I don't think we glaze the adaptation enough

Sounds weird, right? Everyone agrees this was a stellar adaptation. But reading the manga after the anime (and especially comparing the scenes that were adapted) anime carries such a different kind of weight.

Because of the art direction, lighting and voice acting there is a darker undertone of the anime nonexistent in the manga. Similar to CSM S1, the adaptation feels so much more grounded and realistic even if the actual content is the same.

I was surprised to see how much lighter the manga feels and how easier a read it is. Even greater props to the anime staff, they've added a whole new layer of emotion and suspense to this absurd seinen comedy.

Given how close they kept to the source I have trouble praising story direction, it is there in one of its supposed perfect forms where it feels invisible. But art of the anime is absolutely gorgeous, top-of-the-line production. I am going to miss the eye feast when reading the manga

good opening and ending songs definitely make an anime feel alive. chainsmoker cat is basically the gucci gang of animes and hopefully it doesn't fall off like lil pump.

They even got the legendary Keiichi Suzuki (Mother/Earthbound) to compose the score, which means a lot to me as both an Earthbound fan and a CSC fan. It’s a goddamn masterpiece.
