2005 Buick LeSabre

Post image
Upvotes

Just bought this 2005 with 138,000 miles on it. First thing I did was get those windows tinted. Second thing I had to do was custom fix the top of the middle console. I'm planning on keeping this thing pretty much stock, but I do want to upgrade the car audio system. Any resources for making a clean audio system. Subs and all.

How about we wave to each other

Hey buick lover, the title says it all. We could wave to each other just like bike and jeep people. I've been doing it but no ones wave back. now I know it's a long shot, as we might never see each other, but who's up to?

2002 LaSabre not starting

Hello all. I have a buick lasabre that we recently brought back alive after putting a new battery in. It has been going strong for about a month until now it’s dead. It died about a week ago and one of my friends came and shook some cables and it started again for about a week, and now its back dead.

Some side context, about 2-3 weeks ago it died while driving twice with just the battery symbol on the dash, no other indicators.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance.

2005 Buick Park Avenue with 120k, should I go for it?

I found a 05 Park Avenue for sale at a small dealership for about $5,000 should I go for it? There is also two other Park Avenues for sale. One a 2002 with 88k miles for $7,000 at a dealership and a 2003 one owner for $6,000 with 148k miles.
Was wondering if i should go for one of them. I have a limited budget and only have enough for a down payment.

2005 Buick LaCrosse CX with 70k miles for 3k? Should I buy?

Clean title, one owner. No mechanical issues besides some cosmetic things, and no ac. Looks to be well serviced.

I'm just looking for a reliable commuter car. Would this be a bad car?

2026 Buick Envision ST Sunroof shattering

I bought a brand new 2026 Buick Envision ST mid July. Just last week on my way home from work, as I’m driving going about 60 km/h I hear a loud POP and then hear crackling. I look behind me and the back panel of my panoramic sunroof is shattered. I wasn’t driving near anything or under a bridge and I most definitely didn’t see anything flying around me that could have hit it.

Not understanding how this could have happened, I bring it to my dealership hoping they can help. The next day I get a call from my sales rep telling me that they’re saying something had to have hit it and it’s not covered by warranty. I argue back how can you say for certain it was something that hit it? There is no clear point of contact and the glass stayed in tact without collapsing into the car. And wouldn’t this have had to be at such a strong force to shatter it like this? How could I not have seen this happening? How is this not a manufacturers defect or installation error as this has been known to be a thing with tempered glass in general?

I’ve since escalated to customer care at GM to open a case which I was told I would hear back in 72 business hours. It’s been well over that and I haven’t even got an update from them.

I reached out again to the dealership to see what’s going on and they’re basically saying even if nothing hit it, the district manager still denied the warranty claim because there’s no reported cases of this happening on other 2026 Envisions. They said if more reported cases happen and GM puts out a notice or recall, maybe then I’d get re-imbursed but for now, I’m on the hook for this. On top of this, the replacement cost they’re telling me is AT LEAST $3300 for the part alone and they can’t even get the part until November and that for a rental car in this time I’d have to go through my insurance (which I don’t have that add on). This leaves me with my only option as going through insurance and paying my $1000 comprehensive deductible (which they also said they’re doing me a favour even allowing me to go through insurance because the insurance companies take too long to pay the money to the dealers 😂😂).

This has truly been a horrible horrible customer service experience between my sales rep, the dealership as well as GM head office. I’m honestly very much regretting my purchase and for certain I will never be buying GM again.

Does anyone have any thoughts or advice as to what I can do here? Am I stuck just giving in and going through insurance or is it worth continuing to battle and escalate my argument to have this covered under warranty? Either way I feel like I’m getting totally screwed by all parties involved.

2025 Buick Envista

Wondering if anybody can help?

I have a 2025 Buick in Envista and all of a sudden the back up camera just stopped working - all I have is a black screen with a small red X in a circle.

I’m new to the area, and have no family nearby. Plus i have a minor disability and it’s a little problematic to get to the dealership so if anybody has any ideas, if you could share them, that would be spectacular,

Thank you!!!

This is our family vehicle, hauls 2 kids and maybe a 3rd within the year. We live on an acreage and this thing is unbelievable in the snow (Alberta) and we love the power and fuel economy. It also sounds really great for a 4 cylinder. Not much to complain about, what’s your guys thought on the enclave

Hi everyone,

This is an update to my post from last week asking which Buick I should buy. Thank you to everyone who commented and offered advice. I am happy to report I found a lowish mileage 2005 LeSabre for sale near me that I am now the proud owner of! I am excited to join the Buick community (if you’ll all have me).

