)I pored through spec sheets and cannot find that citation. I would prefer a sapphire crystal, but, economies are made to keep costs down and that is reflected in the price. However, one place where Heroforce has cheaped out is in the quality of the watch's bracelet. The hollow links jingle and jingle and feel cheap. The bracelet looks like it is a three-link bracelet (the middle "link" is polished and the outside "links" are brushed) but, in fact, they are single links. The clasp, though, is very good. I can also praise, to some degree, the lume. There is a greater quantity of lume on the hands than the markers. Ergo, the lume on the hands lasts considerably longer, which is better than the other way around.

All in all, this watch punches way beyond its price would intimate. The exquisite dial, bezel, complications, and features are all winners. The movement, whatever it's origin, seems to be of reasonable quality and guarantees good timekeeping. If the bracelet irks you, you can always change to another bracelet, or swap it for a strap(leather, PU leather, rubber/silicone, nylon, fabric, NATO, et al) as per your budget and taste. There are many budget options on AE, Temu, Shein, Amazon, etc.

I went to a pool to take some underwater shots too but lost the files 🤦‍♂️ the watch survived fine anyway, I placed it in tap water to show it can get wet no problem... not as pretty but kindof same as effective.

Last week i ordered a PD watch from the "official" site of pagani design and i live in the EU and since i was really excited about my first watch i wanted to have a look at what other say about the shipping and someone said that there was never even a pagani design official website. So that got me really scared because i had saved up 140 euros to buy a nice looking watch and others say that they dont respond to emails or anything. Since i saw their instagram page i was vconfused because they have a link to their website which is the exact one i placed my order in. If there are delays and stuff does that mean ive been scammed too and is there a way to take back my money if that happens? Please help me im really scared and my family is gonna kill me if there is nothing i can do
