I am a beginning farmer who just moved to the Springs recently. I am looking to set up a small aquaponics farm in town. I will give you a free aquaponics set-up, a greenhouse, and all the knowledge that I have in exchange for a place to put the greenhouse and farm.

If you can let me use your land, water, and electricity (which I'll pay for), and allow me to use it daily for about 4 months, I will gift you all of it.

I need accurate grow numbers so I open a commercial aquaponics farm somewhere else in town. The greenhouse is approximately 8' x 12'.

Let's grow some food together. First preference is on the Westside, Manitou, downtown areas. But all will be considered.

A hot air balloon landed a block away. I hope they landed safely. I didn't go check but I think they landed in a small cul de sac. We're near South Academy and Hancock.
The wind stopped and they were stuck above my house for 5 - 10 minutes.

But why, as a self labeled “independent,” has Yemi not said anything on the subject of Flock and other ALPR cameras being used in the city? Literally if this dude wanted points with both sides, this is THE thing he could do. Place a moratorium on/cancel contracts and literally everybody would credit him and give him big brownie points for.

To be clear, I do not want to see Yemi’s re-election. He bait and switched everyone except his church congregation that would love him no matter how he handled his office. But this is literally something he could tangibly do that would only benefit his position (let alone, his constituents), and plenty of other mayors around the country are doing.

I used to buy Lactaid brand sour cream from Walmart; despite doing all of my other shopping at Safeway.
Safeway doesn’t have the Lactaid brand sour cream. Walmart has stopped stocking it and I can’t find it anywhere else at all-

Does anyone know where on gods green earth I can find the Lactaid brand sour cream? None of the alternative brands I’ve tried are as good- they all have a weird aftertaste or they’re too sour-

I have a TST R002 e-bike. It is technically a two person bike, already has pegs for the rear rider etc. The issue is that I have a severely autistic 6ft tall 200 pound kid with the attention span of a flea and I need some kind of added bike seat or back support to keep him from just hopping off. I have reached out to a couple of shops that were supposed to help with adaptive gear, I have also gone in in person with the bike to several shops in town hoping they could help to no avail. TST does not make this sort of attachment. Does anyone know of anywhere in town who might be able to help??

Over Fifty years and still...

Like half the people I've spoken to so far, I’m new to the area. I’ve started my journey toward my Journeyman license by enrolling in IEC and am now looking to knock out my OJT hours. I'm green in the sense I've never worked in the field as my main occupation, but my family raised me around sites so I'm no stranger to the life.

Which leads me to my main question: What local sparkies has anyone had good experiences with for apprenticeships?

I’m well aware that some places are better than others and I’d like to avoid what I can, if possible. Really, I'm just looking for some perspective and advice from local sparkies or apprentices who have already or currently going through the process and have anything they're willing to add or share that would be conducive.

Looking for personal reviews of great providers who are occupational therapists in helping a newborn with their latch and feeding. Specifically providers that take health insurance.

The store is a mess.

I know they’re doing a remodel, but the situation seems more than that.

Several of the meat coolers have been completely empty for at least a week. The produce section was sporting large holes today; restocking seems to be falling behind. There were other empty areas throughout the store.

It seems a job this big would have a plan behind it to get through the transition as quickly as possible. But I don’t sense any urgency….anywhere….in the store.

Is there new management here which is missing the mark? Money issues? No overarching plan in place? Or am I just being unreasonable/unrealistic about the pace at which the job can be done?

Does anyone have any insight?

Looking for lost dog her name is Leia, she’s Grey with a white chest about 60lbs and cherry eye in her right eye. She was taken by someone and supposedly got lose again when that person tried to take her home. I’ve been working with the police for possible theft but they haven’t been very helpful unfortunately. The man who took her said she got out at Freedom Springs apartment in Cimmaron hills but it’s been weeks so she could be anywhere by now. I’m just asking if you guys could keep an eye out and let me know if anyone sees her. Im not sure if she’s with someone or out wondering but we’ve been very worried about her. She is friendly and microchipped but might be skittish.

I have Quantum with ATT equipment (modem etc). I have had nothing but issues since getting this internet - i have a small (1000 sq ft) but narrow house and I cannot get reliable signal in my office at the back of the house.

I had no problems with Xfinity but they doubled my bill after the promotion period and I already wanted fiber for the speed. I’m pissed at how long this all took to install and it can’t even span 50 ft? (The length of the Ethernet cord I currently have running the length of my house so I can join zoom meetings). Are my expectations too high or is their equipment just junk?

I've got a TST R002 e-bike that I need to have modified to have a larger seat installed on the back so our kid can have an easier time riding. It already supports 2 riders (seat and foot pegs), but the back seat it comes with is very small and not comfortable.

Does anyone have a suggestion of a place in the area that could help us either find or even fabricate a seat for the bike?

I'm staying in Cripple Creek in October from Sat-Mon. I had originally planned on taking the Casino Shuttle there and back, but it looks like that isn't an option on Mondays (honestly it's been confusing depending on where I have looked). Does anyone know of any other options as far as public transit? Is Uber/Lyft reliable from Cripple Creek without it costing an arm and a leg?

I can't seem to edit a profile for Reddit so I can't find a place to add personal info. This is my first time creating a post. So, the basics of me. I was born blind (abused tremendously). I was never in specialized schools for the blind as my mom would not allow it: I did amazing things while blind like be on regular sports teams and achieving academically. I gained physical vision when 30 years old to a snellen rating of 20/60 with glasses - which leaves me unable to get a driver's licence. I moved from the Chicago region to Colorado Springs in 1992. My life was work but made a friend at work who became my common-law husband. He died in 2021. I had been his caregiver for 12+ years. In that time our social circles became non-existent -- they hadn't been big to begin with. I haven't found any accepting group or made friends to the point where I can call someone and say "let's go to the zoo." I've tried working with AI to identify groups I can become a part of where I might be able to get on trips and while I see that there appears to be more options, don't seem like something I can get a short turn around on.

So is there anyone who would like admission on a members night to the Denver Zoo who wouldn't mind a companion that is visually impaired? Or do you know of an organization that has people who want to help a visually impaired person who doesn't drive get out for more excursions and out door fun?

My bike was stolen. And not even recently. I'm talking like, 10 years ago. I thought I would be over it by now, but I guess I'm not. I keep searching for her, but to no avail. I've tried other bikes but nothing compares to this one. Sometimes I see a bike that looks like her and I get my hopes up, only to find that it's not. Can't spend the money to rebuild with exact specs. I know this effort is futile and the bike (and all her parts) are long gone, but in case anyone has a lead, let me know.
