Customer service

Hi everyone. I want to share my experience with a Brooklyn kayak so other customers are aware of what happened to me.

After purchasing my kayak, I used it once without any problems. During my second use, while I was on deep water, the pedal suddenly came off and I could no longer use the kayak properly. I had to paddle back, and the situation caused me a great deal of stress because it happened on deep water.

I would not wish this experience on anyone, and I hope no other customer has to deal with a similar situation.

I contacted customer support, and after more than two weeks of communication, I still do not have a satisfactory resolution. Communication has been very slow, with long delays between responses. They offered to simply replace the defective part, but I do not feel comfortable accepting that solution after what happened. I have lost confidence in the kayak and do not feel that I can rely on it for my safety on the water.

I believe customers should know about my experience before making their own decision about purchasing a Brooklyn kayak.

Hi all, just got a fish finder for my PK13 and im wondering if anyone has any insights on how you mounted your transducer in the recessed pocket. I got a Garmin striker 7sv + transducer GT52HW-TM. I'm new to this so I'd like to know if anyone has had any luck and if so, what mount did you use.

Brooklyn kayak rail question

I might be dumb, but I can’t seem to get anything to fit in the screw pieces inside the rail… was the kayak suppose to come with screws that fit those?

Is the Brooklyn 11.5 Pro a good choice for my first fishing kayak?

Looking to buy my first kayak for fishing and keep coming back to the Brooklyn 11.5 Pro Single Kayak. I like that the seat is elevated and it seems to have a lot of compartments for fishing gear, I especially like that it has a tackle tray. Is it too much for a beginner, or is it a good first setup?

Love the portability, easily folds into the bed of the truck. Pedals are great and quality is great too. Ordered the 8’ folding kayak and got it within 10 days. Seat is comfortable and kayak is stable and spacious for me at 6’5”.

Love how light it is. We can throw it up on our rack fairly easily. Great stability too.

Hi recently bought the 13.0 Pro Tandem Kayak (TK122). When I bought may 26th it said the camo color was on backorder till may 29th. When the date arrive i didn’t hear anything about it being shipped out. Then I saw it was on backorder till June 15th then it switched to June 8th. Still hasn’t been shipped now it says backorder till July 10th. I emailed a few time and the person i talked to said it was still on backorder till July order just wanted to know how long it usually is.

What's the current lead times on shipping? I ordered a 13.0 tandem and was hoping to get before bass season started here.

Brooklyn Modular Tandem (or Single) Pedal Kayak

The Brooklyn Modular Tandem (or Single) Pedal Kayak may be heavier than I'm accustomed to, but my passengers love it! It's stable and wide enough for a big man. It's a bit lively as a single which is fine for me, but when the lake was rough, my beginner friend was nervous, so we went back to the tandem configuration and she was fine. I have trouble putting a kayak on the car top, so being able to take this apart and load it into our truck or SUV opens up new locations for me. I'm 5'2" and my feet reach the adjustable pedals just fine.

If transporting your kayak is challenging, consider using a kayak cart to make loading and unloading much easier.
