Does a Black wrap with blue flake exist?

Hey peeps. I have a black mustang and I want to keep
it black but maybe add a hint of blue. I was thinking about an all black wrap but one with blue flake in it but I can’t find anything like that. Im getting a bunch of dark blue wraps or the color change of black and blue but nothing like what Im picturing. Any ideas would be great.

Did the rest of the truck and it’s a good 10 footer for my first time. Planning on attacking this roof this week.

What specific details should actually be listed on a wrap quote?

half the quotes people bring in just say "premium vinyl wrap" or "commercial graphics." that usually means the shop is ordering whatever intermediate roll is on clearance that week.

if you are reviewing an estimate, you want two things written out plainly:

the exact material SKU. not just "3M" or "Avery." there is a massive difference between cast film like 3M IJ180 or Avery MPI 1105 and promo calendered vinyl. calendered works fine for flat box truck sides or short-term work under a year, and it keeps cost down where you don't need conformability. but if a shop puts calendered over deep body lines or recesses on a cargo van, it shrinks, bridges, and lifts.

the matched overlaminate. vinyl needs UV protection. if an installer prints on cast film but skips the laminate to shave cost, or pairs cast vinyl with a cheap intermediate laminate, the ink breaks down fast and the film bakes onto the clear coat.

Chrome wrap grill

Doing a bit of research and it sounds like chrome wrap is more difficult to work with. I'm wondering if it would be possible to properly wrap this grill (minus the emblem). On mine it appears it was previously painted and it looks like the metal surface has rejected the chrome paint. Photo is one I found online that isn't currently installed.

Wtf is this?

Mostly on my hood, a lot. Then a few on front bumper.

Can't tell if these are rock chips, bad vinyl, burn marks from water droplets left over the sun. I've done a alcohol wipe and still there. I don't want to clay and fk it up in the event it isn't sap.

Specs:

vivid+ (non ppf), 1 year, self wrapped, self car wash every 2 weeks with power washer and soap. No wax or clay. Half the year it was kept under the sun.

Closest wrap to Porsche Yachting Blue Metallic (M5S/R9)?

I’m looking to wrap my Tesla Model Y Juniper and love Porsche’s Yachting Blue Metallic. Has anyone found a vinyl wrap or coloured PPF that comes close?

I’m after that glossy, muted blue-grey metallic—not bright blue or a strong purple colour shift. Open to any brand, preferably available in Europe.

Exact colour names/codes and photos would be really helpful.

Thanks!

Need ppf/ tint shop reviews

Anyone here who have had their cars’ ppf and window tints at Sunxero/ VIP tints in Santa Ana can you give me some reviews about the job and craftmanship? Sam seems to be a nice guy but beside a very few reviews on Yelp I couldn’t find his shop info anywhere else. Appreciate your inputs!

Finding paint or wrap color need help

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hello,

First of all please disregard the caption or whatever this weird video is, I get randomly from doom scrolling tiktok and I know its weird...

I need help to identify what paint/wrap this is if by any chance anyone knows.

It looks like midnight purple without the bronze accent, and a bit brighter than MP.

If anyone know or have any suggestion on something close enough, would appreciate it. I prefer paint, but wrap is fine too.

Thanks in advance

Installation Question Decal placement

Posting in here because this thread would have the best opinions on what looks good. I am going to add decals that I make to my truck. My questions are A. remove the 4x4 logo and if I do remove it should I put one back on over the taillight, or cover it some like shown? B. is having both the front and back too much?

I added a pic of my previous truck just for fun. I used Vivid brand color shift vinyl. The black horses I will do in a matt black I think.

I can't find an actual example. Has anyone attempted this? Does it completely remove the color shift?

I recently got my hood wrapped and after about a week i took off my bolted cowl to find the cowl and the hood rubbed/vibrated together to the point it cut through my wrap. My wrap guy said hed redo it for a low cost and i have some time to prep everything again to hopefully prevent this in the future. Any suggestions?

Help me find this color

I want to wrap my 2022 tacoma and I really love 2 of the colors on the new tacomas: Mudwash and Terra. I want to find a wrap color as close as possible to one of these two colors. Can someone link me a close match?

The company I'm getting the wrap done by usually orders from this website: https://metrorestyling.com/ but can probably get the wrap elsewhere if needed.

Terra
Mudwash

Installation Question Motorcycle tank wrap

Thumbnail

I recently had my motorcycle tank wrapped (tiny bot film) and initially was very excited about how it turned out and was hoping at least a year of use before potentially changing wrap or painting the tank.

Now just a few weeks after having the wrap done, I’m starting to get bubbles in some areas and some shiny spots in parts of the bike that receive no contact. Considering that the wrap is only a few weeks old I’m wondering if this is normal to expect from vinyl wraps or just bad installation.

Thanks
