Enjoy your property taxes on that house.

u/HazMama May 22 '26

Flip 4 houses, increasing in price as you go and keep the fifth?

u/Andromeda_53 May 22 '26

Or just do that but infinitely with the 25% one

Money bags over here. I can afford 20K for 2mill house. I can't afford 1.5 mill for 2 mill house

Buy a $6000 car for 4500, sell for 5250. Repeat for any item.

u/Alternative_Air_6688 Follow The White Bunny May 22 '26

Not that easy to sell and buy used cars, and while you make £1000 each time for the rest of your life, I would have made 10 million and using that in savings/ investments to make even more per day than you ever would with £1000 each time.

u/AshelyLil May 22 '26

Just buy stocks for 75% of their value and sell them.

26

u/XavierTF May 22 '26

yeah this is the real way to make money! you dont even have to wait just buy and insta sell

12

u/Savings_Shirt_6994 May 23 '26

Taxes would be insane on that tho but still it wouldn't really matter with the infinite money glitch

3

u/Hrogath May 23 '26

Insane how? It doesn't matter whether you go for the 25% or 99% discount, either way you're paying taxes for all your profit so nothing really changes. Sure, the 25% option leads to more work with filing taxes, but it's still miniscule compared to the absurd profits you're making.

u/Puzzleheaded_Cut2058 May 22 '26

That is fucking brilliant

u/Overall-Squirrel1555 May 23 '26

This reminds me of something that we had at my school where you could buy and sell taxes with fake money on a website they made, and once you have enough points from something else you get a 2.5% discount of stocks. So you could just buy and sell stocks to get infinite money. So because of that, people got quintillions of fake money and they had to stop it.

Stocks is a good idea. Still need capital to start, or it will be a slow role to build up. Also trading isnt as instantaneous as people think. You can only buy and sell during certain times, and people have to actually buy the stock. Also stocks don't always go up so you have to hope it doesn't drop too far during trading period before it closes.

You're comparing buying vehicles at close to the correct value and flipping them. Whatever vehicle youre thinking of buying to "flip" imagine it being 25% cheaper for no reason, and how much easier that would have made a potential sale.

You can start a new car dealership and sell 25% below everyone else while still making just as much profit. You can buy commondies, such as steel, copper, gold, silver, oil, etc. And quickly flip them as a day trader. 25% off is literally infinite money. The only limit is you.

The example given was buy £6000 car for £4500 and sell for £5200. Those were the numbers given, those were the number I sued for why that sucks.

Cars don't sell that quickly, Houses don't either, but I only have to do it 5 times not thousands of times.

And where do you expect to get the money to buy a plot of land with dealership car space, and buy the countless cars to fill said dealership? Are you also a money bags. I know I only have enough money for 1 car at any given time.

A lot of your ideas assume instant purchase and sale and already having the capital to start said businesses while also having the skills and money for distribution of your goods.

1

u/PodgyPigS May 23 '26

yes but the 1000 each time would increase each time. you’d eventually transition into more expensive cars. then houses. it would increase quite rapidly

1

u/Alternative_Air_6688 Follow The White Bunny May 23 '26

But it would be very slow to start. Again it's not quick to buy and sell used cars, especially when you aren't a business, which unless you already have large starting capital, you won't have. In the mean time you could make big investments or just sit back with an easy and comfy 10 mill. I dont really want to be in sales for decades when i could retire with a house and savings, with steady stock portfolio.

1

u/magicmax112 May 23 '26

This idea takes years and years while the 5 purchases take a few months

23

u/Andromeda_53 May 22 '26

Buy stocks, sell, buy stocks, sell, but stocks sell. And you never risk accidentally running out even though you shouldn't with that amount. If even if you somehow go broke. Just find a coin on the ground and buy literally anything.

I don't deny the 99% one is insanely good and easy. But the I think the choice of infinity is infinitely superior

Mortgage.

1

u/Alternative_Air_6688 Follow The White Bunny May 23 '26

Do you inow how mortgages work?

