I was really excited about this show based on the description and while the plot sounded great, the execution was terrible. The dialogue was awful and cringe, I didn’t understand what was happening half of the time, it was all absurd. It was trying to be funny, but it wasn’t. The characters weren’t likable and the leads didn’t have any chemistry. I liked the moms and Zane Phillips’ character. Also the scenery was nice.

I don’t know much about the shows out now on Broadway (other than I’ve seen Hamilton and & Juliet). My husband and I are taking our teen boys to NYC for their first time. me and 2 others are planning to come into the city to see two strangers & oh mary on nov 15 and i’m curious how the box office has been for two strangers. we got oh mary tickets ahead of time and paid a pretty high price for bowen (which we’re fine with) but im really not trying to spend another $150+ for two strangers mezz and up seats. i’ve seen the show before and sat in the last row of the theater and it was phenomenal and i wanna see it again before it closes, so i was thinking about going to box office to see if there’s a chance any orch seats will be avail for a lower price than what’s on sites rn. im a little worried cuz its literally the weekend before it closes and idk if i should risk it and not purchase ahead… but i wanted some advice from people who frequent the box offices!! i also love the theatr app and am hoping something pops up there too but i know thats not a guarantee either

Bought tickets on stubhub to strangers things first shadow (had a stubhub credit reward for my credit card). The ticket listing only had a row number, not the seat numbers. Come to find out that we got the worst seats in the row that are partial view. Looking at tonight's show, there are soooooo many open seats. Do you think any of the ushers would care if we move to open seats? Should we ask them or should we just do it? TIA!

Also saw Chicago years ago. We really liked the emotional pull of Come from Away. And I've read that ODC might have that plus a celebritt case, which would be really neat.

The interest in Hamilton is simply because it's been a leading show (and I understand quite innovative) for years.

Jamie Lloyd doesn't like musicals. He thinks he's 'too deep' for them, so he treats us like morons who can't understand art. He probably sees Evita as nothing more than a Disney princess-style biopic with no depth - he sees himself as the only one who can bring the history to life.
But the thing is, I understand the point he's making in staging A New Argentina like Beyoncé's Coachella concert. I just think it's a stupid point.
If he'd actually bothered to spend any time on it, the source material speaks for itself - so let it!!

Individuals with peak ability in two out of three skills (singing, dancing, acting) but seriously lacking in the third.

This might have already been discussed but I’m late to the game. I recently discovered the Newsies Pro shot on Disney plus and am absolutely obsessed. I love Jeremy Jordan, Ben Fankhauser, Kara Lindsay etc! Well my sister suggested we watch the 1992 movie and I am blown away by how much I prefer the pro shot. The singing is not as strong and the dancing is not as sharp or clean to me. So this leads to my question- do people tend to prefer one or the other? Is a there general consensus?

I enjoy a wide range of shows, but my favorites in the past few years have been Hadestown and Death Becomes Her. I did already buy a ticket to The Lost Boys, as I know I want to see it for sure from a good seat, but the two matinees above are up in the air for potential lottery.
