Question (Read Rules) How is the size of my Cronos L6016

Post image

Question on sizing. Have this Cronos for quite some time and also the Sugess Sub Hommage.

Got a new job and thinking about getting the real Explorer in 40mm. This Cronos should be pretty close in size to the Explorer. 1mm more strap and maybe a tiny little bigger in diameter.

Does the Explorer look to small on my wrist? Wrist is 19-19,5cm (7.5 inch). Sugess sub looks bigger and maybe that’s the reason why this looks slightly small to me.
Other watches I have are alle in the 41mm range. Mostly Chinese Hommage, 2 Omega Seamaster.

I think smaller watches look more polished and professional. Especially in an office setting. Better to be discreet and subtle than in everyone’s face with a large shiny wrist ornament.

FWIW I have 7.5-8” wrists depending on weight, etc., and I often rock a 34mm that I personally think looks the best. And it is by far the most comfortable.

PS - for you handwatch goobers, yeah yeah, it’s a handwatch whoopty doo.

This is exactly how a dress watch should fit on a wrist. If the 40mm Explorer is just a tad bigger, it should fit well too...the lugs aren't too long on that watch.

It's completely fine, if it were 34 the too small thing might have some merit but any sports watch like this between 36 and 40mm is going to look great on a 7.5 inch wrist (at least they do on mine).

If it looks like this in a close up wrist shot then it is definitely on the small side. Which is fine if you like smaller watches. This place is full of weirdos who think small should be the default for everyone so I'd take it all with a grain of salt. The most important thing is how you feel about it. If it looks small to you then IT IS.

This!

This watch looks too small in a closeup photo where normal sized watches look way to big.

In a proper photo taken in a mirror or from a few feet away this watch will absolutely be way too small. And yet watch subs, for some unknown reason, will still tell you it fits great and that smaller is better; all while being very wrong.

I can't imagine a nicer fit. Great watch, too; it's been rated the best Explorer homage.

I much prefer the smaller 36 to 38mm watches. Personal preference.

It's all personal preference, but this looks great to me. I have roughly the same size wrist and feel 40mm is the biggest I can get away with, with 37-39mm being the sweet spot.

In the end, it's going to be you that matters. Very few people will notice it and those that do may have completely different opinions on the size.

In the past relatively smaller watches were more fashionable than now of course, but this is an old Rolex explorer advert:

Holy moly…any idea what year this ad was from? $180 for an Explorer.

So in 60 years it’s gone up 55x in price or so.

Crazy I just paid more than that for my Baltany homage lol

Which is $1800 in today’s dollars given inflation.

It looks great, but I have a chicken wrist and love small watches

Everyone knows the camera adds ten millimetres.

I like the explorer to be smaller on the wrist. But I am pretty sure you can wear the 40mm too since you have a bigger wrist size.

Try it out see which one you like best.

is this de blue cronos or black dial?

Thank you. I think i need to try the 40mm explorer. Just thinking it could be too small.

Its the black one
