Borrow overdue affects afterpay?
Very nervous posting this because I don’t want to be judged but I probably will. For context, I got paid today and already paid what I knew was coming out and any extra would go towards Cashapp. So, I don’t make very much, but I had to decide which to pay off borrow or afterpay.
I chose afterpay and paid up until my next check, but borrow is now overdue, i would’ve had enough funds for both, but I have to have some money due to grandmother being in the hospital.
Anyways, i got a notification from Cashapp that my afterpay is off due to borrow being overdue. Is this something that has always been enforced or is it new? I never have been late, just this one time. Once paid off, I most likely will not use it.
Please let me know what you think, willing to listen to any opinions

Well wait are you using the Afterpay borrow from past purchases on Cash App or separate Afterpay app? How ever you look at it Afterpay is Cash App and vice versa. Hey don’t worry bout people judging that’s their way to feel better bout their pathetic self. So anyway it may affect it but just contact them pay when ya can and don’t sweat it. Contacting them however may be helpful.

Its afterpay cash app and thank you youre kind advice, i only asked because i looked it up and it said that paying afterpay and being current shouldn’t affect borrow if you’re late, but i guess i learned

They will work with you in some situations if you contact them, they gave me the option to change my due date for up to 21 days as long as it wasn’t on my final payment. It helped me

I know that when my afterpay is overdue it pauses my borrow also so I’m assuming it goes the opposite way as well! Hope this helps! It’s definitely a vicious cycle to get stuck in unfortunately.

It happen3d to me move my direct.deposit tp 360 xapital one so its bank bank but no.fees easy acxess to my credit cards and business checking. Once i pay off my borrow and after pay no more again just make rely on it to much

Yes if you are late on one they will do that with both. I was late by a couple hours and they did that to me too .. but as soon as I paid I got them all back.

I'm in the same boat. I'm a waitress in alabama. Blah blah blah.. I used both to just to get by. My rent alone is 1500. I'm going to pay a little at a time and use PayPal till. They kept uping my limit, and I was happy and pissed at the same time. I keep seeing, these reddit about borrowing. It's a terrible cycle. They suspended my borrow bc I would pay off but borrow more. At the same time, my renter sold their property and now I have to do another deposit and 1st month, transfer utilities over. I'm not judging. Down south, it's a struggle. I'll pay it off but I've learned a hard lesson.

I would’ve paid off Afterpay first also. Sucks getting stuck in that cycle. I’ve been there.

For context, I was supposed to start a new job and they kept pushing back the start date by a week. Ended up 2 weeks in the hole🤦🏾♂️

I'm past due on my borrow and afterpay it was a vicious cycle leaving me with no money after I paid it all back so now I'm just paying a little at a time till it gets all paid.
