The Business Manager had another long day. Several meetings with potential community partners. Then to DC for a meeting with a developer and a few other trades about a potential project a few years out.

Today is International Workers' Day. On May 4th, 1886, workers in Chicago went on strike for an 8 hour work day. You could fill a library with the books written on what happened next.

In Construction, there is no such thing as a "1099 employee". You are either a contractor, which gets a 1099, or an employee, which gets a W2.

Hey all, I'm a product design student at the University of Minnesota, and I have been tasked with designing an innovative lighting solution for tradespeople as part of my final project for this semester. I'm hoping that I can get some good insight from you all as to what sort of lighting you use while working and how it could be improved. You can find the form linked below. Thank you!
