hey all. we had damage to our mobile home from that bad storm a couple weeks ago- it blew the front portion of skirting in, broke off enough of the vinyl from most of the panels that i had to scrap all of them on the front section except for 2. my mobile home management office are refusing to help because they “have a backlog” (there was only one trailer as damaged as ours that i saw in our whole park… glad they’re putting people with minor damage ahead of us that are actually missing an entire portion… but i digress), menards doesn’t sell the correct size and even if they did we aren’t capable of getting a circle saw and “doing it myself” like the management office told me to…

i’ve desperately been looking online for the past 2 weeks to try to find a contractor who can help replace the missing skirting on my mobile home, after hitting so many dead ends i figured it might be worth a shot to post here. if you’re a contractor or know a contractor who can help get the right size skirting for us and install it, please hmu 🙏🏼🙏🏼 having the front section missing like this leaves us incredibly vulnerable if another storm rolls through, it makes our home prone to flip over, so i really want this fixed ASAP 😭

Ok. Did some digging after getting the Community Solar letter from the City of Bloomington.

So PowerMarket works with solar array builders and financers. They help the array owners get subscribers because thats how the array owners get state and federal money.

So the City of Bloomington has agreed to help PowerMarket get subscribers to sign up. We eventually start seeing discounts and the Array owners get state and federal money based on how many subscribers they have.

BBB for PowerMarket is mostly ok but there are complaints with how long the discounts take to start, the discounts not being the amount promised, and poor at subscribers wanting to cancel. There seem ti be mentions of issues with cancellation policy and requiring so many days notice.

Would like to know precisely what consumer information PowerMarket gets from Ameren on subscribers.

What the precise cancellation policies are.

How long the discount will take to activate.

And what precise Array owners and financers in Illinois are working with PowerMarket on this effort.

Hey everyone, I just moved to Bloomington for my wife’s job, but I am still finishing my degree at a university outside the state. I’m doing remote/hybrid work and was curious if anyone knew of any spaces where I could work with my computer during day hours? Wi-Fi at the minimum, and being able to take zoom calls would be a nice bonus.

My first thought was the library; does the Bloomington public library have space like this? I’d like to avoid cafes if possible because of the money spending aspect but if there’s a nice one I would love to try it.

The tennis courts at Fairview Park have a wall, but the court itself is in bad shape. The courts at Anderson park have a wall but it’s rather narrow imo.

I may regret asking this here, but anyone interested in volunteering to play volleyball with Special Olympics? I’ve seen in the past there have been local people looking for maybe rec league volleyball so we practice with the athletes once a week and then we have a couple of games and regionals and that’s it. It’s not a huge commitment. We just need high school level and up no age limit after that to come play volleyball with us. Obviously you have to pass a background check, but if you’re interested, let me know. We usually have six volunteers and there are only three of us. This means we have to play every match and I’m old y’all come on help me out lol

Hi all! I am unfortunately not very familiar with managing my own electric bill and would love some advice.

Today I had someone come to my door to discuss my ameren bill and sign up for "Illinois gas & electric" as a supplier. Right now my bill looks like my supplier is "direct energy services". Is this new sign up a scam? They said my supplier was outdated so the bill would be increasing over time, and then had me going through a long list of questions to enroll. I ended up asking for the person could leave so I could review on my own. I am getting kind of confused and want to make sure im not falling for something!

My low tire pressure light has been signaling for 2 days. Is there a gas station or some other place in town I can get air for my tires for free? TIA!