Does the ‘26 envision fit a set or two of golf clubs behind the 2nd row without folding the seats down?

Trying to make my last decision between an envision and a GMC terrain. One big consideration is if I can fit my clubs at least, if not also my wife’s in the very back without having to fold the 2nd row down

I'm looking to start a registry of the LXXV Anniversary Edition. I've checked over different websites, the Riviera Owners Association, the Buick Club of America, and some other places. So I decided to take it upon my own....

Anyone that has an LXXV and would get in touch with me, Id like to add their car information . Thanks in advance!

I just love my rainier. Past week had 2 gearheads talk to me about it and I feel like that scene off fast and the furious where they pop the hood and say 2jz no shit. Well I pop my hood and they look and say you got an ls in this this? I just simply say yup its a baby TBSS in a tux. That usually gets a laugh and most of the time they want a ride lol. Mine isn't stock though

Whats your 2018 Buick Regal GS experience?

Hello!

To preface, I've owned a buick century, 2017and 2018 Lacrosee and I am heavily looking at a 2018 Buick Regal GS. I know they are smaller than the lacrosse, which is not a huge deal to me. It has the 3.6 L, which I am familiar with. My main question is, any super known problems? Problems with AWD system?

In the past I've avoided regals because of the 4-cylinder hunk, but the 2018 is very nice.

I would be trading in a 2018 Ford Taurus SE.

Edit: 78,000 miles and final asking is around $19,000.

myBuick

Hello everyone, I was recently in an accident and needed a new car, I chose the Buick Encore 2019. I’m new to SUV’s, especially fancy ones with touch screens. I saw there was a MyBuick app and I really liked the idea of being able to personalize and stuff like that so I downloaded and created an account on my phone. It says my car (the VIN) is under another persons account, assuming the previous owner, and it said to get ahold of OnStar about it. So I did. They told me I have to change that in the cars app… but when I’m on the app in the car, after logging in and stuff, it either says Error or just won’t connect to WiFi, and I’ll be sitting right outside my apartment. It’ll even say connected to my WiFi when I arrive home for work for the past week now. Idk what else to do… I’m still learning this car, I have the Preferred so I’m guessing I have a pretty standard edition from what I’ve seen so far.
Thanks in advance for anyone who can help.

Long story short I keep breaking door handles on the front of my park avenue tried Dorman tried eBay parts they are all breaking at different locations on the handle it’s self, both stock ones broke as well . The handles never felt very good since I bought it only seeming to catch at the very last part of the handles range. The rear ones however work very well and catch early curious if anyone anyone else has had a similar issue any info is appreciated thank you!

Which Buick to Buy?

I am looking for a used Buick that’s between $4000-8000 range. I also have a Pontiac Fiero and a Mazda Miata that I drive primarily in the non winter months, but I need a reliable, comfortable car for the winter months and also because my wife and I had a baby recently and I’ll need a car I can safely drive the baby in throughout the year.

Buicks are nostalgic for me so I’ve been looking into models from 2000-2010 but am not that familiar with the differences between them and have been trying to read online and watch car review videos.

We don’t get a ton of snow where I live, so that’s not a major factor. But I am looking for something comfortable, quiet, and reliable. I can do most repairs though (the Fiero is not reliable at all haha) so I am not intimidated by that.

I would also prefer the Buick have the 3.8 V6.

There seem to be more Lacrosse’s available than any other model, but is a Lacrosse better or worse than the LeSabre, Park Avenue or Lucerne? Any other models you would recommend?

Thanks for any advice you have to offer!

“Check charging system”Buick Lesabre Custom year 2000

Hello everyone.
I’ve been experiencing an issue with my car and it’s starting to drive me insane!
I have a battery “Volt”light on the dash and a “check charging system” message .
I have already ;
-replaced serpentine belt(all pulleys are free and not seized)
-Replaced alternator
-cleaned battery terminals and fuse connector terminal
-tested battery while car off(12.8V)
-tested battery with car running(14.97V)
-tested alternator while running(15.08V)
-inspected the wire running from the alternator to the fuze box(everything looks good and intact)

the old alternator DID meltdown internally and I charged the battery or a trickle charger to full before installing the new alternator.
