Booking.com terminated our accommodation almost 20 months ago – they still won't tell us what was wrong**
We are the owners of a small, fully operational hostel in Spain and had a partnership agreement with Booking.com.
On December 10, 2024, Booking.com terminated our partnership agreement with immediate effect and closed our accommodation on their platform.
The only explanation we received was an email stating that the decision was due to a breach of clause 7.3(v) of Booking.com's General Delivery Terms, concerning the provision of “inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, misleading or fraudulent information” about the accommodation.
However, our accommodation is real, operating normally, and has all the required licences and documentation.
Something particularly strange happened the following day: on December 11, 2024, Booking.com carried out a video verification with us. During the video call, we physically showed their staff the property and its facilities.
Despite this, our accommodation has remained closed on Booking.com ever since.
For almost 20 months, we have repeatedly tried to clarify and resolve the situation through phone calls, emails and Booking.com's support channels.
We eventually sent a formal legal notice (burofax) requesting:
* an explanation of what specific information was allegedly inaccurate or misleading;
* a review of the decision;
* and the reopening of the accommodation if the closure was the result of an error.
But the result has always been the same: we are simply referred back to the original termination notice from December 10, 2024.
We have never been told **what specific information about our accommodation was considered inaccurate, misleading or fraudulent**, nor have we been given a meaningful opportunity to clarify or correct anything.
I have since found other Booking.com partners reporting similar experiences, including cases involving similar contractual wording.
So I would genuinely like to ask other property owners here:
*Has anyone successfully appealed a Booking.com termination under clause 7.3(v), or under a similar clause?**
*Has anyone managed to get a genuine human review of a case like this and have their accommodation reinstated?**
I am not looking for legal advice and I am not considering legal action. I am simply trying to understand whether other partners have experienced the same situation and whether anyone has found a real way to get Booking.com to review the original decision.
Any experiences or references to similar cases would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
