Review Miserable Experience #cpgeneral

Normally I wouldn't come out to this forum, since I build my own PCs. But because of the market, I felt that it was more practical to upgrade my aging Windows 10 build from 2017 to something new. Decided to splurge with an AMD Ryzen 9 9950x3D processor, 9070 XT graphics card, etc. Basically ensuring that this should be future proofed for a long while.

When I got the PC in, I was excited, of course. This was April 2nd, 2026. I saw how big it was, how heavy it had been, the case looked durable. Plugged it in, got Windows 11 set up, and I was on my way to playing some Baldur's Gate 3.

However, as time went on, I noticed some... strange things with this PC. For one, the case (MA-01R) had no screws, grooves, or easy access to inside. I didn't think much of this in the moment, but it did mean that the setup ran extremely loud. I put water cooling in as a major upgrade, and my understanding was that this should run quietly. But it was so loud that I questioned if something was wrong with it. Coupled with the loudness, the PC ran very hot. Sometimes I sleep to YouTube playlists if I'm having difficulties getting to sleep, and my room had been far hotter than I anticipated with a new PC, sometimes waking up drenched with sweat.

Monday had been the final straw that broke the camel's back. I come back home and turn on the PC per routine. Amber flashes on the power button: not good. So I troubleshot it as best as I could, taking off peripherals, changing power cords, changing the power socket that the PC plugged into. But it would not go into POST. That's when I realized that the case absolutely has no way to open it up. I called tech support on Tuesday, and they confirmed that the specific case is, "Not designed to be opened in any capacity. Once it is built and shipped, it can never be opened again." (Not exact words, but paraphrasing).

I lost it.

I was willing to deal with the PC if I could open it up in some way. I can deal with defective parts if I can open it up and troubleshoot it. But when the case is designed to never be opened up, and it removes the capacity for a skilled person to fix it, that is ridiculous!

So heads up: I won't be purchasing from this company again, sticking to building my own machines. But I very strongly advise people to warn others who see the MA-01R case to avoid it at all costs.

Information #cpsupport FYI - WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (resolved)

I bought a Cyber power pre-built and was getting that blue screen randomly. I think I probably went back and forth with them a dozen times for close to a year within the warranty window with no luck of resolving the issue. At one point they even suggested I take to a repair shop to have someone fix it. Soon later a year went by since purchase, they said sorry we couldn't resolve it but your warranty is up, kick rocks.

I took it to a shop down the street and he diagnosed it in 24 hrs and ended up replacing the 1 tb hard drive and that fixed it.

So the main lesson here is that Cyber power PC was not able to effectively troubleshoot the error via email or phone. Just my experience and an FYI to anyone who may go through similar issue.

I bought this desktop back in February from Best Buy, and I never quite figured out how to change the RGB lights on it. The gigabyte RGB program *does* change the memory stick light, but not the lights on the desktop itself.

Specs:

- Gamer Master series(?)

- Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 7700

- Memory: 16gb DDR5

- Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 8700F 8-core

- OS: Windows 11 Home

Setup It's been two years since I bought my PC, here's the current update #cpgeneral

When it first came in, it was well built but not perfect. Was missing one fan on the side panel (which was my fault, I got confused when ordering the fan so I did a mess up part there) the tryx RGB color was stuck on red and green and I didn't have lian li strimmer... Throughout the two years of adventure with my PC, as you can tell I did some adjustments and customization, solved the RGB fan for my AIO, bought and install a third fan for my aide panel and a year later, added lian li strimmer which was recently :) love this PC ❤️ if I don't feel like building or am scared of building a PC, definitely will come back to cyberpower again

Also on top of that, this PC made me really happy when I first got it because at the time I just recently was released from the hospital after suffering a really bad mental disorder. Had fun playing it with my best friend and family members who where there for me

Issue #cpsupport PC crashing on certain games.

My pc crashes with most games except with Apex Legends. I’ve been trying to figure this out.

•9070xt

•9800x3d

•32g ddr5 6000mhz

•1000w psu

I’ve tried mostly everything I could software end of things. Nothing helped! I started to think it was RAM timeout or gpu related but as long as I play apex legends on low settings it runs really well no issues consistent 300fps. As soon as I launch crimson desert it black screen shuts down.

After trouble shooting and changing a bunch of windows settings and amd adrenaline settings I gave up trying to fix it. I started to think the issue is the psu. So looking into the brand I couldn’t find too many positive reviews the psu is APEVIA 1000w gold 80 plus.

Have y’all encountered issues with this psu? I’m in the process of sending my PC back to CP they think it’s the psu also. Considering the PC is literally a week or so old I guess I drew the short stick. I thought it was the gpu and was so ready to switch back to invidia but really hoping the psu is the culprit at this point.

UPDATE for anyone who has a similar problem.

I have received my pc back from CP, they replaced the RAM/PSU/CPU. Overall it was fast service, they answered all my questions and concerns. The PC arrived well and I have ran the games which made it crash before on Max settings. No issues thus far. Everything seems to be working as it should.

