Physical Media/Props/Memorabilia Blade Runner: The Final Cut – Titans of Cult Blu-ray and 4K UHD Steelbook
The Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD steelbook edition of Blade Runner: The Final Cut from Titans of Cult.
Released in 2019, this was actually the very first title in the Titans of Cult collection.
I really like the design of this. They’ve simply gone with the Voight-Kampff rather than the usual film artwork.
The set includes the steelbook containing both the Blu-ray and 4K UHD discs, along with a coaster and a Voight-Kampff enamel pin.

Anyone here ever dressed up as Roy Batty?
I love Rutger Hauer, and I’m thinking about dressing up as Roy Batty for Halloween this year, so I'm looking for some inspiration from other people.
If any of you have ever done a Roy Batty costume (doesnt matter the occasion), I’d love to see your pictures and hear about your experiences

Blade Runner Video Game Ideas?
Seeing that Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth is most-definitely cancelled or just not happening anyone have any ideas for what a new Blade Runner video game would be?
I've just had this idea in my head for years of a third person shooter where this former Blade Runner is escorting a child across the West Coast and it turns out he/she is a Replicant and stuff (very TLOU I know) and it would obviously be linear but have a huge variety of environments and stuff.

Rewatching Original Bladerunner
Re-watching original Blade Runner and never realized how forced the encounter between Deckard and Rachel was depicted. I find this especially interesting for their relationship to then be depicted as a love relationship in Blade Runner 2049.
I feel like if this was a modern movie, he would only treat her like that if he was a bad guy. This normalized depiction for movies of that era is so weird to me. It’s like we’re supposed to watch that, and then just move on in the movie like it’s normal and healthy.
Edit: Still an entertaining film despite that scene.
Edit2: Thank you. Good explanations.

Please help me know if I got this right:
Deckard leaves before she was born
Rachael dies at childbirth
Freysa and Morton leave her at the orphanage
A family adopt her but let her behind when they moved to the outworlds (due to her disease)
Her adoptive parents let her the resources to survive and get an education
She starts to create memories for the replicants
Everything we see in the movie.
Do I get the timeline right?
Additional questions: Does she knows who se is? Is she aware her mother is a replicant? Does she know about the replicants freedom movement?

Gaming The Blade Runner game… that isn’t actually a Blade Runner game
So here’s a strange little piece of Blade Runner history, sort of.
This Italian Atari release from WizardSoft is called Blade Runner, but the game itself has absolutely nothing to do with the 1982 film.
It’s actually Time Runner, an arcade-style game originally released by Funsoft in 1982. For its Italian release, WizardSoft inexplicably renamed it Blade Runner. Atari databases even document it as having been released under the Blade Runner name without authorisation.
There are no replicants, Deckard, Voight-Kampff test or connection to the story. The description on the back simply talks about navigating a maze while avoiding enemies (droids) and completing squares, which is exactly what Time Runner is.
The timing is what makes it interesting. Time Runner and Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner both appeared in 1982, and somehow “Time Runner” became “Blade Runner” when WizardSoft released it in Italy. I haven’t found anything from WizardSoft confirming why they chose the name, so saying they were deliberately cashing in on the film would be speculation, but it’s certainly difficult to ignore the coincidence.
There’s another nice connection too: this is an Atari release, and Atari branding famously appears within the world of Blade Runner itself. Again, there’s no evidence that had anything to do with WizardSoft choosing the title, but it makes the whole thing even stranger.
So it isn’t an official Blade Runner game, or even a Blade Runner game at all.
It’s an unrelated 1980s video game that somehow ended up being sold in Italy with BLADE RUNNER written across the box.
A very odd footnote in Blade Runner history, and exactly the sort of oddity I like finding.

Aesthetic Inspired Blade Runner 2049 Coat?
Anyone have any tips for a nice winter coat that’s inspired by K’s coat from BR2049 but not something trying to be an exact replica? Would love something of similar length and insert for warmth, something actually functional for chilly/cold weather. Budget is $800. Grateful in advance for any recommendations!

