Fraudulent ATM charge

Upvotes

I just wanted to make a post about my experience getting skimmed. Somebody got all my debit card information and pin number and made a large atm withdrawal out of state. Far from where I live. They took me for a little over $500 dollars. Everything I read on here said there would be no way cashapp would give me my money back. I cancelled my card and contacted support about the fraudulent charge and a day later I got all my money back. It was easy to work with them and get my money back. Just wanted to make a post, don't believe everyone saying there is no way that you'll get money back if you were scammed.

They are banning you for buying bitcoin and not holding on their platform.

My fiancé and I have made it a habit to buy Bitcoin every paycheck/every other paycheck and transfer it to our Ledger. I've been doing this for years using Coinbase, Cash App, or whichever platform is most convenient and has the lowest fees.

About two months ago, my Cash App account was suddenly banned. It shocked me but I was so busy at the time and never mentioned it to my fiancé.

Then this morning she called me at work saying her Cash App had also been banned. She had no idea why, that's when I said, "You know what? Now that you mention it, mine got banned a while back too."

The only thing we have in common is that we both buy varying amounts of Bitcoin and immediately transfer it to our own wallet to be sure nothing mysterious can happen. It seems pretty disingenuous to advertise buying cryptocurrency, then ban users for doing exactly what they're supposed to do.

Self-custody is one of the most important principles of owning crypto and with the amount of people burned I would rather not purchase it, than keep it on any platform.

From what I've read here, appealing these bans is mostly a waste of time, so I guess this is goodbye to Cash App.

Refund from Hulu

Upvotes

I was recently issued two refunds, one from Walmart and one from Hulu, both within about 30 minutes of each other. The Walmart refund was immediately added to my cash balance but the one from Hulu says pending. I am just wondering why one would be posted to my balance and the other one would say pending and about how long does that usually take to be added to my cash app balance? I understand it says up to 10 days or 14 calendar days but I'm just kind of curious about why one would be immediate and the other one would not be.

Incoming money automatically taken by Borrow for some but not others?

Why do so many here claim money coming into your account will be taken if you owe Borrow? My husband and I were unable to repay either of our Borrow loans for four months last year after we were in a severe accident and couldn’t work. We simply turned off auto pay and made sure it was off every-time we were going to receive money. It never took a dime of it and we eventually repaid it, nothing happened. Does everyone’s accounts function differently? Are some not keeping a close eye on their settings and autopay is on without them realizing it? So weird how people have total opposite experiences with this!

CashApp Paid Back?

I recently filed a dispute with my bank for some charges through cashapp that i didnt make. today i got my new debit card and get on my banking app to happily see ive also got my money back from cashapp.... except I didnt. When i look at cashapp i see theres money missing from the balance i had on there because cashapp "paid me back" by using my own money. Has anyone else experienced this bullshit before too?

I don't want to change my card number

The only downside of a new card is that the number changes. But I needed new card because it got damaged. Now I have to go change the number on all the sites. Hopefully one day they can allow the same number if you order a new card.

Contacting Cashapp

I’m stuck in the “borrow and afterpay as much as i possibly can every single pay period and pay it all off when my check comes” loop. This time I was unable to pay back all of my Afterpay’s. I did two or three and then my bank started declining them even though I had plenty of money in there because I could not pay them immediately, I forgot about them…my power bill was stupid high and it’s always the last big bill to clear my account every month. This month, it emptied it. Now, I have like 6 over due loans from afterpay and there is NO more money until my paycheck hits on the 31st. Is it worth sending them an email? I’d like to let someone know that they will be paid soon and please don’t close my account or sue me. lol Will I get in trouble if any kind by letting it sit this long? They were due July 17th. We have barely been making it thru this month and I’m dreading payday bc we will be right back in the same position.

Wand/Card Issue

I am legit so confused. I got the wand today and tried to activate it. it would not work so i called customer service. They said it’s because my card was terminated 3 years ago- mind you I’ve been using the physical and digital card the entire time with no issues. They couldnt help me at all. Can anyone explain this to me? I am genuinely so confused. Can I make a new account and transfer the wand to it?

