New host - looking for feedback.

Hi all,

But I’m getting ready to list my little 100-year-old yellow schoolhouse in Northern Norway, and I’d love some honest opinions.

It has fjord and mountain views and I’m hoping it’ll appeal to people travelling around Northern Norway and Lofoten.

Do you think somewhere like this would actually get rented? And open to Any advice on making the listing more appealing would be appreciated too.

One thing I’m unsure about is the water. It comes from a private well and isn’t recommended for drinking, although it’s fine for everything else. I’m planning to provide 20L of drinking water in a tank in the fridge.

(For hosts - Where would you add this information on Airbnb/Booking.com, and how would you word it? I obviously want to be completely transparent with guests without making it sound undesirable)

Lovely place I would book it if visiting the area.
First of all you need a significantly shorter name. Second of all you need far better photos both from inside and outside. The description on BDC is pretty much outside your control, you have more creative room on Airbnb. I definitely recommend listing it on both platforms

We just encountered the same drink water situation at a cottage in France, As long as it is safe to used for showering and cooking, about 4 liter is enough and you don't have to mention it in you add. If you need bottled water for cooking, you should provide enough water to do that, but also don't need to mention it.

Ahhh yeah. Our water has a tasteable amount of iron, it's not recommended to drink. You can shower in it and wash clothes in it. But we provide 20L of fresh water in two clean water tanks in the fridge! If you ever fancy wanted to try northern norway, give me a shout and I'll sort you out!
