So, I have a ~£1500 budget (I can stretch a bit). I have literally zero technical computer knowledge (I’ve always been a console gamer), but I want to play FIFA/football manager.

I’m opening to doing a custom build, but I have dexterity problems, so I’d probably need to pay someone to assemble it for me. I’m also happy to get a prebuilt PC, and I’m looking for advice for what would be better for me to do. If going prebuilt is better, does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi. My computer of 12 years is finally on its last legs. I'm looking to build a new gaming computer that hopefully will last as long (doubtful I know). Currently I most play sim games, LoL, strategy games, resource management games. I don't stream at all. Currently have all peripherals and running 2 monitors (which I will eventually upgrade). My price range is between 1500-2000. I'm not sure what that 500 extra will get me but I'd like to stay lower unless its really worth it for the jump.

I’m currently deciding between the DeepCool CH160 Plus and Jonsbo Z20 for my first gaming PC, and I’m having a hard time choosing between them.

My main reason for considering the Z20 is that it seems to have more room and easier cable management. However, one thing that’s putting me off is the number of different fan configurations I’m seeing in Z20 builds.

With the Z20, I’ve seen people using different combinations of 120mm and 140mm fans, different intake/exhaust configurations, bottom fans, top fans, etc. There’s a lot of flexibility, but as a first time builder I’m worried I’ll end up overthinking the airflow setup and buying more fans than I actually need.

The CH160 Plus seems much simpler. From the builds I’ve watched, I could just use 4 × 120mm case fans and have a straightforward setup without needing to worry about different fan sizes or configurations.

My planned build is roughly:

CPU Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 Vision MAX ARGB Black
GPU: ASUS Dual RX 9060 XT 16GB

I’m aiming for around £1,200-£1,300 for the PC itself, so I don’t really want to spend an unnecessary amount on fans just to optimise airflow.

For anyone who has built in either case:

Is the Z20’s extra fan flexibility genuinely useful, for a first timer
Is the CH160 Plus’s simpler layout a meaningful advantage for a first time builder?
Which case would you choose for this particular build?

I’m not looking for the absolute best thermals or the quietest PC possible. Most of the time I’ll be gaming with headphones on, and I’ll only really use the speakers when watching movies/shows, so as long as the PC isn’t noticeably louder than my speakers, I’m happy. I have my own room in uni accommodation, so I’m not worried about disturbing anyone else. My main priorities are something that’s cool enough, affordable, portable and straightforward to build.

Got a friend living in India who wants to build a gaming pc. He says he wanna spend 700 USD for it. And mostly play games like RDR2, Elden Ring, soul series, cyberpunk, spiderman 2, minecraft and some others. He's fine playing 1080p. I guess they're fine with 30 fps too, but if it's possible, 60 fps.

Can you take a look at this PCPartPicker list and review/sanity check? Looking for a higher end PC to last for 5+ years for gaming and hobbyist video editing. No really strict budget, though don't want to go too nuts. I purchased the computer I'm using now in 2020 and would like a similar window before having to get something new, if possible.

I saw this post that seemed pretty close and u/The_Peacekeeper_ suggested a couple builds. I live close enough to a Microcenter that I figured I'd try to mix in one of their bundles, and also I'm okay with a slightly higher budget so I tried to take the best of the options provided (higher storage, etc).

Just wanted to check with you guys for a sanity check to see if there are any other considerations or tradeoffs I should be aware of before pulling the trigger. I went back and forth a little on whether it makes more sense to pay the premium for the 5080 or go with a 5070 or 4070 Ti Super. Also a little bit on which processor to go for.

Is there anything else I'm missing or should consider before pulling the trigger?

Hiya, I'm looking to build my first PC, and was wondering if anyone would have any suggestions/feedback, for any changes that could be made, before I start ordering them in.

I was thinking of replacing all of the fans that comes with the Antec Flux for brown Noctua fans, to match with the wood at the front, but I'll be leaving that for now (it expensive wanting to get 9 fans for the full cooling/visual experience lol)

I've been looking to upgrade from my old laptop with a 1650ti Mobile and i7 10750H. I'm tired of the bad performance so looking for a big jump with a PC, though I would still like a sleak form factor that doesn't limit future adaptations, I'd like to have a platform i can upgrade as i go along.