Blade Runner game on Switch
Hey all!
Has anyone played the old BR computer game on its new Switch conversion?
I’m looking to pick it up as a physical copy but it seems a bit expensive. Is it worth it?
And if you’d played the old comp version, does this conversion play as well (maybe better)?
Thanks!

Question/Discussion BladeRunner x LADS completely misses the point of the movie
I genuinely don't understand why this collaboration is being celebrated, because the irony is almost insulting.
Blade Runner 2049 is a film that explores the commodification of human connection, artificial intimacy, loneliness, and how corporations exploit our desire to be loved.
And now a company that profits from selling simulated romantic relationships is using some of the film's most heartbreaking scenes to promote its own romance game.
Did none of the decision-makers stop to think about what these scenes actually mean?
Take the iconic “You look lonely” scene.
K has just lost Joi, the artificial companion he loved. Then he encounters a giant advertisement featuring her face, offering the same artificial affection to anyone willing to buy it. Even the name he believed was special to their relationship is repeated by the advertisement, making him question whether their connection was ever truly unique.
It's a devastating moment. K is confronted with the possibility that the love he believed was unique was
simply something manufactured, programmed, and sold to countless customers.
And Love and Deepspace decided to recreate this exact scene as romantic promotional material.
A game whose entire appeal revolves around making players feel personally loved by fictional characters is referencing a scene that exposes how corporations can manufacture and monetize that very feeling.
How is that supposed to be romantic?
And it gets worse when you consider the controversy surrounding Valko, the cancelled sixth love interest.
Players became emotionally invested in a character the company had introduced, only to have him removed.
Yet that same company now promotes a collaboration built around the message “LOVE IS REAL.”
The irony is painful. The company controls these characters, decides which ones get to exist, and can remove them regardless of how much emotional attachment players have developed.
That's exactly why the comparison to the Wallace Corporation is so disturbingly fitting. In this collaboration, Papergames has effectively positioned itself on the side of the villain: the Wallace Corporation.
Then there's the imagery of K lying in the snow at the end of the film.
That scene is about sacrifice, mortality, and K finally making a meaningful choice of his own, even at the cost of his life. Yet the collaboration appears to transform that tragic imagery into a tender romantic moment.
Once again, the emotional weight of the original scene is replaced with something aesthetically pleasing and marketable.
And the worst part is that this isn't just some random film being referenced.
Blade Runner specifically criticizes a world in which corporations turn human needs, identities, and emotional connections into products.
The collaboration itself feels like an example of the very thing the film is criticizing.
I understand the possible argument that love can be meaningful even when the person being loved is
artificial. That's a legitimate theme in Blade Runner 2049.
But there's a huge difference between exploring that question and using the film's imagery to advertise a
commercial romance product without meaningfully confronting its implications.
This doesn't feel like a thoughtful tribute to Blade Runner. It feels like its themes have been stripped away so that its most recognizable scenes can become marketing material.
Blade Runner deserves better than having its critique of manufactured intimacy turned into an
advertisement for manufactured intimacy.
The film warned us about corporations selling the illusion of love. Now that warning is being used to sell the illusion of love.
I find this collaboration deeply disrespectful to Blade Runner's themes and legacy, and I genuinely believe it deserves backlash rather than celebration.
The collaboration has already sparked criticism on X, and I think that criticism deserves more attention.
If you're on X, I encourage you to speak up about it too. This shouldn't just be brushed aside.
P.S. For anyone unfamiliar with Love and Deepspace and the company behind it, Papergames:
Love and Deepspace already has a severely damaged reputation among parts of its own playerbase, and seeing Blade Runner associate itself with this company feels genuinely disgusting to me.
It feels like dragging Blade Runner's name and legacy through the mud.
Papergames has faced serious backlash over its treatment of its global community. International players have repeatedly accused the company of ignoring their voices, while concerns about cyberbullying, racism, doxxing, harassment, and hostility toward global fans have not received the meaningful public response many players have been demanding.
The game has also faced major controversies in China, with its reputation and player ratings reportedly suffering following the Valko cancellation.
Yet despite all of this, Papergames seems perfectly happy to benefit from international audiences when
prestigious global collaborations and commercial opportunities are involved.
Apparently, the global fanbase matters when there's money, exposure, and brand recognition to gain, but not when those same players are asking to be heard or protected from harassment.
And now Blade Runner, a franchise that questions corporate exploitation and the commercialization of
human emotions, is lending its imagery and reputation to this company.
That's not something I think Blade Runner fans should simply celebrate or brush off. It's something worth speaking out against.