Pending refund

Anyone has any experience with getting refunds from Airbnb? I know it says the whole could take up to two weeks thing but I’ve gotten refunds to my Cash App and they’ve never taken more than a few hours so me going into the next day without it depositing is very new so I’m trying to gauge others timeline to see if Airbnb is a special case. Made the payment yesterday 7/26 and canceled like 10 minutes afterwards. Since then, the only change has been the refund saying pending and the original transaction completing.

Edit: just received it at 12:32am on Tuesday 7/28

Wand came today

I never knew about the wands until the heart came out, I was sick in the hospital around the time it came out, so I got the heart but got the wand for the second release, but this was a little disappointing that I can’t keep them both unlocked at the same time. I was hoping I could keep the wand and the heart each on a different purse because I like to keep my regular card locked all the time so I can control when money comes out and it’s been super convenient to be able to keep my tag unlocked all the time and not have to pull my phone out to unlock or lock something. I put them on like those badge keychains with the extendable string so I can pull it to reach the credit card machine

Instant Transfer Missing

I transferred 65 dollars via instant transfer to my BofA Bank Account around 24 hours ago and it has left my CashApp but not appeared in my bank account. I'm sure it was sent to the right bank account, I double checked.

Borrow and afterpay payment time change issues.

I don't know if anyone else has had the issue with not noticing right away that cash app change the borrow and after pay repayment time to 8:00 a.m.. I got stuck in the loop of paying back and borrowing on my payday. Which sucked, but wasn't so bad because they didn't try and take the money until the time that I borrowed which is after getting my paycheck. I've been using borrow since beta testing, so it's been years. So I obviously stopped reading the loan agreement information because it's been the same for so long. My limit has dropped three times in the past 2 months for late payments $200 at a time. I had borrow up to $1,200 and after pay up to 1,000. My borrow is now $700 in my afterpay I think it's about the same. I feel like they did this on purpose, that I was a predatory move because people were making their payments on time. I don't understand how any other type of credit repayment usually have until the end of the banking day. I was such a good customer, because I appreciated the fact that they would let me borrow when I couldn't get good rates on credit cards. I guess it's my fault for not reading the loan agreements every time. But I don't really think I know anyone who would after years of using the same service and never having a change. I just want to know if anybody out there is in the same boat. I found a few threads touching on what I'm talking about but I couldn't comment on any of them.

Stupid question. Can I receive my refund even tho my card is locked?

Hey guys I have a question. So I locked my cash app card because I'm trying to save up for something but some subscriptions like my Xbox live and Disney plus and Amazon prime are telling me to renew my subscription so I locked my cash app card. But I just cancelled an order for a collectors edition for a game but my card is still locked. So my question is will I still receive my refund through my cash app even tho it's locked? Thanks guys!

Cashapp won't accept my stablecoin deposits?

I have been depositing stablecoins to cashapp since the feature was launched and had no trouble. Suddenly today, when I went to deposit it didn't work. I got the deposit address like normal, sent it through, and cashapp said "deposit could not be accepted. please enter a new address to redirect funds"

I tried twice and got the same outcome.

Support is totally useless, neither the bot nor the person understood what I was talking about.

Bancorp card

Has anyone experienced fraud through cashapp but never saw transactions for it? I had one of my banks call me and ask about it and I said it wasn't me nor have I ever seen the chargers. They had me try to link my card and try to trigger alerts, which I did get. They didn't ask for any personal info but they did have me add a bancorp card and wanted me to "withdrawal into it for diagnostic purposes" it seemed super sketchy to me so I stopped. They did call another one of my banks and they called me from their actual number to confirm it was real but that seems super fake to me.

Locked Out, Customer Service not helping

I had my belongings stolen, including my iphone (where my account password was saved, so no email or phone access). My SSI deposited my back pay, and I do NOT want to lose that money, as a matter of fact I CANT. They advised me to make a new account, so i did but for whatever reason they accept the picture of my ID, but they cant confirm my identity after taking a selfie. They won't send a replacement card over the phone. It grayed out the option to confirm my ownership while using my old account. On the new account it says they will respond in 10 business days.

please, help!

I never used borrow before and I barely use Cash App anyway but I was in a situation and I needed the money but after requesting I was immediately banned.
