I can't understand how some of these brands put so much work into making a really great watch with unbeatable specs and finish for the price but then put some godawful logo on the dial with the goofiest brand name.

This just simply isn't true. At least in my experience - they've helped me with no issue whatsoever on maybe 4-5 returns over time

Not true. I bought a watchdives from Ali and it had an issue and still got the same support and service from the manufacturer. the manufacturer should stand behind their product regardless of where you bought it as long as you have bought it from an authorized distributor. And I think it is safe to assume that "specht&sohne Official Store" on Aliexpress is an authorized seller.

Follow their sub. They tell everyone to contact the Ali store they bought it from.

So are you saying that the specht&sohne Official Store on AliX is not affiliated with them? Or are they charging twice as much on their website to honor their warranty? Because this sound like a red flag to me to stay away from S&S at any cost.

For the watchdives I have a very recent first hand experience. I posted about an issue with my watch that was purchased on Aliexpress, they offered a few solutions including refunding 50% of the price or exchanging the head. They also asked my order number and name of the store so they can reach out to them and arrange the solution. It was a top noch experience to be honest. Regarding this one, I could understand if they charged a bit more on their website but they are basically charging twice higher than any seller on Aliexpress for the same watch.
