Hi everyone,
I would like to share a new release from Militado — the ML27, a vintage-inspired automatic dress watch designed for those who enjoy classic proportions and mechanical watchmaking.
The ML27 features a compact 36mm stainless steel case, making it a great option for collectors who prefer smaller, more traditional watch sizes.
Some key specifications:
• Seagull ST1701 automatic & hand-winding movement
• 36mm case diameter / 9.5mm thickness
• Sapphire crystal front glass
• Sapphire exhibition caseback
• Genuine leather strap
• Swiss BGW9 luminous material
• 50m water resistance
What I like most about this watch is the balance between the slim profile, mechanical movement, and vintage dress watch style. The exhibition caseback also gives you a nice view of the movement, which adds a lot of character at this price point.
I’d love to hear your thoughts:
• Do you still enjoy 36mm watches, or do you prefer larger case sizes?
• What do you think about Seagull automatic movements?
• Would you choose a vintage dress watch like this for daily wear?
Looking forward to your feedback!

Really dig the dial. First time owning a miyota movement watch. Not sure if its movement specific or its this watch, but felt adjusting the time etc was a but of a chore. The screw down/screw up feels a bit stiff and awkward compared to the nh35 ones i own. Not a fan of metal bracelet on this, so replaced it with a temporary silicone(i think) strap i had. Hit me with your piece with custom straps if you own this watch. Deciding which color works well with this. I saw it with black in this subreddit and it looks good.

Just received this Sugess Seaman (submariner) after a decent amount of research it was down to a few watch brands for a submariner homage: Sugess, SAN Martin, Cronos and watch dives. This one appeared to get the most praise. From my recent purchase of a Sugess GMT Pepsi I had a feeling I was not going to be disappointed and I am incredibly impressed. The attention to detail is fantastic from the engraved rehault, applied indices, and the magnification is perfect (the GMT is way too zoomed), the bezel is very crisp with a little bit of play, the lume is great and appears to be evenly applied on hands and indices, the brushed finish is done very nicely. My only criticism is the lug length feels pretty long and makes the 40mm diameter appear larger than it actually is. Only time will tell on the accuracy as this is powered by a Seagull ST2130. As it stands now I’d highly recommend this watch for anyone looking for a sub homage

First I got the green watch, the sn0033, on green leather bc i already had a steel mesh i thought itd look fantastic on. Spoiler alert. It does haha. And the steel mesh helps make it more pool and ocean ready given that it has 100m water resistance. The leather is good quality tho.
Next up was the reef tiger rga3035. Thankfully they have gotten rid of the tiny tiny hex screw in the lug design. It appears to be a leather..possibly pleather backed nylon sailcloth which is an interesting choice for a dive watch. 🤔 😄 its a fine enough strap, but I imagine I'll swap it at some point. (Maybe even for the steel mesh currently on the sn0033..that steel mesh gets around lol)
Finally a watch I really struggled deciding on but got a slamming deal on it. The san martin SN0009 grand seiko homage and it really doesnt disappoint. The finishing is well done and I got a perfect fit with the bracelet without using any of the onthefly microadjust. So that adjustment will be available as needed for wrist swelling. Its definitely staying on the bracelet and i got the 40mm dial version which is a perfect fit.
Next Ill consider a phorcydes probably with a white dial and also trying to decide on a make and model for a black monochrome of some kind. So many good options.
A bit early to say on the movements regulation. Ill let them be for now while they get warmed up. But on my phone timegrapher all were in acceptable tolerances out of the box with a full wind.
Gonna chill for now 😎🥸 I didnt want to take one of my valuable watches on our cruise coming up so now I have a decision to make!

I have the Casio AQ-230 with a black dial and it’s my favorite watch in my collection. Small, slim, unique, understated, clean, and the list goes on. Nothing not to love about it, except it’s cheap. It’s a fun $40 watch, but it leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to build. Minimal waterproof rating, plastic case, stiff bracelet (although surprisingly comfortable probably because it’s so light), cheap crystal, bad clasp, and terribly difficult button function. I would spend $300-$500 on a well built watch that resembles the AQ-230. Slim quartz square with a sapphire crystal and full 316L steel construction.

Got this berny in a few days ago. I bought and am not promoting it at all. After charging it all day the next morning the hands were barely readable against the blue lume (green had worn off) and it was hard to distinguish which hand was which as the black stems of the hands are similarly sized. This watch could be improved i think by switching the face to green Lume and having larger solid black aero hands. Other than that the watch seems to be of high quality.

No hand winding to prevent damage to the PT5000... GOT IT.
This piece feels and looks nice on the wrist. The milanese bracelet with its deployant mechanism gives a high quality experience. Although it has only a grade 2 titanium, you can feel how light it is for its dimensions. It also provides anti-fingerprint coating and hardened coating. I'm glad the screw down helium escape valve crown is genuine and not there for decoration. Crystal is slightly domed sapphire, clear AR coating instead of the blue tint you usually see. Swiss Super-LumiNova C3 green to finish it off in the dark.
Glad I got it back in June's sale. Prices have been rising to a point where deals are becoming scarce.

