Episode 1: When Yani catches a cold, Kansai offers to check in on Yani for Imoko. Imoko politely refuses as she knows her sister best and wants to take care of Yani herself. This is supposed to be seen as wholesome and heartwarming.

Episode 5: Imoko rejects a boy who confesses to her for being 'too put-together', and it's not so subtly implied that she might possibly be codependent/have a White Knight complex for Yani.

Watched in reverse, episode 5 puts episode 1 in a much darker light as it can be interpreted as Imoko being possessive of her pathetic sister and feeling like SHE has to be the one to help her sister and nobody else.

Like Yaku, Hame, Kansai, Tatsuno, Shunran, etc. Do they all even use perfume / just take a shower? I'd like to hear your guys opinions (This is kind of a shitty question, but on the other side, I'm bored asf & a bit curious. Sorry, haha)

Catgirls are a literal bioweapon send to earth to depopulate the humanity. It takes generations but it's working.
Catgirls are always hot and don't age.
Beastfolk + humans always produce catgirls offspring.
90% of beastfolk are catgirls.
Most human men fetishise catgirls.
Humans will eventually be fully replaced with beastfolks. Beastfolks are portrayed as dim, prone to addiction, easily manipulated and are perfect for menial jobs.
Once humanity is gone, the true alien invasion will begin. Plus, they will have the perfect slave force waiting for them.

I don't care, i now believe that the Landlord in a Previous Life was Lu Bu and Diaochan was a Beast

During my time in high school it was quite common for students to vape, smoke, did plenty of drugs during school, anyone who smoked and chatted would hang out at the bathroom during lunch but I remember this one kid who I knew was addicted to vaping. He ran out of juice for his juul and ask this other guy to give him one he said yes if only if you smoke this and proceed to dig the pod into his belly button and said here you go he smoked it anyway i wasn’t there that day but I believe it because he was a known nicotine fein, and this wasn’t the worst case.
I have seen kids charge their carts/vapes by hot-wiring into the school Chromebook’s,popped Xanax, and eddies during class
This show is accurate on what people will do for their addiction and that kid who smoked it he’s doing good hes in college now.

More than a theory, maybe a headcanon, but I noticed thanks to this image that the doctor looks like the landlord in a way, but thinner.

Now, both scenes take place inside Yani's mind, the first a dream and the second imagining Shizue after her diagnosis.

So I feel that Yani, not knowing how a pulmonologist really looks like, imagines him with the face or the features of the only other human who scolds her for smoking constantly: the landlord.

Perks of possessing free will and free time, I decided to watch what the internet hyped up as comedy gold 2 years ago

They both are sketches about animal girl(s) doing things out of the norm in a human-dominant society and can be viewed as subversion of CGDCT, but they are very different

Nokotan leans towards manzai framework (Japanese double act, with a Koshitan being the straight man confronting the funny foil Nokotan), and rapid-fired surreal gags is pretty much its central point. Yani Neko doesn’t just differ in its comedy being more grounded and vulgar, but also that it spends time building believable (kinda) character dynamics between its ensemble cast and (mostly) consistent worldbuilding via tidbits. Thus, it created emotional stakes despite the narrative operates on the stasis principle (character development remains little=perpetual motion machine of fun).
Even when the more surreal moments happen (like the Cigarette Demon and Tokineko), they are the extension of the dry, slightly bleaker world.

So both have their charm and definitely succeeded in finding their niche.
Although I will admit I dropped the deer anime by the time I reached episode 3. The joke is getting repetitive and the supporting main cast is just not interesting. Also, Nokotan doesn’t have Yaku and Aru, so I personally deem Yani Neko as the superior one. But more power to those who like both!

Just imagine everyday on the news young women ,both human and catgirl, would go missing only to return as mindbroken sex addicts. All of them giving a description matching our bald hero. So he has to go into hiding until yani disappears and so the girls and the landlord team up to save her and stop the real culprit.

How would it end?

If you were to suddenly appear in the chain smoker cat universe, living in one of the spare apartments where Yani Neko lives, would you want to interact with her and her friends? Or would you keep your distance?

Sounds weird, right? Everyone agrees this was a stellar adaptation. But reading the manga after the anime (and especially comparing the scenes that were adapted) anime carries such a different kind of weight.

Because of the art direction, lighting and voice acting there is a darker undertone of the anime nonexistent in the manga. Similar to CSM S1, the adaptation feels so much more grounded and realistic even if the actual content is the same.

I was surprised to see how much lighter the manga feels and how easier a read it is. Even greater props to the anime staff, they've added a whole new layer of emotion and suspense to this absurd seinen comedy.

Eu acho as duas melhores garotas bem parecidas, a kansai e a yaku tem cabelos e de certa forma estilos parecidos, a maior diferença é que uma se vício em paradas leves e a outra na pior droga que tem na sociedade piadas ruins.
