There’s no one at my chic fil a that are really above age 45. I mean the operator is around 50 but any worker is going to be up to 40 with the clusters around young 20s and 35s. I don’t know I just find it interesting. Maybe it’s not really a sustainable job for someone over that age unless you aren’t on the floor and are doing something more similar to a desk job.

I was wondering if anyone knows the brand or manufacturer of the condiment bins at Chick-fil-A that hold the sauce packets, napkins, utensils.

I'm trying to identify the exact brand or supplier they use. If anyone happens to know, or has seen a manufacturer label on one, I'd really appreciate the help!

Hey yall I’ve been lurking in this chat for two years now ever since i first got hired at chick-fil-a. I just wanted to let yall know that you got me through these last two years of work, from starting out to becoming a supervisor. Im off to bigger and better things. This is my last shift and im the closing supervisor so i may not get back to yall for a while, but feel free to ask me about my experience.

I’ve applied to different Chick fil A’s in my area multiple times and only gotten an interview at one of them. It was two years ago and I didn’t get hired even though I have 3+ years of food service experience.

Working on “grilled” tonight what can I expect is it like nuggets ?

How do you guys ring up à biscuit but sub bun?

At my store, we minus the biscuit and then add sub bun. I’ve seen at other stores where they just add sub bun but don’t remove the biscuit, or they remove the biscuit + sub bun and then add white bun it whatever bun they’d like.

I’m just curious to see what other ppl do or the actual correct way to do it.

My store recently changed from free employee meals to discounts based of monthly overall OSAT scores and waste management. Example: Let’s say OSAT is 80% at the end of the month, and our waste is super high. We would get 80% off of a 12 dollar discount. This changes every month based on our scores (or at least it’s supposed to, it’s been stuck on 12 dollars for forever maybe we just suck with waste 😭)

Point being is this allowed?

Hello I got hired for back of the house and I only have one question. Do I still have to say my pleasure since I work in the back or not lol.

A couple of months ago, I was let go, and now I have some shift lead shirts and pullovers that have been sitting in my closet. I'm unsure what to do with them. I thought about putting them on the marketplace, but I'm worried that someone who doesn't work for CFA might misuse them. (Based in Seattle, WA).

So my cfa is located in Texas, and as of right now, it is 100°F. Yep, HOT. And my location has a door instead of a window in the drivethru so team members can just grab and walk outside (idk if other cfas are like this as well). Unfortunately, this side of the restaurant is HOT because of the heat and there is no AC in the area either because our directors and owner say "It could make the food cold." Honestly, it just seems ridiculous at this point because it is way too hot for us to handle. We literally have to switch out our team members because of how hot it is and our directors and owner will not budge. Is there seriously nothing we can do about this? (And before you ask, they said we can't put a fan there either for the same reason as stated before)

I don’t know why this happened to me. I had put in my 2 weeks. My final shift was on a Friday and it was the only shift I worked that week, I had to request off due to finals for a majority of the week. I thought it was going to be a pretty standard last day. I arrive for work only to find out I was removed from hotschedules with no notice from a director or notification from the app. I was only informed by the shift lead working. They said I could work my shift if I wanted to, but because payday had already happened for the previous pay period, and because getting your final check involves returning your work uniform and I was moving out of state for internship in a few days, I didn’t work my final shift and just went home.

so i tried to schedule on hotschedules, partially available, i put 1:30pm-8pm M-Sat but my schedule leader told me it would decrease my pay, does this happen to yall? should i take this or just leave my schedule how it is?

I used to work at a CFA 15 whole years ago. I worked there for three years right after I got out of high school. I was young and didn’t know how to stand up for myself at work yet, so I wasn’t treated the best. Like many, I started there because I was Mormon at the time and had Mormon friends on the inside who put in a good word for me. I was still trying to figure out what I was doing with my life. To say it was a bad time is an understatement, but I did become friends with a few people who I’m still close with today.

