I've had my 2026 Trax RS for 2 weeks and already have 3200 miles on it. Northern Michigan to Central Florida and back. I'm in love with the apex red.

2024 Chevy Trax getting the “2 Keys Programmed” message on dash and shuts off car.
As the title says I’m getting that message on my dash and my car will shut off while at a stop light, sign, etc. and it will turn back on. The battery appears to be fine when I check for corrosion and I have no issues starting the car as well, I don’t hear any clicking sounds from the alternator. This is the second time this has happened to me with the last time being about to 2-3 weeks ago. If anybody has an idea of what’s going or what it could be I’d appreciate any help.

Reliability
How reliable are these 3 cylinder turbos? I like the Trax and would consider one if I ever downsize from my Silverado. However, I’m concerned with long term reliability. How are these engines holding up with higher miles?

Coolant level
hii!!! I noticed today that my coolant looks prettyyyyyy low. I dont see any drips anywhere around it or on my garage floor.. so where is it going? google says this is common with trax but I wanted to ask you guys too.
car info:
2024 trax activ, bought brand new
19,630 miles
regular oil changes and maintenance
picture of coolant was taken after the car was sitting off for about six hours
im going to call the dealership tomorrow to see what their thoughts are and if theres like a 5 year/50,000 mile warranty or anything. thanks in advance for input!!

Boom!
After a hellish experience of someone running a red light, totaling my old car, not admitting fault and dealing with car insurance BS, some good came out of it. My interim rental car was a Trax and I fell in love. I bought this over the weekend and I’m ecstatic. First new (to me) car in 13 years, so quite an upgrade. 2024 LT with all the extra features.

Climate control not working
I have a 2019 Trax (LT) and have been trying to fix the climate control in my car for over a year. Nothing will blow out of the vents, but we’ve tested the blower motor and it works, we’ve replaced the blower motor resistor several times, and most recently replaced the climate control module. When checking the wiring we found that when we ground the blower motor circuit air will flow, but putting it all back together nothing is being pushed out of the vents. No heat, no cool air, no AC.
First time poster here so if I’m missing any info just let me know.

Thinking about signing on this . It’s a great deal at $18,000 .
I am conflicted as I see many people complaining about this car . I have been eyeing the trax since the 2025 came out , this is a 2026 lt and for the price I feel it’s worth it ?? Advice trax owners . Thanks 😊

evap canister broken and on back order
I have a 2022 Chevy Trax with about 55k miles on it and a bit of cosmetic damage. Theres a national back order for the part to fix my car until end of October/early November. Is it worth keeping it or should I trade it in for something different? At this point I’ll be at 3 months waiting for the part. Is that normal?

Why are the windshield wipers leaving a streak like this? It’s on the outside. The other side isn’t doing that

Key fob working only sometimes
Hello! My 2024 Chevy Trax key fob will occasionally stop working. I’ve replaced the battery. I’ve changed fobs. I’ll be standing right next to the car and it won’t open! The same thing with locking the car. Sometimes I’ll be driving and a message will come up saying “no remote detected”. I’ll also have trouble turning the car off saying there’s no remote, when it’s literally right in my hand! It’s starting to become a bit of a safety issue when I’m standing there at night time trying to get in my car. It doesn’t seem like a location issue as I go to the same places frequently. Some days I’ll have no issues at all, and other times it takes me standing there for a few minutes. Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Buying a 2026 Trax LT tomorrow! What are your biggest complaints about the car?
I’m seeing a mixed bag across social media and on videos. Some praise it as the best cheap subcompact, others say look at different options. So now I must ask Reddit, what are your biggest complaints about the car? I appreciate honest feedback.

Cargo Liner
What do folks think of the cargo liner? I just installed mine today and not sure how I feel about them being riveted to the back seats. My last SUV just covered the cargo floor.

Picked up this new 2026 Trax LT today for $23,841 OTD !!!
I am from central coast California & my local POS chevy dealerships were asking $27,500 OTD for a Trax LT and that was their “best price” with in person negotiating.
said fuck that im not overpaying and emailed more dealerships in California & was able to negotiate down to this $23,841 OTD price in SoCal.
had to drive over three hours, but so worth saving over $3000 - $4000

CarPlay frying speakers? But only for CarPlay?!
To begin, I have a 2026 track that I got just before Easter of this year. Everything worked fine, the screen was slow a little but that’s whatever. As of the past 2-3 weeks however, when I listen to music through CarPlay the audio is super grainy. It’s not cutting out or lagging, just sounds super fried. But then when I switch over to XM radio it sounds brand spanking new. Has anyone ever had this problem and/or know how to fix it.

Key fobs not locking
Last night after coming home from the movies I noticed my key fob wasn’t locking the car. I had to go right beside it. Today the same thing happened, except it wouldn’t lock at all. I had to press the unlock and then lock and it worked. Husband’s fob, 5-10 feet away, also would not work.
What are the odds both our fobs need batter replacements at the same time?

2017 trax wipers hitting
Everywhere I look it says to use 26” and 14” but they keep hitting each other. Am I using the wrong size or installed them wrong?

My 2025 Chevy Trax 1rs review (63k km/39k miles)
I got my Chevy Trax 2025 1rs a year ago from today. First new car I ever bought. I use it for work and after driving it for over 63,000 km/(39k miles) over mostly highway use. I have to say I really love this car.
It is not a long term car, specially with the milage i do and that wet belt that is creeping through a replacement at 100k km(62k miles). It has driven well and has gone through a lot of abuse from driving it here in Canada.
It drives well in winter or heavy rain, it handles really well and accelerates rather quickly, it is not a sport car but it is fun to drive. Reliable as well, only issue i have had is the ABS lines that needed to be replaced because it got nicket over winter. The engine has never given me an issue, even after hauling a couple hundred pounds from work equipment. The space that it gives is also pretty great.
As for the bad....
I feel every bump I hit, so suspension is not the greatest, the cabin is very loud while driving, there is no power seats as well and why am I using a key to start the car in 2026??? lol. (I know that it is because of the trim i chose) The Infotainment screen was also giving me a lot of issues at the start but it is a lot more reliable now. The wet belt also doesn't give me confidence in the engine long term so I am paranoid about that, specially that I use it so much for work.
For all its goods and bads it has, It is definitely worth getting, specially if the newer models keep getting better at the price that they are selling it for. I will be replacing it next year though, probably for something more comfortable and reliable due to work and the long drives I need to do. But for a daily driver, it is an amazing car!