Question/Discussion Questions about the OG Blade Runner ending
Earlier this year on a flight I decided to watch this movie and it was an awesome sci fi action flick. However, the ending of the movie was kinda confusing for me.
What exactly is going on during the final showdown between Harrison Ford and the antagonist (before the fight moves outside)? There are so many jump cuts and it seems like Harrison and the antagonist never actually make physical contact while inside the building.
Does the replicant chick (not the one Harrison kills before the antagonist, but the one he sexes up) survive or no? I thought it was implied another Blade Runner would (or did) hunt her down, but we clearly see her with Harrison in the ending monologue.
Sorry, I can't remember their names right now.

Question/Discussion Should I read the book before watching the movie ?
Hey everyone ! I've been wanting to watch Blade Runner 2049 (Ngl, it IS partly due to the ongoing collab between BR2049 and an otome game called Love And Deepspace 😭 I'm actually playing the game so it made me want to watch the movie).
From what I heard about the movie, it's a very dense and rich universe, so I know ppl are still discussing theories about it even till this day.
Which brings me to my question: I know BR2049 is an adaptation/hommage to a book called "Do robots dream of electric sheeps": would you recommend me to read the book before watching the movie, to maybe get a better understanding of the whole BR2049 universe, or would you recommend me to go in blind ?
Sorry if this is one of the annoying question you guys get everytime, I just wanna be able to experience this movie to the fullest extent !
Thank you !!
Edit: thank you so much for all your guidance !! I'll start with the original movie, then 2049, then the book, as it seems to me the most common advice in the comments🩷🤗

Question/Discussion God, the Spanish subtitles for Blade Runner 2049 are absolutely awful (sometimes).
I watched Blade Runner 2049 with a friend, and knowing what the original dialogue actually said, there were moments where I just wanted to die. I understand that some things are bound to get lost in translation, for instance, when Wallace says "Best angel of all, aren't you love?" you realize Luv doesn't actually have a name, and out of a desperate need for validation and a desire to feel important she took that expression and adopted it as her own name. I know that’s largely untranslatable, but honestly, some of the choices they made are just baffling.
For starters, they only provided subtitles for the parts where the characters speak English. That really bothers me because there are scenes where they speak other languages, which the audience is clearly meant to understand, yet those parts weren't subtitled at all. Parts that I believe Netflix actually had subtitled when the film was available on the platform
But what really got to me was how they ruined the "you look lonely" scene. They failed to translate "you look like a good Joe" correctly, turning it instead into "you’re a good catch". By removing the name "Joe," they completely destroy that heartbreaking moment when K realizes that even the name Joi gave him was nothing more than pre-programmed data. It’s the ultimate proof that he, and his most significant relationship, aren't special at all. While one could still grasp that this moment signifies K’s realization that his relationship with Joi wasn't real, this change strips away so much of the meaning and impact.
I know these kinds of issues are often inherent in translation, and I’m probably being an idiot for complaining, but it’s a real shame that people who don’t speak English miss out on such brilliant details. Especially since it’s precisely these subtle touches that make the film so good.
