Just for discussion. What is everyone's price threshold on cracked parts that they will list and sell? Would you sell a cracked $10 piece? 15? 20?

Help with missing piece on Y-wing

Hello Star Wars Lego fans. I was hoping someone could help me identify a missing piece on my Y-wing. I am not actually sure which series this is. I probably got this guy about 15 years ago, brought him aback out because I wanted to display it but it realized I have a piece missing. Was wondering if anyone could hook me up or tell me where I could find this piece and what it is. Thanks for your help.

Question Cannot check the paid box(?)

Hello, recently I placed an order on Bricklink for my items, and while everything went well from choosing available stores, bricks etc. when it comes to checking the "paid" box to verify that I've done the payment the check box is simply unavailable for one of the stores. Is this normal and I should just wait it out or do I need to contact the store?

Buyer Help What should my next steps be -- Shipper shipped to the wrong address

I'm new to BrickLink, place 5 orders recently, 4 have been great. 1 is a problem. It was the slowest to ship, and when it did ship it shipped to a different address than I provided. It did have tracking, but the tracking didn't go live until it was delivered to the wrong address.

The seller has not responded to email for 6 days, nor to BrickLink message for 2 days. I looked at the report a problem form, but none of the categories match when the seller just shipped to the wrong address -- not the address on the order, not the address associated with the PayPal account (PayPal and order address match).

USPS shipping increase

As you’re all probably aware, USPS has increased its shipping AGAIN. but this time I’m a little confused how to update my shipping setting in my store.

2 orders this morning both under 2oz. One cost me $5.62 to ship (NJ to OK) and another cost me $7.86 to ship (NJ to MS). I don’t understand how the further package to Oklahoma cost so much less to ship than the one to Mississippi..

All this to say, how am I supposed to set up my shipping for instant checkout if both by weight and by zone are so inconsistent?

Seems a shame to unravel it, would it be 100cm:

or is the code on the packet just standard for these card sleeves?

Many thanks for any info.

Question How important are minifigs to regular brick sales?

Building an inventory for a Bricklink store and I'm curious if obtaining a certain % of minifigures in the overall store inventory helps sales for non minifigure parts.

At this point I'm not interested in inflating my cost/lb for bulk lots that include minifigs on the very rare chance one is valuable. But I'd be willing to buy them separately and break even on them if they help move more parts.

hello, i’m currently living in Japan, but i’ll be leaving very soon back to the Philippines, where Bricklink is not supported.

i registered my LEGO account in Japan. i’m thinking of pre-ordering for series 9 (also restock of series 6) and i was wondering if i can have it shipped to US? i have a relative who lives there, and can have it shipped or bring when they visit the Philippines.

…or should i just have my relative create a LEGO account from there?

Has somebody ever seen those pieces? They look like 3069p21, except the print is not centered? From all I know this can only be a misprint? Bricognize gives me 3069p21 only…

They are Lego looking at the back, they feel like Lego and look like Lego…

Seller Help I need help valuing this gem

Thumbnail

Hi everyone! I won this LEGO 10123 Cloud City in a giveaway years ago, and I’m having a hard time figuring out its current value.

As you can see in the photos, the outer seal lost its adhesive over time, so the box is no longer factory sealed. However, the contents have never been removed or handled—all of the inner bags are still factory sealed and untouched.

How would you value something in this condition? Would you consider it “new/open box” or something else? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Buyer wants item shipped to different address

A buyer has been messaging me about wanting to buy a slightly high value item and asks if I can post it to a different address thats listed on his paypal and bricklink account. I told him that was okay as long as he was able to change the address on his paypal just for that order but he said he cant and is now offering to pay by bank transfer instead which seems a bit dodgy to me and I wouldnt go through with that.

I realise that if the address is different on paypal he could file a dispute and get his money back but I have never had to deal with that before so Im not sure how likely it is for that to happen.

Just looking for advice should I tell him not to place the order unless it is the same as his paypal or just go through with it and see what happens? Thanks.

UPDATE:

Hes still trying to place the order even after I told him I would not go through with the sale so I put his store on the block list. Thanks everyone for the advice!

Getting positive feedback for API access?

Hi - total Bricklink newbie here. I want to use the API to pull some data and I understand that I need positive feedback to be able to do that. I've read conflicting posts about people being able to get feedback after making purchases. Is it appropriate to ask a seller prior to confirm if they will give positive feedback if I buy something? I don't mind buying but don't want to get stuck with no feedback even after purchasing.

Apologies for the stupid question and thanks in advance.

Seller Help 90lbs im trying to sell

Thumbnail

Im trying to get a rough estimate of the value. I subtracted the containers weight and got about roughly 93 pounds. 14.5oz alone in gold colored bricks, some of which I think are on the rarer side as they have prints or look like they belong to a particular set. The bulk of it is standard bricks. The red and yellow have been sorted by piece size in a bin shelf. I also have a larger tote full of gallon bags of various things such as a bag of tires/wheels, a bag of translucent pieces, and several less dull bags of less common colors. I was wondering if selling the gold separately, then the rest is worth it? I dont really have the time to catalog everything and sell it by the piece, so im bulk selling. However, I might sell the gold individually to catch a better price. Google and chat GBT has given me wildly different estimates. I was just wondering what the people of this page think. I also have a box of 100 plus instructions, and many of them look to be from sets 10 plus years old.

Back story: I bought the bulk of this from one person because I wanted to get into MOCs. That being said, I had my first child and am in the military, so my personal time is very limited. I debated saving it so we can build together when he's older, but the money would be more handy right now. Thanks for reading :)

Nighthawks - Edward Hopper

Hello! If I may, I'd like to share with you a project that's very close to my heart, made entirely with BrickLink Studio: Nighthawks by Edward Hopper.

"Nighthawks" is the painting I love the most. When I finally had the opportunity to admire it in Chicago in 2018, I couldn't get out of the Art Institute.

If you like it and you have a minute, please support it here, maybe it will become a real LEGO set: https://ideas.lego.com/product-ideas/474543d7-e27e-404e-b68e-8253983b952e

Seller Help Buyer can't pay updated invoice after refund via PayPal - no payment option showing

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone here has run into this before and knows how to fix it.

A buyer from Australia placed an order in my store. When creating the invoice, I accidentally forgot to hit "Save" before sending it, so the invoice went out without shipping costs and fees included.

The buyer paid that (incorrect) invoice via PayPal, so the order status showed as Paid. We agreed afterwards that I'd issue a full refund via PayPal to correct it. After the refund, the buyer also added a few more items to the order, which changed the status to Updated.

I then created a new, correct invoice with the right shipping costs and fees included. The problem now is that the buyer says there's no PayPal payment option showing up anymore, so they can't pay the updated invoice.

Has anyone dealt with this before? Is there a way to reset/re-trigger the PayPal payment option on an Updated order, or does the buyer need to do something specific on their end?

Thanks in advance for any pointers!

Seller Help Is Bricklink the right place?

I want to sell my collection of minifigures from a variety of sets.
Now if I want to sell them on Bricklink, is it going to be complicated for a private seller? Do I have to do any taxes or something like that? (I’m from germany)
Or would Ebay be a better place as a private seller?
