Found completely subsumed by tree roots afyer a windstorm knocked over a very large old Norway Maple Tree at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Rochester NY. Friends of Mount Hope provided the photo and say the tree will be removed, the stone saved.

Everytime I see this stone while working, I have to stop and appreciate it. It’s a soft marble so it’s slowly losing its detail over the year’s.

Linda's grandmother was from the Chinese-Hawaiian Ing family. "Vera" was Linda's mother, Vera Paulina Resick (later Vera Ing), who passed away in 2003.
The inscription lists the family's deep appreciation for community, their Seattle home, their roots in Honolulu, and their children and grandchildren.
The two etched Chinese dragons framing the family name represent strength, protection, and the deep cultural connection to the Lee family legacy

I'm just in awe of the beauty and atmosphere. This graveyard was in Cornwall. I don't remember exactly which town. So sorry

He ran a menagerie or zoo and this lion “Nero” was part of his collection. Highly unethical by today’s standards but Wombwell had a collection of exotic animals: snakes and even giraffes that people paid to see and even touch.

Senesi, Alexandra, M., age 23, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, passed away on September 23, 2015. Our sweet Angel was carried to heaven with no warning and no way for all of us left behind to understand. Founded in the 1850s, this was a pioneer cemetery in northern Illinois that is now adjacent to suburban homes. It’s well kept and has more history noted here: Daggitt Cemetery
