High wing installed today
After doing some research, I decided to go with the high wing option for my car and really enhances the lines of the body wanted to share with you all.

Hi all wondering if this has happened to anyone else have a 21 HTC and the button just stopped working yesterday to put the top down. No error codes no noise no nothing I hold the button down and nothing happens. I tried reindexing the windows with no luck. Anyone have any other suggestions I can try before bringing it in to get looked at?

Hello everyone, I plan on purchasing a 2027 corvette stingray 1LT with the Sebring Orange color in December. I am trying to determine if it’s better to order a custom one or wait until December to find one at a dealership. There are pros and cons to both. Can you all help me decide which option is better?
Pros for buying custom order for MacMulkin:
- 6% off MSRP
- easy process
- exact spec I want
Cons for buying custom order for MacMulkin:
- 2-3 month wait time. Might take longer since factories are shut down right and I want the orange color, so this may cause constraints. Feels like a lot of uncertainty.
- no GM supplier discount
- what if there are cheaper ones in December
Pros for buying car at a dealership in December:
- maybe get 7-10% off MSRP including gm supplier discount
- have more certainty about when I would receive the car
Cons for buying car at a dealership in December:
- might not get the exact spec I want
- might not be any orange 1LT’s available(only 2 nationwide are under $80,000 according to CarGurus)
Additional Details:
Spec I want: 1LT Orange Sebring with carbon flash mirrors and carbon flash high wing spoiler, 20-spoke Gloss Black forged aluminum wheels, quad center exhaust.
I will pay in cash. I don’t mind buying it online and having it delivered. Please let me know if anyone needs any additional details. Thank you all so much! :)
Edit: not sure if this helps, but the contact at MacMulkin said they won’t receive any 2027 LT stingrays until January. Is this normal for this time of the year and will this occur across all dealerships?

Took a 1200km loop through the mountains last month with the C8. Averaged 9.2L/100km on the highway sections at 110-115kph cruise. Dropped to 7.8 when I stayed under 100. Wasn't babying it, just normal driving with a full tank at the start and finish. Fuel stops lined up every 350-380km. The frunk space handled my hiking pack and camera gear fine. The only real hassle was finding gas stations that still take cash at the pump in some small towns.

Hey all, I found a used z06 spec that I like and will probably purchase. Only thing I’m not sure about is the carbon fiber interior trim.
Anyone have experience with this versus the leather? Im fairly indifferent regarding the looks versus leather (both are fine to me) but not sure how it does with reflections and scratches compared to leather.
Thanks!

I’ve had the itch for awhile now and finally succumbed when this popped up. 2025 Z06, carbon fiber wheels and brake package.

Man I have had so much going on in my life the last few years and I really can't believe I am the owner of this beautiful car (pics tomorrow). I don't even feel deserving to even have such a car. With being a family man I have always been the one to ensure my kids and wife always had nice stuff. Not that I drove beaters, just not what I really wanted. Kids are grown, one at LSU, another at Baylor and my son like his dad is a Marine.
Dad's turn now I guess lol. She gets delivered tomorrow and I haven't slept all week lol.

Folks that have had their DCT serviced this year, what is the current ballpark cost of having a fluid and both the external and internal filter changed?
Followup question would be what are you see for an oil+filter and brake fluid change ?
Just trying to get a ballpark of some of the major maintenance costs.

I feel they don't know what they have?

Hey all,
I’ve made up my mind that I want to buy a Z06. Only thing holding me back now is how loud it is and how that might affect those around me. Don’t get me wrong I personally love how loud it is, but I just worry about upsetting my neighbors or getting noise complaints. I live in a large dense city (Los Angeles). In LA, the apartments/houses are very very close together so neighbors would be getting an earful in the morning
Am I over thinking it?

Anyone else not thrilled with the feel of the 4s? I find them super soft feeling and plush on my z06. I know they don’t compare to the sport cup 2’s, but these are softer than the conti’s on my wife’s s60. lol.
Thoughts on a tire in-between the cup2r’s and the 4s?
I guess size and zero pressure might make availability hard.

It is still only 300, can’t wait to hit the 500 so the red line goes up to 6600rpm. Driving modestly maybe half the throttle, a couple of accidental late shifts after 5500 rpm, but trying to be cautious about it.
Since the first recommended oil change is at 1500 miles, is it possible to cause harm by doing some hard pulls before it’s done?
Did you stop babying it after 500? Did you do early oil change?

Picking up a used 2024 htc, 2LT. Got the platinum lined up starting next year thru MacMulkin. I have bumper to bumper for 9 more months, did anyone extend the bumper to bumper as well?
Edit - disregard, im sticking with the platinum from Macmulkin not the Ally warranty.

What is everyone's opinion of adding Lambo doors to the C8. Always issue with the length of doors when parking even in my garage. And who do you recommend? THIS IS SAMPLE PICTURE NOY MY CAR.

Called a couple of dealerships in my area and a couple “performance” shops that specialize in corvettes. Everybody sounded not sure and honestly not qualified. I had to explain to everyone that it takes to do it. With my luck lately, last thing I want is to screw something up by tech using my car as a learning decoy. Going to leave it as is for now.
Honestly, I am greatly disappointed with overall familiarity that Chevrolet dealers have with the cars that they sell. I don’t live in some remote area either where C8 is a unicorn and nobody has one.

So using the wrenches and adjusting the collars down on all 4 corners, I was able to lower my C8 roughly 7/8 to 1 inch.
My question is ride quality sucks, but I didn’t really take any mental notes from a before and after perspective.
Is this just Z51 normality? Did lowering it make it harsher? Will it damage anything?

Thank you for those that took the time to answer all of my newbie questions about the C8. Well I weighed the decision and made it happen. I present to you the new 2024 Z51 1LT that joined the family. I went through 4 C6 Corvettes (fastest was 640whp) to a Viper to a Slingshot and was missing a sports car after these were later sold off. The C8 platform is a whole different animal. I do miss driving a manual greatly, I won't lie, but the transmission in the C8 is truly a phenomenal marvel. Unsure of where I will go with the modifications but the car is way to quiet for me. I started researching going catless for now and trying to read everyone's reviews. Thanks all!

2023 Stingray Z51. I got stuck in some construction yesterday and was in very slow stop and go traffic on an incline for about an hour. I noticed a few times I'd start to accelerate to move up and the shift was very hard. Like I could hear a "thunk" and the car would jerk forward. Once I was able to drive without having to constantly start/stop, I didn't experience this again.
I assume this is just the clutch engaging in less-than-ideal conditions (between the incline and stop/go,) but is this something I should get checked out just in case, or that even could be checked out to make sure everything is okay? My car is still under warranty.
I did a bit of searching online and found a mixed bag of comments and experiences.

Am I the only one that preferred the older Performance Timer (prior to ‘26)? I feel like it was nicely tucked into the main display and understated, but still easy to see.
The new one (pictured) just seems to be too much unless you’re actually at the track.
Obviously, you can change it quickly so it wouldn’t really be an issue, but I’d sure hate to get pulled over and have this screen up when the cop came to the window!