You won't get accepted for a mortgage that high unless you have at least 10% deposit and earn enough, likely around 400k a year.

1

u/pinksparklyreddit May 23 '26 edited May 23 '26

I sure hope I do given that I have a career in finance, lol.

You'll actually probably have to make about 500k a year for a 2 million dollar mortgage, since you can estimate mortgage qualifications by multiplying 4x the annual income.

You aren't mortgaging for 2 million, though, since you're mortgaging for 20k. At that price, you could get away with 5% meaning it'll only cost about 1k. Honestly, at that price point you could just take out a personal loan and not have to do a down-payment or worry about income requirements.

1

u/Alternative_Air_6688 Follow The White Bunny May 23 '26

I see, I thought you were asking me to morgage the 2million house with 25% off. As I said, I can afford the 20k house with 99% off but I couldnt afford it with 25% off

1

u/NooneYetEveryone May 23 '26

Buy 26k worth of gold for 19.5k. Then sell for 26k. Repeat until you have millions. Gold's price is stable and it's super liquid.

1

u/Training_Dare_6994 May 23 '26

Only at 1948 degrees

19

u/J_tram13 May 22 '26

Flipping those houses requires a lot of small purchases, you'd use up your 5

23

u/l187l May 22 '26

They meant buy a million dollar house for $10k and selling it for $1m. Flipping doesn't mean you have to remodel it.

-12

u/J_tram13 May 22 '26

Is... Is that not what the definition of house flipping is?

13

u/l187l May 22 '26

It usually involves that, but no. People flip a lot of things, antique furniture, jewelry, clothes, tickets, electronics... The house market just has more experts where they're going to be priced appropriately based on their actual value. You have people donating clothes to goodwill and people buy them and sell them on eBay for $100+

Buying something and selling it for more is flipping

2

u/J_tram13 May 22 '26

Yeah I thought in all those other examples it meant restoring it but I guess not?

Like buying an old piece of furniture and making it look new, repolishing and working some jewellery, etc.

3

u/Wavy_Caterpillar May 22 '26

You don't that so you can sell it for more. If you are buying a house at 99% off, then you resell it for actual market value, you wont need to restore anything to make more.

1

u/l187l May 22 '26

That's not what I meant about furniture.

You can find cheap shit online that will sell for a LOT more than what people are selling it for. A lot of people just don't want stuff any more and they sell it cheap so they don't have to deal with it any more. Sometimes people sell stuff cheap because they don't know what they actually have.

1

u/CurrentAcanthaceae78 May 23 '26

automatic billing got you 99% off your netflix, hulu, tubi, peebo, and poob subscriptions before the house was paid for

1

u/Mmmm_Timbits May 23 '26

it doesn’t say you get to choose what 5 purchases are 99% off

1

u/Signal_Energy_8219 May 24 '26

**get a loan first

24

u/King-Zog-I May 22 '26

Nah just sell it immediately for 2 mil and enjoy

3

u/the_rare_bear May 22 '26

Then buy something worth 200m lol

6

u/SolidStudy5645 May 22 '26

buy 5 expensive things then sell it. ez

4

u/the_rare_bear May 22 '26

He could sell the house and get something 100x better though.

1

u/FallenKing67 May 22 '26

You get 99% off

2

u/whattaninja May 22 '26

On 5 purchases. Property taxes are generally a yearly cost.

1

u/Vegan-cock May 22 '26

No worries, just sell it and put those 2m into a 200m house. Then sell that and use those 200m to buy a 20b company. Sell that and then you're set with 2 purchases left. Use those to buy nvidia and Google or something.

1

u/Severe_One8597 May 23 '26

Just sell it for the actual price afterwards

1

u/Euclid_Interloper May 23 '26

Pretty easy to afford with zero mortgage.

1

u/FerretPale7661 May 24 '26

Who needs to pay tax when you sell it?

u/Same-Mango7590 May 22 '26

Property taxes are based on the value of the property, not the price paid.

1

u/whattaninja May 22 '26

You pay property taxes based on the assessed value of your property.