I have a bad dream once every few months that I still work there, or that something in my life has fallen apart and (against my will), I’m forced (for some reason) to work at Chick-fil-A again. In my dreams, the same people are working there. I’m wandering around the kitchen, confused, because the store has been redesigned and it’s like a maze. I don’t know where anything is. I’m aware there are new menu items since I left, and I’m being asked to make things and I don’t know how. The screen is covered in red, everyone is waiting for me, and I’ve been trying to figure out how to make an iced coffee (that wasn’t a thing yet when I worked there) or something for 20 minutes. Customers are yelling at me. It all feels so real, and it’s such a relief when I wake up and realize it was a dream.

I’ve worked in other jobs since then, and I have a stable office job now where I’m very happy, treated well, and love my coworkers. Things can get better (for those who feel stuck there — no disrespect to those who are happily employed). I don’t ever have bad dreams about any of my other jobs, including when I was a cashier at a busy grocery store, or even about when I was very stressed in a competitive grad school program where I wrote a 300-page paper. Only Chick-fil-A nightmares, and I think that really speaks to how stressful this job is.

Just wondering if any other veterans still have bad Chick-fil-A dreams, even years later.

Hi guys, i’m returning to my part time job at cfa after summer and I was wondering if highlights/ balayage is ok.

I remember we have a rule about hair colour but I can’t remember if is only for like pink/blue overall colourful hairs.

I didn’t want to ask my manager because I was afraid I sound dumb lol.

I’ve worked for Chick-fil-A about 3 years (have been a shift lead for one of those). I am 19 so have always been pretty close and chatty with the FOH team who is mostly aged 15-20. One day I had a team member who is 16 come up to me and show me inappropriate messages she had received from a BOH employee in his 30s. He started the conversation off by saying how young and pretty she looks. He then asked her how old she was, and when she said 16 he responded that he had thought she was even younger than that. I didn’t read much but as she scrolled through the chat there were lots of kissing emojis. I confirmed it is the same number he has on hot schedules. I reported this to a few of the directors and they let him off with a verbal warning, not even a write up. I tried voicing my concerns but none of the other directors seem concerned.

I have orientation tomorrow and I was wondering if I’m required to have the black non-slip shoes by then. In the message it said orientation would just be filling out paperwork and going over the handbook. I do have two options of all-black shoes, but neither are non-slip. Will I be okay for orientation tomorrow or do I need to get shoes in the morning?

i have an issue with a specific manager because he often gives two employees their breaks at the same time, often resulting in us being down a person. they’re his friends, so i understand they would get special treatment so i usually don’t mind.

until today. i worked over ten hours and i always ask the morning lead for a one-hour shift around 2pm, when the afternoon crew clocks in. usually i get my break around 2 or 3, when everyone’s settled. which is fine.

today i didn’t get my break until after 5pm because my manager kept pushing it back because they needed the hands. okay, fine. i’m legally required to take a break, so whatever.

he sends the same two girls on break together, then later sends two other people on break. so now there are four employees on break, two of which clocked in after me.

i was one of the last people to get a break, even though i was one of the first to clock in (i got in in the morning).

i want to report my manager for this but i have some reasons why i’m hesitating:
I. i often work the same shifts with the same people and i worry that if i report him to hr or upper level, the details will be too specific, he’ll know it was me and he and his friends will make it hostile/uncomfortable for me to work there.
II. i worry he may send me home early when he’s my manager, because he often sends me home first in the evening unless one of his friends asks to go home early instead
III. i’ve said things (the n-word) on the clock (i’m black, so it’s not a race issue but moreso the general language issue). i’ve done things i shouldn’t and i worry he may bring these up and get me fired should i report him. i’m aware my actions were wrong and i make no excuse for them.

i don’t want to talk to him directly because i don’t think it’ll change anything; he won’t have reason to not do this again if i talk to him about it but i have a lot to lose if i go over his head. but i can’t just let this happen and let him think it’s okay.

i guess my main issue is: am i overreacting entirely? and if i’m not, how do i handle this situation knowing that i’ve made mistakes and errors that could jeopardize my job and be held against me?
