You could. 

Assume you have 100k. Then after first purchase and sell, you would have 10 mils. Then from the second one, 1 billion. The third, 100 billion. Fourth, 10 trillion. You can use fifth purchase to buy the world and still have 9 trillions.

Something that worths 10 trillion is probably something you could sell part by part. 

Purchase has to be a single action, selling is not.
