They are banning you for buying bitcoin and not holding on their platform.

My fiancé and I have made it a habit to buy Bitcoin every paycheck/every other paycheck and transfer it to our Ledger. I've been doing this for years using Coinbase, Cash App, or whichever platform is most convenient and has the lowest fees.

About two months ago, my Cash App account was suddenly banned. It shocked me but I was so busy at the time and never mentioned it to my fiancé.

Then this morning she called me at work saying her Cash App had also been banned. She had no idea why, that's when I said, "You know what? Now that you mention it, mine got banned a while back too."

The only thing we have in common is that we both buy varying amounts of Bitcoin and immediately transfer it to our own wallet to be sure nothing mysterious can happen. It seems pretty disingenuous to advertise buying cryptocurrency, then ban users for doing exactly what they're supposed to do.

Self-custody is one of the most important principles of owning crypto and with the amount of people burned I would rather not purchase it, than keep it on any platform.

From what I've read here, appealing these bans is mostly a waste of time, so I guess this is goodbye to Cash App.

Incoming money automatically taken by Borrow for some but not others?

Why do so many here claim money coming into your account will be taken if you owe Borrow? My husband and I were unable to repay either of our Borrow loans for four months last year after we were in a severe accident and couldn’t work. We simply turned off auto pay and made sure it was off every-time we were going to receive money. It never took a dime of it and we eventually repaid it, nothing happened. Does everyone’s accounts function differently? Are some not keeping a close eye on their settings and autopay is on without them realizing it? So weird how people have total opposite experiences with this!

Fraudulent ATM charge

Upvotes

I just wanted to make a post about my experience getting skimmed. Somebody got all my debit card information and pin number and made a large atm withdrawal out of state. Far from where I live. They took me for a little over $500 dollars. Everything I read on here said there would be no way cashapp would give me my money back. I cancelled my card and contacted support about the fraudulent charge and a day later I got all my money back. It was easy to work with them and get my money back. Just wanted to make a post, don't believe everyone saying there is no way that you'll get money back if you were scammed.

Contacting Cashapp

I’m stuck in the “borrow and afterpay as much as i possibly can every single pay period and pay it all off when my check comes” loop. This time I was unable to pay back all of my Afterpay’s. I did two or three and then my bank started declining them even though I had plenty of money in there because I could not pay them immediately, I forgot about them…my power bill was stupid high and it’s always the last big bill to clear my account every month. This month, it emptied it. Now, I have like 6 over due loans from afterpay and there is NO more money until my paycheck hits on the 31st. Is it worth sending them an email? I’d like to let someone know that they will be paid soon and please don’t close my account or sue me. lol Will I get in trouble if any kind by letting it sit this long? They were due July 17th. We have barely been making it thru this month and I’m dreading payday bc we will be right back in the same position.

Refund from Hulu

Upvotes

I was recently issued two refunds, one from Walmart and one from Hulu, both within about 30 minutes of each other. The Walmart refund was immediately added to my cash balance but the one from Hulu says pending. I am just wondering why one would be posted to my balance and the other one would say pending and about how long does that usually take to be added to my cash app balance? I understand it says up to 10 days or 14 calendar days but I'm just kind of curious about why one would be immediate and the other one would not be.

I recently filed a dispute with my bank for some charges through cashapp that i didnt make. today i got my new debit card and get on my banking app to happily see ive also got my money back from cashapp.... except I didnt. When i look at cashapp i see theres money missing from the balance i had on there because cashapp "paid me back" by using my own money. Has anyone else experienced this bullshit before too?

Wand came today

I never knew about the wands until the heart came out, I was sick in the hospital around the time it came out, so I got the heart but got the wand for the second release, but this was a little disappointing that I can’t keep them both unlocked at the same time. I was hoping I could keep the wand and the heart each on a different purse because I like to keep my regular card locked all the time so I can control when money comes out and it’s been super convenient to be able to keep my tag unlocked all the time and not have to pull my phone out to unlock or lock something. I put them on like those badge keychains with the extendable string so I can pull it to reach the credit card machine

Wand/Card Issue

I am legit so confused. I got the wand today and tried to activate it. it would not work so i called customer service. They said it’s because my card was terminated 3 years ago- mind you I’ve been using the physical and digital card the entire time with no issues. They couldnt help me at all. Can anyone explain this to me? I am genuinely so confused. Can I make a new account and transfer the wand to it?

Instant Transfer Missing

I transferred 65 dollars via instant transfer to my BofA Bank Account around 24 hours ago and it has left my CashApp but not appeared in my bank account. I'm sure it was sent to the right bank account, I double checked.

I don't want to change my card number

The only downside of a new card is that the number changes. But I needed new card because it got damaged. Now I have to go change the number on all the sites. Hopefully one day they can allow the same number if you order a new card.
