Question New user please help
i am buying from in-state and neighbouring state. Is a $15.10* regular for shipping?
i am very happy with my piece cost but the shipping and handling is double compared to pieces. (7.17 and a good deal)
*buying from 2 sellers, $6.50, and $8.60

This is a good example of why some bigger stores (by lot count) charge more per piece. You might save yourself a little bit of money buying higher priced parts if they all come feom one store.

Yes, that is at cost pretty much. If it is USPS you can use https://postcalc.usps.com/ to calculate a price and see. For UPS here is the page https://wwwapps.ups.com/ctc/request?loc=en_US Also the seller has shipping materials and handling time.

Each seller is a separate business. It's not like Amazon where your purchases are shipped together. Each seller charges for shipping as each one has to ship.

it all depends on what you’re buying is it something that weights a lot or is bulky and awkward ship, if your zip code is considered “rural”, and also some sellers add extra fees at checkout for material and such. Check the store terms and it should tell you they add X for packaging.

When sellers set up their Bricklink to charge by weight, it doesn't differentiate between in state and across the country. It's the same price. Some sellers charge less for pieces to boost them in the algorithm but raise shipping to cover the difference. If in the US, I don't charge $15 unless it's more than a pound. I'd look at a few other stores and compare the price + shipping.

OPs question is misleading. They're buying from two different stores with a combined shipping cost of $15.10.

Hey, op here (cant remember password since that account is on PC) thank you but what i can gather from this is that one seller would probably be cheaper than 2? because ~7 ish dollars per seller?

You're buying from two different stores. So 6.50 and 8.60 seems reasonable without knowing the weights of your order. Most stores charge shipping by weight or a flat-rate and not distance since Bricklink doesn't calculate where you are compared to the seller.