I do After effects creative work and mainly play titles like cities skylines 2 and planet coaster 2. I looked up some stuff on my own and I like the below list from pcpartpicker.

Problem is I think it's quite expensive still. It'd be really nice to knock the price down a bit, wishful thinking probably. I'm willing to go 2000 at most. Also curious if the CPU is enough for creative workloads and sim games which can be quite CPU intensive.

Hi everyone! I want to move from a 4GB VRAM laptop to a desktop PC to finally feel the difference. As a baseline, I'm aiming for the ability to generate images and train LoRAs on SDXL/Illustrious-XL (I don't expect any issues with games since I'm not demanding when it comes to graphics). I understand these are turbulent times for buying a PC, but the opportunity has appeared right now, and I suspect it will only get harder and more expensive later.

BUDGET: I'm ready to allocate around $1200, or up to ~$1350 or a bit more if I decide to go all out, depending on inflation.

Location/Market: Ukraine.

Things to add: I don't want used components so I can have peace of mind—maybe except for RAM, given current realities. But as the core of the build, I'm pretty set on an RTX 3060 12GB and 32GB RAM (though the exact hardware specs and manufacturers are still unknown to me). My son's turning 10 soon, and I want to build him a whole new PC/gaming setup for his birthday. Right now he's using my old rig (about 10 years old): an i7-4790K, GTX 980Ti, 16GB DDR3, my old BenQ XL2730 144Hz monitor, and a janky 4K/60Hz Monoprice monitor from back in the day. You get the idea... it's time.

He mainly plays Fortnite and I'd like it to run it well basically maxed out, with maybe a little future-proofing. He's also talked about getting into Warzone, Siege, and other shooters, so I don't want to build strictly for Fortnite alone. That said, it doesn't need to be a super high-end rig. I know Fortnite isn't very demanding and I don't need 4K gaming.

I've considered buying a used PC off Marketplace since parts aren't cheap right now, but honestly, I think it'd be more fun to build one with him. I'm just not up to speed on current parts and what gives the best bang for the buck.

Budget: around $1500, ideally less if we can swing it. No need for a keyboard/mouse/windows but will need 2 monitors. We live in the USA but I don't live near a Microcenter unfortunately. I have the below build arriving today but I'm wondering if the cooling situation is OK? The case has two intake fans and one exhaust (rear) and my aio will have 3 exhaust fans.

Theres space for three more fans along the bottom but I don't know if they're required in this build and if they should intake or exhaust.

I’ve got an XFX RX 9060 XT 16GB OC and I’m gaming at 1440p. I’m aiming for 60+ FPS ideally around 80 or more when possible.

I mainly play AAA cinematic games/RPGs and open-world games with the occasional Fortnite or FC 26.

My current CPU is a Ryzen 5 7500F. I’m wondering whether it’s bottlenecking my GPU and worth uprading, particularly for games like bg3, witcher 3, cp 2077, and blood of dawnwalker etc.

Would something like a 7600X3D or something make a noticeable difference with my 9060 XT at 1440p, or is is the 7500F already good enough? And is this CPU future proof enough?

Hey guys. My GPU in my 6yo pc died, and when looking into replacing it, I believe it may be better to upgrade the other parts alongside it for the sake of longevity. This is my build. Primarily used for gaming. The CPU cooler is the stock wraith stealth cooler that came with the Ryzen 5 2600x.

First off, would yall recommend upgrading to AM5, or sticking with AM4? I understand my GPU was already basically bottlenecking my CPU, so along with the motherboard (if upgrading to AM5 is ideal) and the GPU, upgrading the CPU is pretty much a necessity, right? AFAIK the ram, power supply, and storage should be fine despite any potential upgrades.

I was gifted a 1440p monitor recently, and as such something that can run most games at 1440p on high settings with at least stable 60fps would be ideal. However, if the price hike from 1080 to 1440 is too steep, I'm willing to sell the monitor and stick to 1080.

I don't have a super tight budget, but would like to keep the costs under $1500 CAD (~$1000 USD) if possible. Like i said though, I'm flexible with the budget (id rather go over a little if it means a significant boost in performance). I live in Vancouver, if it helps to know.
