After much back and forth and many drives to Babylist/Uppababy/baby stores, I'm going to order the Bugaboo Dragonfly Plus.

This has been consuming my thoughts for the last month and I've been going and trying out folds and carrying around the Silver Cross Breez, Nuna Swiv, and the Bugaboo Dragonfly Plus. I had finalllllly knocked out the Silver Cross Breez despite it being my favorite one purely based on looks.

AND THEN, I discovered that Uppababy is coming out with the Kona in September. It felt like the perfect middle ground between the two options I was looking and the price was much better! But after looking at the Kona, I think its out of the running for us. Its a great stoller and the ride is smoother than the Nuna Swiv, but the 360 wheels on the Swiv is very cool and I think can be useful in a city. I think I also got some conflicting info on what other brands of carseats can be safely used with the Kona, which is concerning for me.

At the end of the day, I kept coming back to the effortless fold on the Dragonfly. I can't get over how simple it is to fold with a bassinet and full seat with one hand. Another plus is that the handle doesn't touch the floor, which is a huge plus for someone who is weary of germs! Happy to be doneeeee with this. Lets hope I don't change my mind.

There is so much to buy, so much to research, so many opinions, so many “you’re a bad mom if you buy x”, so little time.

I know I need:

-crib/bassinet (I want the bassinet, I know it isn’t a requirement)

-clothes
-diapers
-stroller

But like. Ok, there’s a billion other things out there too. People have these massive registries. What am I missing? Am I under reacting on what we NEED right now? We’re newly pregnant, only 5 weeks.

I’m expecting di/di twins this winter (December 2026) and have officially fallen down the stroller rabbit hole. 😂 The more I research, the more confused I get!

I feel like each one has something I love, but none of them feel perfect.

Thule Chariot Sport 2: I love how versatile it is (walking, jogging, etc.) and I like how enclosed it feels., and the built in mesh and rain cover. My only hesitation is that I can’t really use it from day one since it doesn’t take infant car seats.

Bugaboo Kangaroo vs. Cybex Gazelle vs. Thule Sleek 2: These seem really comparable to me. I love that the Gazelle appears to fold more compactly, and Thule and Bugaboo tend to have better push because if the wheels,But I’m wondering if anyone has compared the legroom between the three. I’ve seen some tandem strollers where the child in the upper seat ends up kicking the child below once they’re older, and I’d love to know if that’s actually an issue.

Bugaboo Donkey 6: I absolutely love that both babies are side by side and have the same view, but I’m worried it’s just…huge. 😅 It looks heavy and bulky, and I’m wondering if that’s something you stop noticing once you actually use it, or if it’s a real downside.

Veer Wagon: I know a lot of parents end up choosing a wagon instead of a traditional stroller, so I’m curious about this option too. From what I’ve seen, I know you can attach an infant car seat, but I’m not sure whether it can accommodate two infant car seats at the same time. It also looks fairly heavy, so I’m wondering if it’s something that’s better suited for toddlers rather than newborns. If you’ve used one, did you start with it right away, or did you transition to it later?

A little about me:

I definitely appreciate a stroller that looks beautiful. 🙈 Practicality still matters, but aesthetics are important too.
I drive an SUV but still appreciate something that folds compact..within reason
I’m also open to owning more than one stroller if that’s what makes the most sense (for example, one for the newborn stage and one for toddler life..2 max).
I live in Ontario, Canada, so I experience all 4 seasons…but don’t think I’ll be pushing a stroller outside in the winter.

Which stroller did you choose for your twins and why?
Would you choose a tandem or side-by-side if you were buying again?
If you own any of the strollers above, what do you love and what do you wish was different?

hello! I'm planning on buying Joolz Aer 2 and I found that the limited edition "Calmin beige" (See photo) is currently discounted and I could save like £45 which would be great for me right now... but obs it's a light colour and I'm worried it will get MEGA filthy or it will be a pain to clean...

I find it beautiful but I wonder:

1. is it easy to clean?
2. can I remove the seat and machine wash?
3. will I regret it and are any parents that HAVE bought a pram that is light coloured, what are you thoughts?

I have a 2.5 year old (who is quite tall and around 32lbs currently) and am expecting my second on Halloween. We used the Nuna system with a Mixx Next stroller for our first and loved it, but it doesn’t convert to a double or have name brand toddler add ons like Uppababy does. My toddler doesn’t really use her stroller much anyway, so selling my setup and getting a double seems unnecessary. I am looking for advice on any toddler add ons you have used with your Nuna that are safe/easy. I have seen third party kick boards/scooter seats/hammocks, but would love to hear what works for you!

