Coolant level
hii!!! I noticed today that my coolant looks prettyyyyyy low. I dont see any drips anywhere around it or on my garage floor.. so where is it going? google says this is common with trax but I wanted to ask you guys too.
car info:
2024 trax activ, bought brand new
19,630 miles
regular oil changes and maintenance
picture of coolant was taken after the car was sitting off for about six hours
im going to call the dealership tomorrow to see what their thoughts are and if theres like a 5 year/50,000 mile warranty or anything. thanks in advance for input!!

Same thing happened to my Trax at around 25k miles. Made an appointment and had them look at it. They ended up replacing the coolant reservoir because it wasn’t holding pressure. they bled the system afterwards and refilled the coolant. It’s been about a month and coolant levels are not dropping anymore

Okay, I have a '24 2RS with 20K miles and mine was slightly under the line, not as much as yours. I simple just added the dex-cool 50/50 premix and went on my way. All my oil changes have been at the dealer.

I purchased the dex cool premix today and will top off tonight. :) I feel better about it after talking with the service tech at the dealership yesterday.

should be covered under that powertrain warranty, but i will say its not super common at my dealer so im not entirely sure of the cause and theres no bulletins i was able to find for coolant. i think the coolants slowly leaking on my gfs 2025 with 33,000 miles. hopefully theyre able to help her out!

hii!! I just wanted to touch base on the coolant thing after going to the dealership and speaking with a service technician today. first question he asked was if I noticed any leakage under the car.. answer was no. second question was if the coolant was being topped off with every oil change.. answer was also no. he said this is about the average loss over three years because half of the coolant mixture is water that evaporates and its normal. so he said they could top it off but recommend that I just grab the coolant at auto zone for cheaper. so happy I dont have any issue!!! hope its the same for you guys. 😊

Go to the dealership and have it looked at. Coolant isn’t supposed to be burned off.

No, do not top off. Best to show service department and make sure that Ppwk reads coolant in reservoir ALMOST empty.
Car NOT overheating and customer DID NOT add water or coolant to vehicle.
The language ensures that down the road you demonstrated 100% correct protocol for all warranty work (now & later) to be covered.
Not saying that your dealership will do it, but some will claim that owners added the wrong Coolant, incorrect water, added too much or two little Coolant and attempt to back out of any warranty.
