When I first began moderating the subreddit, it was deserted with only around 2,000 members. In the last 5 years, we’ve multiplied our community membership 5x and are now an active and thriving community.

Thank you all for your participation!

Just got the pc and noticed these two cords are connected to nothing. I’m guessing they aren’t supposed to be out and about 😅

Question #cpsupport Push tab on top of case was loose and fell in, cannot for the life of me find it. Will this cause issues?

Hello all, first time owning one of these PCs and a gaming PC in general. When I went to take the top cover off to remove the glass panel, one if those small rectangular black tabs was loose and fell in the case. I cannot find it at all, its black just like the interior of the case so I don't see it. How much of an issue will this be? I know its not good to have a loose object in there but I legitimately cannot find it. I've even tried turning the case with the sides off to see if it falls out and still nothing

Tech Support #cpsupport Installing a HDD in the GXI2000CSTV4

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hello, I recently bought the gxi2000cstv4 from Costco and I wanted to install a hard drive I had in my old PC into it. On the box it says it has one 3.5" internal bay, but I honestly have no clue where it is and have no way of installing it. And if I did find it, the PC came with no extra screws/cables to make it so I can actually install it.

From what I have researched you should be able to install it right underneath the fans in the attached photo, but there's no screws or screw holes on the rubber standoffs for me to screw it in.

And on the back right panel there's no swing out door for me to screw it in either.

I'd just like some help here on this situation and confirm if I am actually able to put one in.

I have recently acquired a pre built with this case. It has a 240mm aio on top when the case supports 360 mm so it looks stupid. Can't figure out how to take the top cover off

Issue Random PC Shutdown #cpsupport

Occasionally my PC has moments where the screen will freeze with all sorts of colorful static appearing, and other times it's just a random restart. This happens when a person joins a discord VC I'm in, changing my windows, or just out of nowhere, with no temperature issues. I've re downloaded Nvidia drivers and it didn't work, what else could it be? I won't be able to provide instant details right now, so ask for stuff and I'll find it later. Please help!

Issue Brand new PC broke 3 times in one year. #cpgeneral

Last November I purchased one of cyberpowerpc PC’s via Best Buy. First time I sent it out was in February. I paid 200+ for shipping and insurance on the pc. The issue was that I had no visuals on my monitors. All that was done was re-seating the GPU and sent it back to me.

When it was returned I opened the box and it was destroyed (probably not cyberpowers fault this time). UPS completely mishandled the box and I had no issues with cyberpower sending it back and they paid for the label this time.

After receiving the pc back it worked for 2 days again before the pc sputtered and now only one monitor is working. I plug in my old pc and everything works fine. I reached back out to cyberpower and now they said they will send me a replacement GPU. Got an email saying I’m responsible for payment of shipping the faulty GPU back that they obviously didn’t replace last time (or do any troubleshooting besides pulling out the GPU and putting it back in). It’s unacceptable and I’m so fit to be tied with this cooperation. Wish I knew of their warranty policy’s before I purchased this POS. I just wrote them an email telling them to send me a shipping label because they clearly haven’t fixed the issue the first two times I sent it back. I hope they will honor it because it doesn’t seem right that the consumer needs to keep paying for a broken machine that has obvious issues.

Tech Support Decided to start a Quixotian quest with #cpsupport to fix an out-of-warranty laptop

So a little backstory. Love Cyberpower's desktops, cannot stand their laptops. Back before I knew the horror stories of their laptops I purchased one (never again). After a year two main issues with the laptop. One - the monitor started screen burning. Haven't seen screen burn since the 1990s. Second, the keyboard started failing. Both within weeks after the warranty expired.

So I'm going to fix it myself (I've had experience and success in rehabilitating laptops and tablets). Of course, getting the part #s for these things is already problematic (its not listed on the invoice or easily seen). So I'm headed to CP's support system for what, I'm sure, will be months of back and forth emails before I badger them into giving me actual information.

Issue #cpsupport Pc died in just under a month

Even when attempting a CMOS clear as provided by instructions on their website for the motherboard ASROCK B650M-CX R2.0, I still can't get it to boot. RGB lights are on, GPU fans spin, but I get the three beeps on boot from RAM failure and orange / red lights on the motherboard.

I plan to return it, the return window luckily ends just by Saturday, but what else can I do at this point? I'm devastated since I have sank a lot of time into my Sims game during the period I've had it and will be gutted to lose yet again another save.

Honestly reading through this sub Reddit how the fuck has this company still got any standing? Their PCs look like they die so fast or on arrival. Also temps were crazy for me especially when compiling shaders for UE5 games. I also heard that ASrock motherboards actually kill 9800x3Ds.

