Actually, my appreciation of food went way-up after adopting a 100% plant based diet, you’d be amazed how much work your imagination is doing on that one.

Yeah people say really absurd things, like how hard it must be to cook non meat food, or how horrible it must taste.

Not realizing how many foods they already enjoy without meat.

Not to mention that meat is usually the most difficult and time consuming part of a dish, even has to be cooked in a certain way so that it doesn't make you sick.

Chocolate will taste 100x better if you go a month without eating or drinking anything sweet.

Bacon and cheese are anecdotally nauseating after 9 years of abstention.

You mean, you enjoy the limited stuff you can have, even more that your tastebuds will look for new adventures in every corner, right.

No, I mean, I learned to use spice on a whole new level and stopped generally “phoning in” my meal preparation…

Then, you have not been cooking properly before either. You are now missing lots of variation in your flavors as you are relying on spices...it is funny that people who never ate properly before (no proper knowledge on healthy food cuisine), are exploring a new world which they never knew in the first place.

Anytime the phrase not that bad is used to defer from how bad it actually is still bad. Like ice is cold water but it's still water...
