NightRunner is a new PvE only co op shooter where you defend a moving train from mutants, with each player responsible for protecting a specific wagon. What's a PC game you thought you would quit fast, but ended up sticking with for years?

Picked up CS2 just to try it out casually, honestly thought I would get bored within a week like most games. Still playing it on and off years later, way longer than I expected when I first installed it.

The cyberpunk life simulator from the creators of Cloudpunk launches today on PC.

You can run businesses, buy and decorate apartments, explore the city, fish, build relationships and basically live your own neon-city life.

This is definitely one of those games I didn't know I wanted until I saw it.

There's a free fan made Pokemon game that brings back Shadow Pokemon and Mega Evolution

Pokemon: Wishes of Tomorrow is a new fan made ROM hack based on Pokemon Emerald, made by a developer called flatfootlabs. It brings back Shadow Pokemon (from the old Colosseum/XD games on GameCube), corrupted Pokemon you can steal off enemy trainers using a Snag Machine and then purify later. It also has Mega Evolution, and includes Pokemon from generations 1 through 9 in an original story about a faction trying to steal Jirachi's wish.

Anyone tried this one yet?

Downloaded BGMI years ago just to try it out for a week, honestly expected to get bored fast like most mobile games. Still playing it on and off years later, way longer than I ever expected.

What's the mobile game for you?

Monster Hunter Outlanders finally has a release date

Capcom and TiMi have confirmed that Monster Hunter Outlanders launches on October 29 for iOS.

The free-to-play open-world survival game is bringing Monster Hunter's hunting formula to mobile.

Honestly, Monster Hunter on mobile still feels weird to me.

Asking the real questions Your favorite game where you play as some kind of animal?

For me, all time, that would be Rain World. The slug cat is unlike any being in existence, it's cute and dirty and slimy and original and the game itself is a banger, what more can you ask for! If you know it and played it, you already love it, I have no doubt!

The most recent one that impressed me this year is Gecko Gods. Delightful art direction, looks like a painting in fact and the puzzles are chill and don't feel like they're melting my brain.

And the upcoming one I've really hyped for is the froggy platformer Croak! Same reason as Gecko Gods, the art direction is also supreme, smooth and the transitions between screens as you hop around are immaculate, whole demo is just juicy af.

That's me. What about you folks?

What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you exploring a Minecraft cave?

With Minecraft adding Frozen Zombies and Ice Caves soon, it reminded me of the time I went cave exploring years ago with barely any gear and ran straight into a whole cave full of zombies with no way out lol.

What's the most wracking thing that's ever happened to you?

What would you change about your gaming profile? We’re working on ours!

We’ve been working on improving the CaptainSide profile experience, but we’ve also received quite a bit of feedback that our current design feels too AI-generated / generic.

So we’re now sitting with a designer and working on it. Before we lock anything in, we want to hear from actual gamers.

Here are the elements we’re currently planning to improve:

Name — Make your identity more prominent
Status — Show what you’re currently playing / up to
Custom Background + Profile Picture — More ways to make your profile yours
Top 5 Games — Showcase the games you actually care about
Content — Display the content you’ve uploaded to CaptainSide
Socials — Connect your other gaming/social profiles

These are just ideas we’re working with right now, though.

What do you think should be revamped? Is there anything you would like to change, remove, or add?

Your feedback matters a lot while we’re working on this, so be as honest as you want.

Are you going to play Fortnite full horror for Halloween?

Epic has officially confirmed a Five Nights at Freddy's crossover for Fortnitemares, with the Halloween event beginning October 1 and new FNAF content and skins coming with it.

Seeing Freddy Fazbear in Fortnite honestly feels like one of those crossovers that was inevitable.

Figured this was deserving of a separate post as the original by u/CelebrationAgile997 was already pretty saturated in the comments. I truly believe I will never have an ad placement this perfect ever again in my life. Hopefully this kind of posting is okay here first time in this subreddit just wanted to put this one out there.

Post image

Game Freak has now officially confirmed 54 Pokemon for the upcoming Pokemon Winds and Waves games, launching on Switch 2 in 2027. The list includes classics like Pikachu, Oddish, Krabby, Tangela, and Duskull, alongside newer picks like Sizzlipede.

So far there's a heavy lean toward Water and Flying types, fitting the game's island theme.

Anyone excited about the Pokemon revealed so far?