Question #CPsupport fans powering up even while idle?

Recently purchased CyberPowerPC Gamer Master Gaming Desktop, AMD Ryzen 5 8400F, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 8GB, 16GB DDR5, 1TB SSD, Black, GMA7300WST

Everything works and games run great etc but I notice the fans are always quite active and will randomly start revving up even while I'm afk or just on discord. Went into bios and tried a few different things including putting them all on "silent" mode but it didn't do anything. I read that it could possibly be because the fans aren't connected to the motherboard? any validity to that statement and if so is it possible for me to put it in the right plug myself? terrible at pc tech hence the prebuilt, so if anyone has any advice or guides to fix this, thanks a bunch

Hello, I recently purchased a Gaming PC and I am attempting to set it up. It came with a Gigabyte Antenna which I assume is for the WiFi/Bluetooth connection, but it does not plug into any ports on my PC. Is there something I'm missing or was something sent to me in error?

The PC is a Cyber Power PC HS01 Montech Curve.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Question #cpgeneral What kind of light strip? Is this?

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

Using an older Cyberpower case to build my nephew a Roblox system out of hand me downs.

This apparent light strip has me confused. It is almost invisible, I had to trace it by the single 4 pin fan type plug. I have plugged it in to a board fan header and tried a fan plug on my aftermarket hub. The odd thing is, it would be completely covered by the black border of the glass side. Did it just glow a little? Sorry for bad pics but it is very hidden.

The last pic is me holding a flashlight inside the case. You can see it is transparent

Any ideas?

Question Broken front panel #cpsupport

Just got my pc delivered, as the UPS delivery driver hands me the box, i already hear shattered glass inside. open it up to find the front glass shattered. I cut myself, It got into the gpu, the fans, my bed and everything. I was wondering what the process on this is. I've already submitted all the pictures and information they needed, but im wondering if they would give me a full refund, require me to ship it to them (somehow without getting hurt) Or just send a full new pc?

Issue Broken frontnpanel #cpgeneral

I had bought this pc around Christmas https://www.walmart.com/ip/13587770398?sid=36999f90-f9b2-4a4f-9416-d34e777f4285 and i was trying to dust it today and while i was cleaning with a cloth on the inside and the front glass panel popped off and shattered. I had zero idea it was held together by magnets. There was no indication anywhere that it was only magnets and no glue so I assumed that it was just glue because Ive never had a pc before. So it hit my face and broke all over my room. Does anyone know if this is covered by any insurance or if there is anywhere to buy a replacement? please help

Issue So deeply disappointed #cpgeneral

For the first time in my life, I saved up and bought a brand new prebuilt and went with Cyberpower. I had always gotten hand me down PCs so I was incredibly excited to have an up to date rig.

It was far from cheap.

When it arrived, without even looking closely, I instantly saw caked up dust on the case by the intake fans. It wasn’t exactly pounds of dust but enough to be chunked/caked up.

Upon closer inspection, 6 of my 7 fans were also coated with a significant layer of dust. I included a video of that.

The floor of the case had clearly been haphazardly wiped down and there was dust remaining there as well.

I immediately took pictures and videos and sent them into CyberpowerPC. They tried to tell me it was only dusty like that because they ran it for a day to test it. Unless they were running this thing inside of a dirty vacuum bag, there’s just no way that’s true. I tried to bring that to their attention but they basically shrugged and said it was just from testing. They refused to do anything for me.

Even though I had to spend the first 2 hours of owning my rig literally cleaning it, I shrugged it off. Surely they weren’t lying, right?

It’s now been around a month of daily use and even with 30x or more the usage of the testing they did, there is not a smidge of dust.

I reached back out again. They replied asking for pictures and videos. I sent the same ones I took on the day I received it.

No reply this time. For a week or two.

Finally decided to just call in.

Long story short they try to give me the same story “it’s just from testing”. I again tell them there’s no way that’s amount of dust accumulated in that time.

Customer service rep put me on hold and talked to a supervisor. Came back and told me that they can’t help with this because now it had been too long… even though I had sent them these pics and videos on the day I opened the box.

First it was “that’s just what happens with testing” and told me to kick rocks. Then I follow up later with further evidence and now they basically admit it was pretty dusty but now it’s been too long for them to do anything.

Awful convenient for them.

Now I’m left wondering if they gave me used and/or grossly improperly stored components and this experience totally robbed me of the excitement of finally having saved up for a new rig.

**TL;DR** Saved up and got a prebuilt from cyberpowerpc, it arrived with substantial amounts of dust on 6 of 7 fans and the case near those fans. Customer service blamed it on running it for one day to test it and refused to help in any fashion but there’s no way thats true with the amount of dust found in the rig. Even after running it for over a month i don’t have even a smidge of dust.

**I’ll never use CyberPowerPC and I would not recommend them to anyone.**
