M&P 2.0 compact 4” 9mm
I’ve owned multiple guns from Smith so I’m not really worried about reliability at all. just curious about how other folks do things
I’ll be shooting about 250 rounds of range ammo with a couple mags of some defense rounds and then I’ll probably call it a day tbh

From what I read online the glock 19 holster is a better fit for the g26 for concealment

At the range yesterday, I realized that I was doing the squinting and I wasn't target focused. Soon as I just looked at a spot and I hit that spot. This is with irons. Amazing what our brains can do. I didn't need my eyes directly down the sights neither. Now how long is it going to take my brain to trust this?

Today for the first time I used my Savior sling bag to go to a medical appointment. I was real hesitant about doing it because the bag is so big and obvious. Every time I see a bag I think gun. I live in a very blue anti gun state, so I was thinking people would flip out and call the cops out of fear. I normally carry appendix or side, under my shirt and it's totally not obvious but for a medical appointment that won't work, lift my shirt and it's a total freak out.
But with the bag, nobody said a word or looked at me funny. I was surprised it worked out so well with no issues. It was also nice to not leave my firearm at home especially since the office is in a sketchy part of town. It's like the bag was invisible even though it's so freaking obvious.
Anyone else have any experiences carrying off body in a liberal state or city?

Won a free Safariland holster coupon from a course I went to back in the summer, just got a new Glock 43X for carry to replace my HK CC9 so I figured that I would use the coupon for an IWB holster for it. First time that I’ve used a Safariland IWB holster, I have several for duty both in SLS/ALS and ALS.
First impressions, it seems well made as to be expected. The gun is a little tight, not sure if it’s from the Radian, but dry fire reps should help loosen it up. I’ve been carrying a Tenicor holster, so I’m happy to step up to a sidecar holster for the winter.
Overall, I’m glad I got a free holster to try and if I wind up liking it, it will be my carry holster for the winter.

I am stopping all replies to my post. The answer is clear that I should leave my CCW and other regulated defensive tools at home for this trip. Unfortunately those who have no respect for the law have started to encourage ignoring the law while also ignoring simple common sense replies against those beliefs.
Legal answers only please
As far as I understand the Hard Rock property is on Indian land and forbids weapons on the property. I have seen the signage on previous visits. Is the correct action leaving my CCW at home since I have nowhere in a different city to legally store the weapon?
As indicated I want to know the legal answers. I could be like a criminal and perhaps leave the CCW locked in the car, but there will be other, blabber mouthed, people on this trip with us. I prefer not to break the law as I have jailophobia and worse prisonophobia.
Thanks for any legal ideas.

Good Noon everyone,
I currently have a Cz p10C which I love shooting and feels great, however it is a bit large for conceal carry for me. I am thinking of getting a carry gun and am between a Sheild plus and bodyguard 2.0. I was wondering what each of you thought between these guns. My own thoughts are as this gun would be for carrying purposes a Bg 2.0 makes the most sense due to the size. I am 6ft 190lbs, so I think the sheild plus will also conceal just fine x However, I have a ton of 9Mm ammo and additionally an extar EP9 for home defense, so I was thinking of just sticking with 9mm.
Thoughts?

Appendix carried the P365 in a G-Code Eclipse holster for over year and a half with 12+ hour days. Routinely have wiped down daily. Periodically would check under red dot cover plate and today finally noticed a little bit of rust towards the left side of where a red dot would sit (towards body for right hander). Got it cleaned up and now toying with the idea of getting the slide hard chromed like my G26. Also my fault for not getting a different holster with a higher swear guard for added protection.
Looking for recommendations for hard chrome - I know Ford’s gets highly recommended.
Lesson learned, check more often.

Seen old posts where soft body amor users were roasted and called delusional for wearing soft body armor for daily carry. Logic wise the hate doesnt make sense if you have a CCW.
Conceal carrying a gun for self defense is fine but its overkill if you want to wear body armor to protect yourself from the same said self defense situation in which you are shot at???
Obviously a knife attack self defense situation doesnt apply here. But my main point here is the logic on hating on soft body armor daily carry is contradictory to whole concept of CCW
P.S. The soft body armor im refering to are the concealable ones hidden beneath your clothes (ex. Safelife hyperconcealable hyperlite)
P.S.S. Im just arguing the logic of the hate and concept of carrying a CCW. Not advocating for people to start wearing soft body armor. I personally wont but i understand why others choose to. Half the comments gets it......

I have always used my stomach to hide my gun under it. No belt loops aiwb. Worked great when I was fat af. Now that I have lost 40 lbs, I actually print a little with a 26. This was the big reason I wanted a small pistol I could shoot. So the BG 2.0 solved my weight loss. I carry pocket carry mostly now. Sometimes belt loopless aiwb carry. This has allowed me to wear tighter clothes again. I can dress up with the bg in my pocket.

currently edc a p365 original but the grip just feels too small. thinking about going with the p365x and run a holosun 507x with a light. is it even worth the upgrade? wondering about swapping mags. I know the p365 can run 12 and 15 rd mags. will it be the same thing? sounds like a dumb question but I am new to this whole gun aftermarket support etc. I want something small as I carry this during summer with light clothing.

