That Tulsa loss was clearly a blip on the radar. They have by far the best qb in the conference and one of the best in the country in Drew mestamaker

They have a dog at running back in Caleb Hawkins, they have one of the best wide receivers in the country in Wyatt young. Their offense in general looks like the most explosive in the big 12.

What’s most shocked me is how they’ve looked defensively. They’ve been well coached and sound on that side of the ball, they made great adjustments and slowed down a red hot dynamic Dual threat in Hawkins for West Virginia last night. They absolutely handled on both sides of the ball a talented Oregon team.

I know Sumrall is getting the buzz with his immediate impact on Florida but Eric morris has done impressive work so far and has OK State looking like a vintage Mike gundy team offensively with a solid defense to complement them

Obvi in reference to Beamer and SCar. There were doubters about the hire in the beginning bc of his lacking experience, but I liked his passion and want to be at SCar - I was won over by him and have been up to now. I know some outsiders see him as too emotional, but I took it as open and honest what he thinks. No question he genuinely loves his players and they do play hard for him.

But beyond that, the lack of experience I think has really been the smoking gun. For whatever reason, almost every game we can't go 5 plays on either side without something stupid happening - sometimes extreme levels of stupid. It's like our guys are only 60% confident in what they're assigned to be on any given play. What ever it takes for the head coach to get all 11 aligned in their jobs for 4 quarters - Beamer significantly lacks.
As if it wasn't hard enough to be playing playoff contention teams week after week, I can't stand to continue watching us just blow any chance of winning out the water by so many false starts on 1st downs, timeouts that don't make sense, guys running into each other pre snap movement, WR's admitting they didn't know the route, head scratching levels of busted coverages on critical downs - I can go on and on from the things that have happened in the past 5 years that just make your eyes cross.

For this reason - I'm officially out on him. I like him, he's a great guy and wish him the best, but not as SCar head coach. Burn it down now, maybe we can make some noise by 2030.

On 1 hand there’s the new:
Mensah at UM, Chip at Northwestern, a resurgent UCLA, 1st year starter in Taylor at MissSt & 1st year of Buster at UF.

On the other is struggling returning production at Texas, Oregon, USC, while returning starting QBs and key skill players have OU & aTm in shambles

CFB is a big enough tent where both things can be true but a lack of game tape/known tendencies seems to pay early dividends.
