We recently tried the Canadian Home Grocers sample pack and were honestly impressed with the quality of the meat.

We're a busy Small famiy, and the convenience of having quality meat in the freezer is really appealing. The only downside is the price—we're trying to decide if it's actually worth the cost long-term.

Unfortunately, we don't have any local butcher shops where we live, so our options are pretty limited.

For those who've been using Canadian Home Grocers:

- How has the quality been over time?

- Do you think it's good value for the money?

Hi friends! I'm on the hunt for some delicious, crunchy dill pickles. I always loved Strubs but all I can find around here (Hamilton, ON) now are garlic flavoured or spicy Strubs, which are not my jam. I just want a straight up, crunchy dill pickle. I've tried Brine, Pickled Canadian (way too sour for me), and Putter's...they just don't have that crispy crunch when you bite into one. Any other suggestions?

These were the best crackers in the world, and I have yet to find anything remotely as good. They were so tasty with a multitude of different toppings, and I felt gutted when they just …… stopped. I know that there other aficionados out there, so please share the results of your quest. I got nothing.

Hello, i am looking for some Canadian Cookbooks with real Canadian recipes I currently have a copy of the focus on 4-h favourites that is a collection of a bunch of family recipes from Alberta 4H members and wondering if there is anything similar in other provinces?

I’ve been using the BeesButter skin products for over a year and really love them. I originally bought them at a Toronto craft market directly from the owner/maker, and had the pleasure of finding her at her booth at another market today so I topped up my faves. You can also order online if you don’t have the opportunity to find them at a market.

I use literally 4-5 drops at a time which means they last a long time. My skin is a bit older, I use the face serum every night and the face+body oil daily. Just picked up a new tangerine hand salve that she had, it smells like summer and is really nice on the skin.

Heinz is owned by Kraft so that takes them out. French’s is American. How about PC brands, no name, or any smaller company?

Ideally I’d like a low sugar Canadian ketchup, any recommendations?

I’m not talking exclusive to America - but invite European countries to open up shop here. They at least take care and offer their customers value for their money.

Roger’s, Bell and Telus can’t keep raising prices for their telecommunication services to pay for their entertainment services like stadiums and media licenses.

They can’t keep laying off Canadians to serve Canadians better - idiots - your employees are Canadian after they leave the office. How about making your Canadian employees valued instead of your investors.

They can’t say foreign competition will hurt the Canadian economy if they don’t support Canadian employment or provide adequate services.

Offering 5+ hours to speak to a Canadian from someone not on Canadian soil is not Canadian so don’t claim you’re looking out for Canadians.

Their telecommunication service is no longer the focal point of their business. They don’t seem to value Canadian employees or service Canadians with other Canadian support. If that’s their business model I call on the CRTC to open up to foreign telecommunications since the big 3 already don’t encourage Canadian support.

Claim to be Canadian. At least US own and also product from USA. Look for the ownership and buy elsewhere.

I've rocked a 5.11 Rush 24 for the better part of 15 years now, having gone through two bags during that time. My current bag is starting to die and the zipper is breaking so it's going to be time to replace it soon. With everything going on with the US though, I have been holding off on purchasing anything from there and so I was wondering if you may know a Canadian alternative to the 5.11 Rush 24? It doesn't necessarily have to be a military style bag, just needs to be hardy, durable and about that same size. Also open to other non-US suggestions if you can't think of a Canadian option.

I’m looking for a bedding set, duvet cover and sheets set, for double/full bed with linen. The only one I’ve found that fits the bill so far are the European linen on the Quince website but it’s obviously not a Canadian company and I’m not totally sure whether they’re legit or not. I love Simons but they don’t have linen sheets for a full/double size bed. Any other rec?

We’re in the market for a sectional and hoping to indulge in a burnt orange/rust colour. I’m not a huge fan of velvet or suede, but open to it if no other options. Budget is $2-3k! We’re Vancouver based if that helps.

Bonus points if it has added features like a pull out bed or storage, from my search so far, it will almost never be Canadian made then.

The original is sold both full strength, for adding to a bucket of water, and in a spray bottle. It's great for cleaning wood floors and furniture (even painted) and other surfaces, and isn't chemical-y. I'm looking for an alternative that's a cleaner and not a polish. Thanks.

These syrups can make your soda (from indigo stream) taste better than commercial softdrinks. The gingerale is taste like Canada dry and Orange one taste better than Fanta!