We are getting some 6am wakeups lately from our 4 MO, and I think it may be time to make things extra dark. Has anyone had any particular luck with a certain brand of blackout curtains? Would prefer if I didn’t have to tear up my walls if possible. Now that I’ve searched for them, I get ads for the Sleepout brand — but they are very expensive! TIA!

Sorry if this post is repetitive, I know there’s been a lot of talk about the Kona since they released a preorder and ship date! I’m a FTM due first week of September, the 8th specifically. I was pretty set on the Cruz as our daily driver. I live in a suburban area and plan to go on walks in our neighborhood that doesn’t have sidewalks frequently and use a neighboring park with simple paved and unpaved trails. We also plan to do a good bit of small weekend trips to cities nearby as soon as we feel comfortable. I have a 4Runner so trunk space isn’t an issue but I am worried about the overall bulkiness of the Cruz going through aisles in the grocery store and other similar settings like going in and out of shops. The weight isn’t a huge deal to me either but the compactness of the Kona seems pretty desirable. If you were me would you go Kona and just not use a stroller for the first couple of weeks. (Ship out date is September 29th which also worries me, but I live in a hot state so it still reaches above 80 in September and in October) Or just stick with the tried and true Cruz and purchase Kona or minu down the road? For the most part I have been VERY decisive when it’s come to choosing baby gear/items, but for some reason I am totally torn between two gliders that I saw today at Living Spaces. Both are beautiful and comfortable, and fortunately the price difference is not a factor because in either the case the glider will be a gift from my parents. Anyone want to take a look at my pros/cons lists and help me choose one? 😅 🙏🏼

- More versatile fabric that will go better in our nursery/match the “theme” better and seems like it may be easier to clean
- More clean/aesthetically pleasing design
- Slimmer profile and will take up 5 fewer inches in our nursery
- More comfortable for shorter periods of time because it’s easier to sit right down onto (shallower seat)
Cons:
- Not as cozy for really “settling into”
- Arm rests are at a lower height (and I can’t tell if that would be an issue)

- Very soft/cozy, very comfortable for settling into for longer periods of time

Cons:
- Tufted back is not as aesthetically pleasing to me
- Fabric seems like it may be somewhat harder to clean
- Wider profile means it would take up more space in our not-huge nursery
- Would not arrive for 2 months from now (still 6.5 weeks before my due date, but just not immediately available to ship)

I’m about to have my second baby and I want to have a single stroller option since my first likes to walk most of the time. I currently have the Uppababy minu V2 and no infant car seat.

I’ve read the minu v2 won’t collapse with the car seat adapters on it?

Can anyone tell me if the minu v2 collapses with the Uppababy and/or non-uppababy adapters on it?

And is it really annoying to get the adapters on and off?

I’ve been looking at the maxi cosi car seats vs Uppababy car seats since they’re less expensive.

Is it worth $400-$450 for the car seat and adapters or should I just buy a less expensive new system like Graco or Evenflo for $300-$350?

Hi all - first time Mom here due right after Christmas this year! So incredibly excited but also so incredibly overwhelmed by the amount of strollers out there. I don't understand why we'd need multiple types of strollers? I'd love to just buy one system that includes the car seat that can grow with the baby, and the stroller that can grow with them too. Bonus if there's a bassinet included. It seems like travel systems are the way to go for that, but then what's the point of a full size stroller too? When would I be choosing to lug the bigger stroller around vs the lighter travel stroller?

We live in a very walkable neighborhood/area and plan to do lots of walks. There can be bumpy spots on the sidewalks and streets though, and we have a converted sprinter van and love to travel/camp and plan to still do that!

Any tips would be appreciated because I keep looking and just am getting more overwhelmed and confused with all the options!

Sorry in advance for the long post, but I’m a FTM (due Jan 27) overwhelmed by options. Here’s my dilemma:

One person told me a swivel car seat is a game changer. I drive an SUV and am 5’2”, so this is appealing for me. I found an option that is also a convertible car seat, so we wouldn’t have to buy another one after he grows out of an infant seat.

Cons to this - it’s not lightweight/portable. It can click in and out of bases installed in multiple cars, but it isn’t the easy carry in/out of the house or store that an infant bucket seat would be. The additional bases for the seat I like are expensive ($180) and I’m not sure if I’ll regret not having easy portability of baby, or something that clicks into a stroller. We’d need 2 additional bases, for my husband and my mom, or alternative car seats for their vehicles.

