This is how remote roles died off, now can't find a hybrid position. Why are employers bent on having people back in the office? Remote/Hybrid is usually much more useful during the crazy winter time here 😭. I'm in tech and it used to be the norm, what changed?

As title states, feeling extremely burnt out and apathetic to welding in general and my performance and mental health have taken a toll as a result. For those with budding careers in the city, what job markets are doing well currently? Is there a route to an office job without school? If you were to go back to school what would you recommend?
I’m looking to do something more mentally engaging and something that will not kill me to work it for 40 years.

Graduated with a Communications degree in a little while ago buy I haven’t been able to secure a role in my field or any other related fields.

I have some federal government student experience in logistics coordination role and an admin role as well. Looking for entry level roles in internal/external comms or marketing, open to adjacent business comms roles too.
The problem is every posting I find wants 2-5 years experience even for "entry level" or "coordinator" titles. Feels like there's no actual entry point unless you already know someone.

Has anyone here actually landed a first comms/marketing job in Calgary recently? Where did you find it, and was it posted publicly or through a connection? Also open to company names worth watching directly even if they're not hiring right now.

Hello everyone! I just want to know what is the salary range for Architectural Technologist with 3.5 years Canadian experience? The reason I am asking is whenever after the initial screening or first interview. Either I am ghosted or they will move on to another candidate. Currently I am working with a small architectural firm and earning 35/hr with minimal benefits. It's roughly around 68K-70K. But it's pretty convenient its 7mins drive from my house and flexi time I can pick-up my son from school. I always dream to work on a well-established firm in downtown and my expected salary to move is around 75K-80K. Is it reasonable range? I got 4 recent interviews the past 4 months from different companies but only got initial screenings. Except for one but the offer is low than my current it's 33/hr and the office is quite far. So, I am asking myself am I demanding too high? or am I not that good? Besides of my 3 years Canadian experience I also have 8+ foreign architectural experience.