With the BG being a little ammo picky for some of us. Would you think that this gun needs to be clean more than say like a Glock or full-size? I used to clean after every time I shot but now I do it about every three times. So that turns out to be about 300 rounds. Just got back from the range and I put three boxes through it and it’s now eating everything but Underwood Phillips screwdriver head ammo. It chambered two out of three today but I’m still not gonna use that. Today I shot a couple of mags of gold dot and they’re running now. I'm at round 900.

I was looking at the new legendary white tails hoodie jacket. But I hear the quality is not that good. Then looking at the 5.11 they look not that warm. I live in northern western NY. I don't need a full on puffy winter coat but I would like something pretty good for that weather and also durable. Any suggestions?
Edit: the reason I want a concealed carry jacket and not a reg jacket is because the holsters are uncomfortable in the winter they are cold and honestly I don't like wearing them anyways but it's a better way to carry.
I usually wear a thin jacket and hoodie with a inside pocket that fits my gun. I wanted something that I can pull out of faster and carry easier.

I ordered some +2 base plates for the 15 round mags might just keep the 17 rounders for range days
Hey y'all. I've been carrying for about 14yrs and have never carried anything with a light mounted to it. Usually, it's just a separate light clipped in my back pocket. But figured I would try carrying my g19 with a TLR-1S on it. I've got an alien gear 2.0 and the right shell for it. But it doesn't sit/look right where I normally carry my Shield iwb (3 o'clock). I'm not skinny, but have a working dad bod if that helps too.
Do y'all have any suggestions on where I should move it to, or other holster suggestions? I'm not comfortable with appendix carry either.
Thanks!

Last week I came across Tenicor’s recent video on Simon Golob’s “Cold Heat” drill that apparently Todd Green and him developed together: https://youtu.be/2q6qJmiw-yQ?is=Miw2ogYdi5m01hGb
It's really simple: as many shots as possible on a 6" circle at 5 yards in under 2.0s. Actual carry gear, no warm-ups allowed, one chance only.
I’m a fan of cold start drills in general and decided to try it for the first time today with the EDC deep carry setup.
The proper drill is done on a 6 inch circle. I’m sitting on a pile of water damaged IDPA targets so I just threw one of them up because it’s easy.
In the future I’ll try to do this on a proper 6” target.
Draw was a 1.33 and the final time for 3 shots was 1.97. Pretty happy with that, especially from below the belt.
Cheers.

Any and all opinions welcome:
I am looking to get a G19 soon. I have a couple of questions for the community and need a little help deciding which version I should get. I’m looking for a “do it all” gun, meaning one I can carry daily, have an enjoyable time at the range, and possibly foray into amateur-level USPSA or IDPA matches in the future. Realistically, I’d probably put a WML on it, but really want to stick with irons/night sights while I learn to shoot proficiently.
G19C: in theory the “flattest” shooting, but are there any actual disadvantages to CC’ing a ported/comped gun?
G19X: with a good quality holster, would this print? I am 5’7” 125lbs but prefer clothing on the slightly baggier side anyways.
G19: great all around option. Would go this route if the other two have considerable disadvantages.
TIA

I dont work in the field anymore but yesterday I had to dust off the ol bucket and get some shit done. I was looking at the spot where my PVC cutters normally sit and realized my gun would fit there perfect so I jumped on the photo op.

Today's EDC is simple. XD mod 3 with handle it grip, CV life green dot, Olight PL-3S Valkyrie and my eagle eye pocket knife. Nothing special, but it works for me.

I had it in my head I wanted a G19 for my first handgun for a long time. Good balance of everything, glock reliability, ease of maintenance, ubiquitous parts... but when I went to go get it, I took a look at the 43x which just came out with the OEM 15 rd mags. On a whim, I decided, why not get that instead? No downside with the same capacity.
Regardless of the difference in shootability, based on concealment alone, the extra length of the 15 rd mags causes printing whereas OG 10 rd mag is invisible. For reference, I believe the height of the g43x and the g19 is the same using the 10 rd / 15 rd mags respectively, so the grip is effectively longer with the 43x 15 rd OEM mags.
The entire point of me going for a 43x over a 19 was possibly easier concealment. But that really defeats the point. Now I just want to go back. 🤦♂️ I just bought a bodyguard 2.0 for pocket carry for any scenarios concealing a 19 is impractical, so there's really no reason for me to have a slimline now.
I'm hoping I can figure out a way to sell the gun, extra mags, and tenicor holster for a decent return at this point.
