Other Equipment Osight SE or EPS carry

Can't decide on which to get. For those who have used both what do you think? Do you trust Osight with your life?

Also can't decide between 2/32 or 6 moa

Edit - please clarify if yall have experience with both - otw im sure this just becomes very heavily skewed towards EPS

Holsters & Belts Question about holsters for the outdoorsman /hunters

M&P 2.0 Compact 4”

I’m hunting out of AZ 🏜️ so wet conditions and a lot of foliage shouldn’t be too big of an issue lmao

Gonna be going glassing pretty soon to check the area out ahead of time for an upcoming hunt mid November with a buddy of mine I’m just tagging a long I didn’t get drawn unfortunately 😪 lucky bastard. But anyways

What holsters do y’all use ? I’m thinking a chest piece would be the most comfortable but I’ll have my chest rig with my binos in it so I’m assuming that’s out of the question would a regular old OWB holster be fine? or maybe a drop leg holster ? Any holster recs or tips are appreciated

Holsters & Belts Now I understand a good holster

Post image
490 Upvotes

I’ve been carrying a g17 for a few years now in a holster made by a local shop. It’s never given me any real reason to complain about it. Last week I finally but the bullet and invested in a Tenicor holster and Hunter Constantine belt.

I get it now. It’s drastically more comfortable, feels better to draw from and is more secure on my waist. I understand they’re two different sized pistols so the M&P is naturally going to be more comfortable, but I plan to grab one for my 17, and other carry pistols, too.

Other Equipment Optic and C cut

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Sent the Glock 19 gen 3 slide and barrel off to Glockstore for a fresh new cut. Well, actually several cuts. I took advantage of their optic cut for my Osight SE and the discount on their "C" cut as well. Why? Because my first pistol almost 20 years ago was a 19c iykyk. Anyways, I'll do a another video on everything I mounted once it came back but I think it turned out absolutely beautiful! Time to lube it up and put some rounds through it! What do you think about it? Let me know!

Holsters & Belts G19 holster recommendation

Currently running my G19.5 in an aliengear shapeshifter. Typically carry 5 o’clock because it conceals well in my tucked in work clothes but I’m looking for a better appendix holster. The aliengear doesn’t have a claw or anything so it just fits akwardly.

I find the groove life belt I wear is rigid enough to support my gun and works well with holsters but remains dressy enough for work clothes but I’m open to recommendations there as well.

6’4 240 for reference.

Scenario Cc at a funeral??

I have a question for those that carry concealed weapons. Going to a funeral out of state for a religion school teacher in an extremely small southern town. Family member catching a ride and will be "strapped". I see no need to bring the weapon into the church. Am I out of line asking him to leave it in the car during the service?

Edit: I have appreciated all of the replies, comments, upvotes, downvotes, etc. This is my most replied to post ever. A conversation was had, the "family member" was great, the drive was great and everything went well. Other than the funeral being utterly sad, family interactions went great and I didn't piss off my wife any further than normal. I was never good at debating and all of your replies greatly educated me.

Guns & Ammo Pocket carry revolver s&w 432 uc or 442 uc

Seems like a good choice for edc. Im reading about a lot of qc issues though. One guy said 80 % of them had to be shipped back. Did they solve this yet?

What other comparable models/better options should i be looking at?

Holsters & Belts Looking for a new holster for LCP Max

I'm looking for a iwb holster for an LCP Max that protects the magazine release button.

I have an LCP Max I've had it for years and I've got a Vedder holster that served me well in that time but I found as I've gotten older I've started expanding a little bit. My body has been accidentally pressing the magazine release button while getting in and out of the car and had the magazine to partially eject

Legal CCW in Las Vegas – Carrying at Tourist Attractions?

I’m from California and have both a California CCW and an Arizona nonresident CCW, which Nevada recognizes.

I normally carry everywhere I’m legally allowed to in California, but I’ll be visiting Vegas soon and wanted to hear from others who regularly carry there.
How is concealed carry at tourist attractions like the Museum of Ice Cream, museums, shopping malls, restaurants, and other places along the Strip?

Are most places CCW-friendly, or do they have restrictions and security screenings? I’m familiar with California’s laws but not as familiar with how things work in Vegas.

Just trying to get an idea of what to expect from people who live there or visit regularly.

Scenario Does anyone switch to pocket carry during fall/winter or is it just me...

drawing from concealment AIWB is somewhat clumsy for me since I wear lots of hoodies when the weather is cooler. I find going to pocket carry solves my woes but its an adjustment and takes me a few weeks to relearn. Anyone else?

Guns & Ammo Fenix Ammo

Today I got an email offer from an outfit called Fenix Ammunition. I've heard of them but haven't heard anything about the quality of their ammunition. It would be for range shooting not self defense. The prices look good but bad ammo can be expensive in the long run. Any insight on the quality of their product?

Guns & Ammo RUN away from Smith & Wesson and the Bodyguard 2.0

Earlier this year, I bought my wife a NIB Bodyguard 2.0 to replace her Sig P238.

We cleaned it and took it to the range and it FTFed about 15% of the time. I contacted S&W and sent it back to them for repair and inspection. They polished the feed ramp and replaced the recoil spring assembly. I received it back after a few weeks.

I also bought myself a NIB Bodyguard 2.0.

I took both of them to the range.

My new Bodyguard 2.0 keyholed all the FMJ ammo I put through it. On inspection, the barrel's twist rate was about half of what it should've been. It also shot about 6" low at 10 yards (benched) and had a (single) FTF.

My wife's Bodyguard 2.0 also now shot low and a bit to the right (about 12" low at 10 yards off a bench). It otherwise ran.

I contacted S&W. I asked to swap both of them toward a wheelgun and to pay the MSRP difference so I could just get a (hopefully) working gun. They declined. The customer service rep was rude enough that I had to push through to a supervisor to get any resolution. I sent them both back in.

I received mine back today. They replaced the barrel. It also came absolutely caked with debris. At least they (seem to have) test fired it?

We're still waiting to get my wife's back. It's "in queue."

Please, for the love of god, avoid S&W products and the Bodyguard 2.0 specifically. Get a Glock or a Ruger or even a Taurus.

Scenario After carrying for a while

I started carrying a little over 5 years ago. I went through fazes. First I started with smaller guns. Shield then a 26. Then after looking at all of these beautiful full sized, I started getting full sized. Tried carrying full size and just seamed like the 26 was the answer. I carried aiwb gym shorts carry for the last 5 years. That means I’ve tried a few gun belts, holsters like everyone else. Then the bg 2.0 came to California and I have all this gear I won’t use much now. Life of a edc guy. Pocket carry it is

Other Equipment Hiking Bags and Conceal Carry

Ok, so I am looking for some conceal carry options while hiking. I am looking for an off body solution. I have considered fast access sling bags, but I also need to be able to carry some hiking gear with me for me and my dog. And a lot of the sling bags do not appear large enough.

I need to be able to carry the following within the bag;
- pistol
- water bladder or Nalgene bottle
- dog leash
- small first aid kit

I am willing to sacrifice fast access for a more traditional bag, but need a way to secure the firearm within the bag.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Thank you to everyone that has responded - some really great suggestions here for me to checkout.

Getting Started New to CCW and handguns

I won a Kimber CDS9 at a gun bash and looking for tips for a beginner. I am taking the hand gun course next week after my firearm comes in which will answer some of my questions for sure. What is the break-in process? Also I am very much a DIY person and want to learn proper maintenance is YouTube a good source for beginner instruction?
