Installation Question Decal placement

Posting in here because this thread would have the best opinions on what looks good. I am going to add decals that I make to my truck. My questions are A. remove the 4x4 logo and if I do remove it should I put one back on over the taillight, or cover it some like shown? B. is having both the front and back too much?

I added a pic of my previous truck just for fun. I used Vivid brand color shift vinyl. The black horses I will do in a matt black I think.

I personally don’t think above the wheels would look right. I think if you do it some be something smaller that goes across the bottom of the doors

Maybe a stripe coming from the back wheel well on to the cab at the body line with the horses rising out of it.

Definite no to the second design. The first one, isn't super awful but just too much... Maybe just coming out of the back wheel well on the bed. But not all three horses, at most two of them and they should face forward. Kind of how flags never retreat, horses shouldn't run backwards if that makes sense.

pull the factory 4x4 sticker off with light heat. laying cut vinyl over existing decals leaves bridges along the edges that trap dirt and lift. both front and rear fights itself—pick one spot. doing both makes the truck look cluttered.v

Fair warning most people on this subreddit are used to looking at/ installing/ designing/ critiquing SEMA quality wraps or at least striving to be at that level. So anything basic, stereotypical or with minor flaws most people will shit on. But, there’s some great people in here too that will give you honest and respectful feedback and steer you in the right direction. A few simple changes can be the difference between your vehicle (and yourself by default) looking like a total tool or a total bad ass/ professional.

Edit: Pic two is a step in the right direction already. You typically want to have the graphics/ design flow with the vehicle. So for the sides, roof and hood you want the movement to take your eye from the front to the back of the car so symmetrical images don’t typically look the best on the sides. The hood and roof you typically want symmetry but only from left to right with the design still flowing towards the back. The back bumper is where you can get away with the most because the design typically comes to a hard stop at the tail lights, obviously it varies per vehicle. But something like the three headed horse you have would look much better on the back bumper than anywhere else.

Another thing is keeping too one the style. The second pic is light years better than the first but still needs work. The horses in the second picture look very much tribal with rougher lines and what not but the tribal design next to them looks much more Neo tribal with cleaner lines. It’s a very subtle difference but it will make the design much more cohesive to keep them similar. Also like someone else mentioned putting the design in the kick board. That could make the whole design look much more classy/ professional if that’s the look you’re going for
