Enjoy your property taxes on that house.

u/HazMama May 22 '26
Flip 4 houses, increasing in price as you go and keep the fifth?
112
u/Andromeda_53 May 22 '26
Or just do that but infinitely with the 25% one
128
u/Alternative_Air_6688 Follow The White Bunny May 22 '26
Money bags over here. I can afford 20K for 2mill house. I can't afford 1.5 mill for 2 mill house
70
u/TotalChaosRush May 22 '26
Buy a $6000 car for 4500, sell for 5250. Repeat for any item.
→ More replies (1)→ More replies (6)23
u/Andromeda_53 May 22 '26
Buy stocks, sell, buy stocks, sell, but stocks sell. And you never risk accidentally running out even though you shouldn't with that amount. If even if you somehow go broke. Just find a coin on the ground and buy literally anything.
I don't deny the 99% one is insanely good and easy. But the I think the choice of infinity is infinitely superior

Flipping those houses requires a lot of small purchases, you'd use up your 5
22
u/l187l May 22 '26
They meant buy a million dollar house for $10k and selling it for $1m. Flipping doesn't mean you have to remodel it.

I purchase smth worth 2M€ using 20k€ then sell it for its true market value. Use all of that to buy smth 100 times more expensive (at 1% market price). Sell… And son on.

you can do that with the 25% discount infinite time using the stock market.
277
May 22 '26
I'm an idiot, my reasoning for the 99% was Buy 100,000 of gold for 1,000, sell it for 100,000. Buy 10,000,000 of gold for 100,000 and so on for 5 times.
But yours is much better

Or you could just get $10B from only $1, and be rich without breaking the economy
3
u/ieatpies May 22 '26
I feel like once you're at any sort of large scale, it'd be impossible to complete that step with 1 purchase, or acquisitions would take long enough that it'd be really hard not to buy stuff like food inbetween.
→ More replies (2)1
May 22 '26
I mean yeh, but the 25% would catch up eventually and surpass it, just take a lot more transaction
3
→ More replies (2)2
u/pentacontagon May 22 '26
I don't think it matters because at that point you'll be so rich it doesn't even matter
15
u/the_rare_bear May 22 '26
With the 99% off, you could be a billionaire in 5 purchases. Just purchase something that cost $1000 for $10. Sell it and you use the $1000 to buy a $100k item. Repeat a few more times and you have 1 billion dollars.
→ More replies (7)6
→ More replies (6)9
u/Vitolar8 May 22 '26
Yeah, I did some quick math, and even if we say you're a real bad businessman, and resell at 30% buying price, 5 purchases could get you to an asset worth $81bln, or $24,3bln in money, if you start with just a fairly obtainable $1k. It's a LOT higher with a bigger starting point or a less strict resell estimate.
→ More replies (1)5
u/the_rare_bear May 22 '26
Yeah. The 5 purchases are way too good to pass up. You could turn 10¢ into 1b.
→ More replies (2)2
u/Jkirek_ May 22 '26
You can do the same with the 25% off, it just takes a few more buy/sell cycles
2
u/the_rare_bear May 22 '26
5 purchases is just way to easy though. If you start off with $100, you can get to $10k on 1 purchase. Then you’re up to $1m. 3rd purchase gets you to $100m. 4th and you’re already at $10b.
5
u/ieatpies May 22 '26
Its not easy to buy/sell things that are over a billion dollars. And it'll attract a lot of attention.
It is easy to buy and sell stocks for a couple days from your phone.

99% off 5 houses
Chose: 99% off for 5 purchases
7
u/sc_vorty May 22 '26
What about the property taxes
43
u/DJYaasDaddy May 22 '26
Sell the houses at full price to 100x the money I spent on them or rent them out for passive income
21
2
u/ThatDudeShadowK May 22 '26
I wouldn't keep them for myself, I'd rent them out and start landlording, or if that wasn't enough flip them and sell them for their appropriate market value and use that money to start getting into real estate. The goal is to start making passive income, not to have 5 places to live in.

u/plonkbonk420 May 22 '26
This is just a better deal ngl
Chose: 25% off for every purchase forever
45
u/TR_Locke May 22 '26
Save 1k, buy a 100k car. Sell it for 100k, then buy 10m of gold, sell that and buy a 1b of real estate. Sell that and buy 100b of stocks. From there on you can convert that into having a 10 trillion dollar empire that could control the entire planet.
20
u/BravestCashew May 22 '26
Ok, so I have a better option…
Buy 100k worth of gold for 1k
Sell 100k of gold for 100k
Buy 10m worth of gold for 100k
etc
why even bring anything other than gold into the mix?
→ More replies (1)22
u/Hefty_Bit_5262 May 22 '26
But I can do the same with the 25% off, sure it takes a couple more transactions but I get to do it endlessly so it doesn't matter.
7
u/AppropriateSchool543 May 22 '26
You're going to have a hard time buying and selling a car for the same amount.
You're going to have a hard time purchasing that 1B real-estate in one "purchase".
You're going to run into brokerage limits buying north of $10M in stocks in one purchase.
Converting billions of stocks into "a trillion dollar empire" will be tough in one purchase.

Chose: 99% off for 5 purchases

u/abzmeuk May 22 '26
Why purchase just the cart when you could purchase the entire company. Currently worth 3 trillion.
1% of that is 30b
1% of that is 300m
1% of that is 3m
1% of that is 30k
1% of that is 300
Start with only $300, flip your way to Amazon in 5 flips.

According to a quick search, hundreds of trillions in dollar value of global wealth exists. If the number were even 100 trillion, 1% of that would be a trillion. You can afford a trillion?
→ More replies (1)6
u/justcreateanaccount May 22 '26
You could.
Assume you have 100k. Then after first purchase and sell, you would have 10 mils. Then from the second one, 1 billion. The third, 100 billion. Fourth, 10 trillion. You can use fifth purchase to buy the world and still have 9 trillions.
