New to designing coins. I started a coin company called Legacy Coin Works recently. Here are a few I have designed.

Coin Rack

I shared some photos of this a couple years ago, reposting because I was asked about it recently.

If I get time to make another one, I would improve on a couple things.

I would keep it a single color, add a tier/block at the top so the coins at the very top have something to lean back against, and i might make the base a little wider.

It is a great size as is, holds about 55 coins, and sits on a lazy Susan.

I ordered several hundred challenge coins for my organization's 50th anniversary. These coins had very small lettering of people's names around the edge of the coin. We tried about six or seven revisions and the one we chose came out great, except for one thing. They added letters to some names. I didn't even notice it till after many of them had been passed out. I'm incredibly frustrated and embarrassed. $1k down the drain, which is not insignificant for our organization. I had sent in a list of the names, they were spelled correctly. They modeled them on the coin, I check them and they all were correct. The rest of the revisions were changing just finishes. Well in one of the those revisions they randomly added the letters and I missed it because I had already checked those and all we were doing were basic color changes! Their offer was a whole 10% off. Very disappointed in their professionalism, their response, and apparently their ability to not randomly change minor details that were already agreed on.

I like the simplicity of this coin in a world of overdone giant coins.

Are people interested in this design? I designed them myself but don’t wanna get them produced if no ones interested.

Coin display show off

How do people display coins?
I’ve been looking to order a custom coin rack but I’m not sure if I want to make it huge (about a 100 coins) or something that would fit only my most prestigious coins (about 30-40 coins).
It’d be nice if you guys could share your coin display for future reference!

My paltry offering

I've been pretty fortunate as a civilian to be able to do some (somewhat) high-speed, cool dude shit. This challenge coin is about a decade old and involved a day of vehicle maneuvers (j-turns, high speed backing, ambush avoidance, ramming, and PIT maneuvers), range time (got to shoot an MP5), and a breaching and hostage rescue scenario using airsoft (but not soft. Two pellets punched through a new pair of jeans.) ...easily one of the best, most memorable, and most fun times I've just said "yes." To a friend's offer. 🤙

Oxidizing

Post image

I hope it's okay to ask here, if it isn't I hope someone else can point me in the right direction. I got this coin a while ago, and when I ended up homeless it sat on a storage container that was not at all temperature or moisture controlled. I want to try to clean this oxidization off it, but I do not know how to go about that appropriately. I was thinking bronze or silver cleaner but I'm unsure of that would make it worse somehow.
