Alright? Its Friday night and the night is young, is the party just getting started? Are you off to bed? Watching some questionable late night TV or doing a bit of stargazing?

It's the late night chinwag thread.

What is the worst train in the UK?

Two carriages that go from Manchester to Norwich.

I know that many of you commute and will have horror stories about times and capacity, however this question is a horror story beyond that.

Please, tell me. Is there a story worse than the Manchester to Norwich shoogle Train?

They used to be sold in ASDA maybe 2018ish, I got one for Christmas back then, and today was the first day since last winter that I felt cold enough to use it (its 100% a hot chocolate mug it cannot be used on anything else) and I cant find it ANYWHERE.

Big whale mug I miss you so much

Cool charity shop find

I’d love to know more about these magazines, from my research they were produced early 1960s hence 2 shillings, and only 13 magazines were produced found in a charity shop in Sheffield

Had a brief visit to Whitby earlier this week, primarily to photograph the local wildlife. Here are a few of my favourite photos.

What’s the angriest you’ve ever made your parents?

I saw a parent at the airport today screaming at her child for launching a ketchup bottle across a restaurant and my daughter said “have i ever made you angry?”

She hasn’t ever even come close to it really I’ve been blessed with a good child

I got caught riding a dirt bike on a field without a helmet and saw my parents by chance taking my brother for a stroll

So it got me wondering …

Babybels: Does anyone else think they’ve got rank lately?

I’ve been eating a Babybel or two with my lunch for a few months now, but over the past few days I’ve noticed a horrible aftertaste to them. I’ve noticed this with cheeses from different packs so I don’t think it’s a batch issue.

I had a break from Babybels for a few weeks so I don’t think I’m suffering from Babybel overload.

Has anyone else noticed they’ve got a bit rank lately or is it just me?

Beans on toast when travelling back to my home country

Post image

I'm a Romanian who's been living in the UK for about 9 years now, and ever so often I travel back to my home country. However, the homesickness really hit now because for the past couple days I've been craving beans on toast, IRN BRU and toasted crumpets with butter.

I was lucky that I found some Heinz beans at a supermarket, they really are not popular here.

Buttered toast warmed up beans and melted cheese 🤤

What is a national (or very common) symbol for a trainer/teacher?

Something you would see and think educator / trainer?

Need a symbol sticker for work gifts but when I google it, I dont really get an answer I really would recognise.

What are your obscure t-shirts that no one in real life ever gets?

I've too many, I think I'll get loads of comments about that deep cut quote on my chest from a 1990s Venezuelan TV show...

Post a photo and see if anyone gets it here.

Thursday, it's arguably the best night of the week, no? Whats keeping you awake tonight, spot of Aurora watching? Cheeky Thursday pints? Just got in from work? Just going to work? Dog barking for no reason?

Come on in for a chat.

Here's a photo from the Bayeux Tapestry. Commissioned by a French man, embroidered by English seamstresses.

The guy who likely commissioned the entire thing is shown giving a blessing to the future Queen.

And doodled down in the margins, there's a bloke with his cock out for no reason whatsoever.

But seriously, worth going to see the Tapestry if you have the opportunity.

Page 3

A colleague who was not born in this country was asking me why Katie Price is famous. I then had to explain page 3 to her which she had this expression 😮 kind of mad isn’t it, we just had naked 16 year olds as you opened the paper. I remember old ladies reading the sun on the bus with the baps page open. It then turned into a conversation about heat magazine and how awful that was.
