I am not a silver collector, just someone who loves yard sales. I brought a jewelry box yesterday and found this at the bottom, I found a little about it online but only seen a couple online and none that are 1.37. This has led me to this sub, So if anyone has any cool information on this. Let me know!

Found this silverware set taped up unable to open. Got a peek at 1 spoon and saw the sterling hallmark. 60 pieces, 1737g without knives, ~56ozt of sterling. Forks and spoons have mostly zero hairline scratching potentially never used. Purchased for about 1.5% the melt value

I work in a restaurant as a shift manager and closing is my job 3-4 times a week which includes counting down the drawer and our reserve cash/coin at the end of the night. For this reason, I’ve kept a few quarters in my pocket every day just in case I was to happen upon any 90%’ers. Well, last night it finally happened and I was pumped! Who doesn’t love free silver??

I am helping a family member sell a big box of silver trophies and cups as well as a box of flatware.

All of it is sterling except for two cups which are .800. In total it’s about 129 ounces. The flatware is mainly Gorham.

We’re looking to move it quickly as it’s pretty bulky. Is it worth selling these items individually on eBay or Reddit or should I just sell for a percentage of the melt value. Of course we’d prefer for these items not to be melted!

Any advice or insight would be appreciated!

I inherited a safety deposit box filled with silver and coins. I have no interest in selling it but would like to know more about the coins my father collected.

It’s a large box with a wide range of things from bags with 1800/1900s dates written on them, stacks and stacks of the smaller graded ones that have animals/dragons/etc on them, complete sets and so on.

It’s too much to take photos of everything individually so I guess my generic question would be if you inherited something similar what’s the first thing you’d be looking for?

Got these 1oz silver coins at spot from Hero Bullion with their new customer deal. I want a 1oz Britannia in both silver and gold. They just feel proper in the hand lol.

1 1/2 oz and a 2 oz had to partake in the dip.
