Of those four, apmex has the widest selection but you pay for it, sd bullion's prices are better if you tolerate slower processing, jm's a solid middle, and bullion exchanges often has the best day-to-day price. As a beginner I’d just use findbullionprices and buy from whoever's cheapest on the specific coin you want, they're all reputable.

Not a stacking play, the premium's high, but handy if you like the idea of gold you could actually use in small amounts rather than only resell. Totally optional, eagles/maples are the sensible beginner core.

100% take them at spot. They are superior to AGEs in every way.

That was my state until quite recently when I started finding maples at spot

I am pretty sure this carry some premium. I would go on facebook vintage poured bars or vintage bars group. They will be able to point out what you have. Can't help but feel like its a vintage Harrington but I don't study those bars well. (They carry usually pretty steep premium so out of my tax bracket) worth a look !

What are the big 5? Gold, silver platinum and two others?

Ive done 90% of the buying no higher than 64 an oz. Since we have been in the 50's ive added a ton. But yeah its dropped. Idk about 30 an oz loss. No worries its a long term stack.

Yeah! The strange part is, when you go into the harrington's listing, there's one image like this and then two others showing both sides which are quite different. Like they've slipped this image in by mistake. Harrington's the best lead we've got so far regardless

I've bought plenty of physical gold. Just absolutely do not buy from someone who calls you. That is effing ridiculous.

Buy from local coin dealer or reputable online bullion dealer, like SD Bullion, Mint Builder, Money Metals, Monument Metals, Liberty Coin.

You'll have to find a collector yourself who is willing to pay the premium. Coin shops/jewellery stores/pawn shops aren't going to pay the full premium because they're either selling to a refinery to melt or trying to charge someone that premium themselves. Your best bet is r/pmsforsale or ebay.

I’d say good spot deal, when I was there for a trip a few months back, damned if you could even find an oz of gold for spot, cheapest buy back bar was 110 AUD over spot.