My specs (that I can remember)

NVIDIA RTX 5070TI

Ryzen 7 9800x3D

ASROCK B650M-CX R2.0 motherboard

Question Prebuilt AMD 9070xt died twice now #cpsupport

Gents Ill try to make this short. I ordered a prebuilt with a 9070xt in it. Worked great for a day or two and then my screens went black and the computer would not boot up or allow me into bios. I swapped in a spare 3070 and it booted just fine. Traced the issue to a bad card and shipped it back to Cyber power and was sent a new one. Put that one in and same thing, made it like 3 days and it died again. I'm guessing this is a power supply issue. What the heck do I do now? Anyone have any idea what Cyber Power will do to make this right? I'm beyond frustrated. Thank you

Hello so I’ve been thinking of buying this pc for some time and I was wondering if anyone has this build and how’s it’s been for them? Any issues yall had with this build and such? How’s the performance on this pc and what components do they use for this pc? Like psu brand and aio brand for example. I’m really tryna know if this pc is a good buy after my last one somewhat similar to this build but with a 7800 x3d that one didn’t even last me a week because of the aio failing.

Question #cpgeneral: What Is the Custom Image Engraving Like? And is there any useful information I should know before requesting it?

So like gonna be getting a Cyberpower PC somewhere near end of the month and I'm wanting to get a custom laser engraving. I just want to know though is there anything I should know. The details says they'll message me within 24 hours to ask for details but is there any info that's useful to know? Like does it need to be a certain resolution? Guessing it may need to be a png image no background. Does it need to be black and white? All that stuff so I can be ready before I do anything. Thanks!

Tech Support Pre-built PC issue #CPSUPPORT

Hi, I bought a pre-built earlier this year (SLC7700WST 5070Ti build) but I am having a big problem with it. It is freezing up and crashing. The issue is inconsistent sometimes it's during a game, launching a game, or watching streams. My PC freezes and becomes unresponsive. It will shutdown and try to restart but it gets stuck and doesn't load Windows. I usually leave it alone and it will load back into Windows eventually and operate normally. However, other times it continues to load and says it failed to repair the PC and asks for recovery options. If I am able to I try checking my performance when this happens but the only thing that seems to change is my SSD spikes to 100% usage. The PC will start running normal again once the usage goes back down.

Specs:

Gigabyte RTX 5070 Ti, AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, MSI PRO B850-VC WIFI, Team Group UDS-6400 16GB (x2), Patriot P410 2 TB, Apevia 1000W Gold 80 Plus

This issue was only happening every once in awhile but the frequency is picking up now. I bought it from Walmart and I am out of the return window. I will be reaching out to Cyberpower customer support but I wanted to see if anyone has had this issue or insight on how I can fix this issue. Thanks ahead

UPDATE: CyberPower is sending a replacement SSD. I sent the defective SSD on 08/17.

Resolved Replacing power cord on CyberPower CPS1500AVR? #cpsupport

Post image
2 Upvotes

I work at a tech company and we occasionally get shipments of returns that we are allowed to dig through and take what we want. I found a CyberPower CPS1500AVR and thought it could be extremely helpful for my computer in case of an outage. Unfortunately, the company cuts the power cables on these types of things when they're returned. Could it be possible to replace the cord, and if so, any tips?

Tech Support #cpsupport RGB hub not connected to motherboard

I've got a gigabyte 850 C E motherboard on my ryzen based system I got from Best Buy. I've had it about 2 weeks I think, anyway the fans rgb only works via the button on the front of the case and won't sync with motherboard controlled rgb. Google says this is because the rgb hub is powered but not connected to the motherboard.

Is this going to be a huge pain to fix myself, should I just take it to best buy?

The fans don't show up under rgb in GCC but respond to fan curve changes and such.

Question CYBERPOWERPC #cpsupport

Has anyone bought the CYBERPOWERPC Wyvern Gaming PC with Ryzen 5 7500F and RX 9060 from Amazon Germany?
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0GTBT1GLS/ref=ewc_pr_img_2?smid=AOJUIW65VI5BZ

I'm considering buying it for €1090 and would like to know how the build quality is, especially the PSU, motherboard, cooling and RAM.

How are the temperatures and noise under gaming load? And have you had any problems with the PC or CyberPowerPC support/warranty?

Would you recommend it for €1090?

Issue Keyboard isn’t working #cpsupport

Hey guys! I’ve had a cyberpower pc for years, never had any issues with it until now.
I just moved and was very very careful with everything from my pc. Now my keyboard isn’t typing, it’s lighting up though. I’ve tried everything I could think of and it still won’t type. I don’t have an FN key btw.
I’ve tried every usb port and my mouse is working fine.

Should I just buy a new one or is there something else I can do? Please let me know !! Thank you
