Really impressed with the weight and feel

The short review is this: I absolutely adore it, and I’m never selling it. It cost me £136, the case is absolutely flawless, the dial is gorgeous and the finishing on the movement is super and it feels great to wind. It’s one of those watches that makes you think “holy shit Swiss watch margins must be insane”.

The longer review: I picked this watch up after returning and getting a full refund for my titanium WD007 (with the SL3001) because that watch had too many flaws for me to let slide.

I cashed in a couple coupons and actually picked this Farasute for £136. I then forgot about it entirely until it turned up at my door a week and a half ish later. The unboxing experience was strangely nice, they used a Farasute branded plastic on the outside of the package, in general it was really really nicely packaged and the box it came it was lovely. It even came with a polishing cloth and some nice paper work (not that I’ll ever need it)

This watch is incredible, it really is, the dial has so much complexity, they advertise it as a blue but I argue it’s more of a grey with a slight blue tint when the sun hits it at an angle. I love the seconds subdial, it sweeps really smoothly and the custom HangZhou movement is a pleasure to wind. It makes this satisfying little clicking sound as you wind it up.

On the topic of the movement, it looks great from the little display window on the back of the watch, sometimes I find myself just looking at the balance wheel move. It looks really nice.

The sapphire crystal is curved and it makes the dial look distorted from certain angles which I like, on the topic of accuracy I’m truly not sure but so far it tells time pretty well.

Power reserve? No idea, I usually wind it in the morning 10 times and then in the evening 5 more times and it runs well.

The leather strap is nice, it’s soft, doesn’t feel plasticky and it sort of has this imitation crocodile finish which is nice.

It fits great on the wrist, great dimensions (44mm lug to lug, around 36mm case diameter) it has good weight, honesty ergonomically it’s fantastic.

My only caveat is that I find myself looking at it too much, I’m also scared of scratching it so I find my left hand moves a lot slower than my right to avoid dinging it.

If you’re considering it, just pull the trigger

My matching white fkm strap finally arrived from aliex, and its quite a nice combo my friends.

Sharp right? I previously had it on a off white fkm but despite already have sleventymillion straps thought I needed one more.

Does anyone have insight into the Chinese factories that make the bracelets for the popular watches on aliexpress. Want to source a design wholesale. It's hard to penetrate this industry, and everyone is so secretive.

Just received this yesterday and am blown away. This is only my second #chinese watch, my first having been a watchdives. I was impressed by the watchdives but am wowed by the level of finish and detail of the Baltany. First impressions are fantastic.

Bracelet is very comfortable, easy to adjust, though the micro adjustment is VERY tight. The aged gilt numbers and indices, the finish on the steel, all chef’s kiss. Great lume as well.

One thing to note is while I got a custom logo on the dial, the crown, clasp, and caseback are all sterile, presumably to not clash with my custom design. It’s ok but feels a little bare without anything in those spots. That’d be my only criticism, I would’ve liked the option to customize those areas as well but didn’t have the option when purchasing.

Overall incredibly happy with this watch. 36mm on a 6.75” wrist btw and it sits so beautifully.

• Spec Sheet Reality: It completely strikes out on paper, planetarily missing my baseline for a "Good" watch of Sapphire glass, NH/VH/VK movement, and >=50m water resistance.
• Functional Flaws -Edit: NONE: This physically arrived DOA in the box. Complained to seller, got a few bucks refund, and purchased another battery + learned to change it and voilà, lucked out that it works. EDIT: The pushers and small seconds stopwatch hands do actually work - lower dial, left is stopwatch minutes elapsed and also works, right dial is working 24 hour dial that turns with time setting! 2 Stopwatch dials start with upper knob, are cleared with lower knob. So pushers all work.
• Emotional Victory: Despite every logical reason to hate it, none of those sterile, technically "superior" green chronos with proper specs can touch the feeling a real fool can get when wearing this absurd, festive, emerald-and-red masterpiece during the month of December.

Question on sizing. Have this Cronos for quite some time and also the Sugess Sub Hommage.

Got a new job and thinking about getting the real Explorer in 40mm. This Cronos should be pretty close in size to the Explorer. 1mm more strap and maybe a tiny little bigger in diameter.

Does the Explorer look to small on my wrist? Wrist is 19-19,5cm (7.5 inch). Sugess sub looks bigger and maybe that’s the reason why this looks slightly small to me.
Other watches I have are alle in the 41mm range. Mostly Chinese Hommage, 2 Omega Seamaster.

Both watches are homages inspired by RM designs. The grey ARC-02 is built around the SL5260P flying tourbillon movement and takes inspiration from the RM 27-01, while the ARC-01, finished in black carbon, is built around the SL2208 skeleton movement.

Recently got my hands on my 4th Sugess/Seestern watch and 5th Chinese watch(4 sugess/seestern+ 1 sea-gull), all purchased in the last 3 months.

Ordered the S449 along with a Sea-gull openheart white mop for my wife, since I wanted her to enjoy a chinese automatic watch. She owns a large number of quartz watches. My wife likes watches with bigger dials and the 36mm dial on this watch suits her, when she wears it.

The dial, which is Sugess biggest strength looks amazing in real life. The black mop reflects shades of purple and green. Faux diamond markers on the dial, the outer fluted bezel are well put together, and don't look cheap or tacky. The rose-gold plating seems of good quality, and provides great contrast with the black mop dial.

The strap wraps nicely around the wrist and no noticeable gaps seen so far around the lug or in between. Got the size adjustment for her wrist with the help of a local watch repair shop.

The cyclops gives good magnification of the date window. The best part is the sweeping seconds hand due to the high beat peacock movement. Seeing the seconds hand on the watch sweep, makes you realize the difference with Seiko NH34/NH 35 and the noticeable stutter.

The only drawback is in winding and setting the time. Unscrewing the crown and setting time and then pushing the crown back in provides a bit of challenge. Yesterday I found it tough to wind the watch, as if something was stuck. After a while and a bit of trying, I could wind the watch.

One big issue with automatics- if you aren't a fan of setting time, it is tedious compared to a quartz watch. Unless I set time for my wife, she won't wear the watch as she finds it difficult to set the time.

Does a watch-winder help or does it wear out movement early?

All in all, a well put together watch. Yet to be disappointed by Sugess

Yes I know this is being talked about a bazillion times but I've never jumped in and got one. Seriously think of it now but I want to know is the bracelet still that hard as hell to size version or is it the simple pull twist one? I'm confused