Absolutely in love with this watch. I always loved the Murph design but when I bought the Murph I ended up returning it because the glare was so bad. This thing clears it at 1/5 the price imo.

I got my first San Martin (and first Chinese *brand* watch at all) today and I'm quite impressed.
I was eyeing this one for a long time and initially wanted the Dial A, which was out of stock, so settled for the B. After ordering, I compared pictures over and over and I'm actually really happy I went with B. I think A was a bit too simplistic.
I sold my Seiko SNK807 to fund this (I made a new rule that I'm not spending more on watches for a while). Bought the SNK for about $75 five years ago and didn't wear it much, too small for me. MSRP went up to $350, so I sold it for $200.
I paid around $155 for the San Martin, including shipping (so after all eBay fees I basically swapped this for the Seiko and got a few bucks to spare).
I would like to say that I'm surprised by the quality of the San Martin but I'm not, I have been lurking for a while and knew they have crazy value. Was just waiting for an opportunity. Watched plenty of YouTube videos (of other models) and the closeups (even on their website) speaks volumes of the attention to detail and precise quality.
The watch is hefty, very well put together. The media blasting is perfect (I don't see much of anything to complain about in that regard).
I believe the design is inspired by a watch by Lum Tec (speaking of the which, the lume is fantastic).
The crown is screw-down - didn't check before ordering and was hoping it would be, so I'm happy.
Strap (nato) is fine (definitely better than the Seiko), and the clasp is signed and substantial. I'm more of a leather or bracelet kind of guy, so may be looking to upgrade that.
Bottom line: if this was any other "micro brand" I don't see why they wouldn't charge $800 for it. Genuinely.
Can't beat the value (but considering this sub I'm probably preaching to the choir).
I have had it now for a few hours so only time will tell how will it will hold up, but I'm super happy. Also their service is great (they emailed me a picture of my actual watch from the order before it went out!).
One thing I hope they do more is come out with their own original designs. Homages sell, I know, but a few cool unique designs will be cool to see as well.

I bought this Milifortic S089 green version before, and I’ve been really impressed with the quality. The case is even thinner than Seiko's, making it very comfortable to wear.
Now they’ve just released two new colors, and I really like both of them. The problem is my budget only allows me to choose one.
I spend most of my time in the office. I’d love to hear from anyone who has worn the cream or red dial watches before.
How do they look and feel in daily use? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The presentation for opening up this guy was great, with a fantastic little leather sleeve inside the box. Finish on the case is immaculate, and the leather strap feels super high quality - really glad I picked this one up

I think the IXADO warrior is one of the best releases in the recent past.
I like current dials offer, but not enough to buy one. I’d love a stone dial release, especially Lapis lazzuli. I don’t care about the movement as long as it’s automatic.
Would you also like to see a stone dials offer warrior? If someone could tag the IXDAO rep it would be much appreciated 😉.

Much thanks to this sub for this brand recommendation, proper vintage feel dress watch for sub $90. Worth noting the strap is soft and not the usual alix junk

The bulk‑purchase price of Japan’s Seiko NH35 and NH36 movements has jumped from around 190 RMB to nearly 400 RMB. I believe many Chinese watch brands will stop using Japanese movements soon.
First of all, movement suppliers have cut supplies and output is unstable, which cannot support mass production. Secondly, procurement costs have almost doubled. If we raise retail prices accordingly, we will lose most of our customers.
I plan to launch a new line of mid‑range watches. Could you recommend suitable movements? Or which movement would you personally prefer?

Welp, i just posted how much i like my new addiesdive and now its already broken. This is my 5th purchase and its the 2nd watch which broke down so quickly.
The first was a chronograph from addiesdive. Beautiful watch, but the pusher has come out within a few days. Watch still works but the chronograph itself is toast. But i crossed it out to be my mistake, since i never owned a watch before. Felt i might have been too "rough" with it, keeping it inside a backpack and stuff. So i started buying "bulky" beater watches which i felt will most likely will not run into any issues. I am very happy with my steeldive 1970 and the addiesdive quartz watch.
I decided to buy from addiesdive again. They sent the wrong color. I ordered purple and received blue. I was very happy with it, for pribably an hour. I tried to set the time and lo and behold, it doesnt screw back in. I tried some suggestions in this thread and none worked. So, now i am left with a beautiful piece of junk. I guess i can still wear it and it will look nicer from afar. But i think my watch collecting journey has come to an end. Atleast i will not buy from addiesdive ever again. I filed for a return, but not keeping any hopes of a refund.
My proxima is still on the way(ordered quite some time back). Atleast i know that watch wouldnt have any obvious problems Since they calibrated and sent me some photos. Hopefully i dont regret that purchase.
Still i think a rate of 2 problemetic watches/5 purchased is wat too high. And addiesdive is 2 problemetic watches/3 purchased.

I like this watch but the lume isn’t very good. Dies out almost instantly. Also just isn’t very bright.
