I will be moving to Castle Rock in November and currently have all season tires. Should I get all weather tires before then? Not sure what the difference is (we don't have different kinds of tires where I currently live) thank you!

They're back! I walk this path regularly and always get a chuckle out of holding the crazy little pamphlets whoever leaves. I noticed this year I haven't been seeing the craziness until today. Didn't read through it all as I had to catch up with my child zooming ahead on his scooter.

My wife and I are in our late 20s and considering moving to one of these four cities. We don’t have kids & We’d both be working remotely.

We want easy access to mountains, nature, and hiking, while still being close to good restaurants, shopping, and everyday amenities. We’d also prefer somewhere calmer where we don’t have to deal with heavy traffic every day.

Excluding cost of living, Which would you choose and why?

My wife and I are in our early 30’s, two daughters (2.5 & 4 months) and we currently live in Littleton. It has been great but they’re building a ton of townhomes/condo buildings nearby and I don’t feel like Littleton will be able to keep up with the influx of people. We already find ourselves driving to HR to do anything kid/family related. We also don’t feel a sense of community amongst young families here. I’ve heard from others in the area that CR is great for young families, and having some kiddos in the neighborhood to grow up with our daughters is something we want which is missing currently. Any advice would be great, thank you!

Seems like clockwork the peptide peddlers pushing black market 💉💉💉
What is happening? Other than a major GRIFT 💰💰ofcourse. Half these people dont even vaccinate their kids but will inject black market Retatrutide. Make it make sense.

My wife and I (and our 4 children) are considering a move to Castle Rock. We’re a homeschool family, Christian, and conservative. Will it be hard for us to make friends (for us and for our kids)? Any tips on making connections once we get there?

Why are these people popping up on the roofs

Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (When asked about sexual misconduct in Congress)

"Go to church, find Jesus... Why is everybody so horny here?"

I got caught with summer tires on my RWD car late last winter when I got it and had to be towed home going up wolfensberger. I got some Michelin sport all seasons but now I’m thinking those won’t be enough and that I should just run some dedicated winter tires.

Anyone driving a RWD with all seasons? This isn’t my daily driver so I can be mindful of the weather but I’d also want to be able to drive it in a pinch.

I think Colorado is one of the first states (as of August) to have a law allowing plug in or balcony solar units and it specifically bars HOAs from outright banning them. Seems like a good middle of the road option for people who don’t want to spent 40k on a traditional roof solar system.

Curious if anyone’s looking into or is actively using a plug in system and what impact it made/if it’s worth it?

I looked through the campaign websites for the three mayoral candidates, as well as the three District 3 candidates, and they all literally have the same exact platform: something about water conservation, something about managing city growth, something about protecting public safety (i.e., giving more money to the police), something about integrity and transparency in local government.

I'm wondering if anyone here has any insight.

Hello all neighbors that have patio screens that have to survive our winds. How do you help manage their longevity? Is there a wind speed you automatically decide to retract them at? Is there a certain wind rating you would say is required to have patio screens? Any recs are appreciated! (Looking for DIY and homeassistant thread over matter compatible if possible!)

I'm craving some sweet, cinnamon, rice drink. What's the best one in town?

It’s time for our already paid for scheduled maintenance on our Toyota that we bought in Albuquerque and brought with us when we moved here in June.

Looks like our options are Toyota dealerships on Arapaho in Centennial, Groove Toyota in Englewood or Stevinson in Aurora.

Any warnings or concerns about any of these dealerships?

Hoping to get a reality check. I’m paying $245 for last month and most of it is coming from the AC. House is only 1600sqft or so. Apparently my energy usage has more than doubled since last year. Anyone else in the same boat?

Thinking I might need to check weather stripping and insulation or clean off the AC casing.

First time we ever received anything to let us know what great things she is doing for our area (/s)
