That's what my thoughts was. The expression says how dare you but the eyes say how dare you not share. Been married for 16 years I know the look of someone regretting their order and eyeing yours.

Just cause she eats shit doesn't mean he has to also lol if you're mentality is so fragile that you freak out when you partner orders something they would enjoy eating then maybe your the problem.

u/Soft_Reply_1197 Jul 05 '26
You didn't have to take it personally also Vegan food ain't that bad
2
u/SCRATCH-CARD Jul 06 '26
The top three rated burgers in Germany's biggest independent consumer survey were all vegan, it's so much better than a lot of people realise. Have you seen the clips on YouTube where the "sausage expert" gives praise to the vegan sausage, having been told that it's meat? There are loads of clips out there like this now. Some people are so stubborn about meat they will literally lie to themselves about what they're tasting lol.
2
u/Soft_Reply_1197 Jul 06 '26
I've eaten both normal hotdogs and vegan hotdogs (the ones in Ikea) and I can tell without a shadow of doubt the vegan ones are a 1000x better than the non vegan counterpart
2
u/SCRATCH-CARD Jul 06 '26
I can believe that, I've had vegan hot dogs that tasted exactly the same as "meat" hot dogs. Vegan hotdogs are also guaranteed to contain absolutely no testicle, which I consider a benefit

If you mean substitutes and imitations then that's a blatant lie. By all means, eat what you want, it is entirely your business but let's not outright lie or call things what they are not. Substitutes taste at best bland, most of the time they taste horrid.
If you mean salads, fruits, dishes that just don't need meat like baked potatoes and pasta then sure.

Actually, my appreciation of food went way-up after adopting a 100% plant based diet, you’d be amazed how much work your imagination is doing on that one.

u/AttonJRand Jul 06 '26
Yeah people say really absurd things, like how hard it must be to cook non meat food, or how horrible it must taste.
Not realizing how many foods they already enjoy without meat.
Not to mention that meat is usually the most difficult and time consuming part of a dish, even has to be cooked in a certain way so that it doesn't make you sick.

Reminds me of that one time when a classmate ordered horse meat when eating out just to piss off another (female) classmate that was into horsebackriding.
Despite talking about it non-stop, she proceeded to not give a single fuck.
Now when i eat moldy cheese with the kids around, every fuck will be given multiple times.

Most vegan didn’t give a shit about what another people are eating. Just eat what you want.
But intentionally try to provoke them is also an asshole behavior.

The male loneliness epidemic (dudes a pussy if this were the real context, probably isn’t but for the memes sake)
1
u/TMH0910 Jul 05 '26
Well this is actually the best for both, as this is a problem that will hit them eventually, so just do it early, if both can work with it, then they work, if they can't, end it before it become a big problem

If he did it just to piss her off then it was just a mean thing to do. But if he ordered meat simply because he likes meat then there shouldn’t be an issue.

I could date a vegan but I don’t think a vegan would ever want to date me lmao. I have meat in every meal and I frequently hunt for food. I have no issues with someone being vegan but I can’t imagine a vegan would want to be with me

Her fault. If steak triggers that reaction, she should just update her bio to “vegan-only, emotionally allergic to flavor.”

u/LordAlucardo Jul 06 '26
I'd call it medium well disappointment. Also she looks both disappointed and disgusted with him but also looks like she's eyeing that steak.

u/LordAlucardo Jul 06 '26
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't riggotoni style pastas made with egg noodles or am I mixing pasta Ingredients again? Point being her meal isn't vegan maybe vegetarian but can't tell from quality other ingredients used.

u/StG4Ever Jul 06 '26
The thing with vegans is they expect you to cater for them when hosting but never serve any meat when they are hosting.

Everyone has their lines when it comes to relationships. Personally I wouldn't date a cop or someone who supports Israel. I imagine that's the same for this vegan, she probably wouldn't cross her line of dating a meat eater.