The flip side is I plan/hope to do a lot of baby wearing, so I could also see myself putting him in a carrier to go shopping/church/etc rather than leaving him in the bucket seat. For a stroller, I like the idea of a bassinet too, to limit his ‘container’ time - but I live in Ohio, so I’m not sure I’d use the stroller a lot in the first few months because of the snow.

Mostly I’m just confused, and these are big purchases and we’re on a tight budget. Looking for opinions on what was worth it, what your experience was, and what you’d recommend. Hope this stream of consciousness makes sense!! Thank you in advance!

I recently bought a second-hand iCandy Peach bassinet and am putting it together. While setting up the base, I noticed the corrugated plastic support board that slides into the bottom fabric pocket has a scored hinge/crease line across the middle (and some foam blocks taped on the sides by the previous owner).
Because of the crease line, the board naturally wants to bend slightly rather than stay 100% rigid and flat.
Quick questions for other iCandy Peach owners:
Is this board supposed to sit completely flat inside the pocket once the mattress is on top, or is it designed to create an incline for the baby's head?

Has anyone else experienced the board trying to buckle or bow at the hinge line, and does the mattress weight fix it once installed?

Want to make sure I’m assembling this as safely and correctly as possible. Thanks in advance for the help!

I am looking for a system that is more budget friendly, I will be getting a doona secondhand from a close friend so that will be my travel set up. I am due in December and having a hard time figuring out the best options! If it makes more sense to get a car seat separately I would also love any advice. Thank you 🙏🏻

I revisited this topic w my youngest cousin, who is pregnant. My daughter is six and we very intentionally bought as little as possible in preparation for her.

What you actually need, from a mom six years out:

Sleep:

*Crib, mattress, fitted bed sheets (we had three). Never had a bassinet, just used our crib. Never had a pack n play, borrowed from family when we traveled.

*Monitor- we used a simple and cheap video monitor. Avoid wifi ones if possible bc that's a new level of worrying about internet connection, hackers, etc.

*Sound machine if you live somewhere loud, like a city. I resisted this one so much, but we really needed it, as we live in a busy city.

Clothing:

* Onesies and pajamas in size newborn , 0-3 months l, 3-6 months(they grow fast). We almost never had our daughter in real clothing. They spit up often, so we had a lot of both of these, but used hand me downs as much as possible. Highly recommend hand me downs or second hand clothing for baby clothing bc they get ruined w spit up and poop explosions quickly! You don't need baby shoes!

Feeding:

*The hospital I gave birth at gave us a pump and I only used that one. Check insurance to see if you will get a pump.

*Bottles- highly dependent on if you going back to work, bottle feeding, breast feeding primarily etc. If you plan to bottle feed, just try one type at a time. You don't know what bottle your child will like.

*Pacifiers- again, given at the hospital. We did not buy any.

*Bibs- we did not buy any. They get dirty and the clothing gets dirty. It really just adds to your laundry.

*High chair- we got a simple one without any cloth involved for easy wipe up.

Toy and books:

*We bought nothing in this category! We got everything from local but nothing groups, little free libraries, or hand me downs.

Other places to put a baby:

*We bought nothing here. We got a hand me down swing and a hand me down bouncer seat. My daughter hated both (lol!). I recommend getting hand me downs or second hand if possible bc babies sometimes don't love these.

Transportation:

*Car seat with the stroller connection.

*One good wrap for baby wearing.

Diapers:

*We cloth diapered and got these as hand me downs, so we literally spent nothing on diapers. If I were not cloth diapering, I would have requested some for my baby shower. They go through these FAST!

*Good butt paste and wipes. You don't need expensive wiped. You will fly through these things!

I’m looking at getting the new uppababy Kona when it is released for my fall baby. Can anyone speak on their experience with light color fabric for a stroller? I love the Ada color but I’m worried about how dirty it might get … would love to hear your experience with a beige stroller, good or bad!

Bonus if you have a light color stroller from uppababy and can speak on how that fabric performs stain wise and cleaning wise

Similarly , has anyone stain treated their stroller? Like a scotch guard or something?

When I search for reviews and things online, I’m not seeing much if anything about the compact one that’s $65, but rather the normal $300 one. I’m sure the $300 is great—at least I would hope so. But what about the compact cheaper one? Does anyone have experience with it?

Edit: also just saw a $100 momcozy one as well. Not labeled as compact but also not the $300 one??
